In this episode, I discuss rebranding your business, when you should do it, and how to get started. I discuss the cons of rebranding, walk you through how to do a brand audit, and tell you how to spot opportunities to differentiate yourself from the competition.

Rebranding your business is the process of changing how your business is perceived by your audience. Those changes usually include a new logo and website. They may also include a new name, tagline, colors, fonts, visual assets, messaging, copy, and possibly even new services.

You might need to rebrand when you’re embarrassed of your brand, when your brand isn’t really different from your competition, when your brand is confusing, or when your brand develops a negative perception.

A brand audit is an exercise that gives you a snapshot of the state of your current brand. The brand audit will help you figure out what exactly needs to be changed during your rebrand.
