On this anniversary of the Upstairs Lounge Fire, we are reposting our episode from a year ago.

On June 24, 1973, the Upstairs Lounge, a gay bar in the New Orleans French Quarter was torched killing 32 people and injuring 15. The complacent attitude of the police, firefighters and politicians was beyond hateful.
