In this episode of "A Changed Mind," host David Bayer explores the transformative power of translating vibrations into reality. This episode delves into the intricate relationship between thoughts, emotions, and actions, emphasizing how they shape our physical and emotional experiences. David discusses the concept of interpreting vibrations through our senses and how misinterpretations can lead to restrictions in our lives.
David identifies three primary areas where these restrictions manifest: the psycho-emotional plane, the physical body, and our external reality. By understanding and addressing these limitations, listeners can unlock their potential for personal growth and healing. Bayer offers insights into overcoming these barriers, encouraging a shift from primal states of stress to powerful states of joy and curiosity.

Mentioned in this episode:
They're mostly nothing. And now that we're able to look even more closely at the bits and pieces that we call the particles, meaning the solid things, the neutrons, the protons, the electrons, we actually see that those things are not always material, that they have the potential of being material. Oftentimes they're energetic. They have a potential in being in different locations. And so essentially, everything that you see in the physical world is this shimmering, fluctuating. Sometimes they're mostly nothing reality that your sense of sight is rendering into a physical experience. Very much like when you're looking at through a browser on a computer, you're not actually looking at the Toyota on the screen. You're looking at an interpretation of a bunch of information, information that then renders as a Toyota. And so that's what your senses do. You interpret vibration through your sense of sight so that you could have this beautiful visual experience of the world. And you do the same thing with your sense of smell, you do the same thing with your sense of taste, you do the same thing with your sense of hearing, and you do the same thing with your sense of touch. The sense of taste reminds me of that scene in the Matrix where one of the characters is eating a steak and he knows it's not a steak, but he doesn't care that it's not a steak because it tastes like a steak. So he says, what's really the difference between the illusion in reality and so you've been plopped down onto this planet called Earth, which is, in a sense, a simulatory experience in that you're not actually seeing what you're seeing, what you're interpreting as vibration energy into the cinematic reality. So that's one way that you interpret vibration, the other way that you interpret vibration. And this is one of the unique distinguishing factors of the human being. And what makes the human being so powerful. In fact, it's what makes the human being a powerful creator. Or in some ways made in the image of God or creation itself, is that we are able to translate nothing into something. In other words, we're able to take an idea. And through the process of translating the vibration of an idea, which is just an energy frequency, we're able to then materialize or make matter or physical in our reality, that idea. So we actually have the ability to create into physics. It's quite magical when you think about it. This is why there are so many stories of magicians or mages or ancient people who were able to just materialize things. We do that through the power of our action. We take an idea that has thoughts associated with it. We experience those thoughts as emotions. Those emotions catalyze action. We take that action, and given enough time, we're able to create something from nothing. So this is just a baseline understanding that's necessary if you want to truly have an extraordinary life. Because there are some areas of our life where we are misinterpreting reality. And we are experiencing resistance. And it's creating restrictions in our capacity to create. Whether it's our capacity to create in our bank account, whether it's our capacity to create in our business, whether it's our capacity to create in our relationships. And so we want to identify where these restrictions are so that we can begin to work with them. It would be the same thing as if you were experiencing some range of motion restriction in your shoulder. As a result of some fascia or tissue that had tightened or become damaged. You would find a practitioner who could help you loosen that up. So that you could get back to wellbeing in full range of motion in your shoulder. We're wanting to support you in getting back into full range of motion in your life. And so there are three primary areas where these restrictions occur. And it's important that you understand this, because when you do, you can look into these areas. You can Find the restrictions and you can work with the restrictions. So the first area is the psycho emotional plane or the psycho emotional dimension that you're operating in. And that's basically how you think and how you feel. So there are restrictions there. There are limitations in the way that you're thinking. Thinking, for example, that you can't trust people. Thinking that you're not good enough, thinking that your message deserve to be heard, thinking that you have to work hard to make money, thinking that there's not enough time. All of these are restrictions that are materializing in the thought emotional realm. These are restrictions that we learn from other people. They aren't inherently true. They don't exist in nature. Nature doesn't view, or the universe doesn't view, or God doesn't view that there's not enough time. God doesn't view that you're not enough. God doesn't believe that you can't trust people. There may be some people who you experience in your life along the way who don't deliver on what they said that they would do or who may have violated your safety. But as a general rule, the system itself is built for trust. It's built for prosperity, it's built for abundance, it's built for possibility. And so we want to be looking at when we are having thoughts and experiencing emotions that are restrictions. Because then we can use all the different tools that we talk about on the show or that you can learn from other great personal development teachers to begin to remove the restrictions. I'm not going to talk so much about how to remove the restrictions in this episode, but just where the restrictions are found. So the first is found in the psycho emotional dimension of your life. And I want to give you a distinction so that you can identify where there's restriction.
Because if we were doing a physical evaluation of you and we moved your shoulder, we would be able to understand what a normal range of motion would look like and see that you weren't able to access the normal range of motion. And so we would know there's a restriction there. Well, how do we know if that you've got a psychological, emotional restriction taking place? If there's a limiting belief or a trauma that is unprocessed, that is building resistance in your capacity to think and feel. And the answer to that question is a distinction that we teach called the two states of being. And perhaps you've heard me share this on other episodes. But what the distinction says is that there are only two states of being. We call those powerful states of being. And Primal states of being. These are two categories of emotional states. Powerful states are states like joy, curiosity, excitement, enthusiasm, compassion, passion states of being that feel good. And these are states of being that are active. When the parasympathetic state of the nervous system is active, then we have primal states of being. Primal states are states of being that don't feel good. They're states like stress, anxiety, overwhelm, anger, jealousy, boredom, hopelessness. And these are states of being that we experience when the sympathetic or fight or flight activation of the nervous system is taking place. And so the sympathetic nervous system, or these primal states are meant to be active exclusively when we're being truly threatened, when we're being chased by a bear, or we're when to motivate us in the midst of starvation or any other life threatening type of danger. But what happens is we become so habituated or acclimated to this state of the nervous system that we become addicted to it. And so now you're scrolling through your newsfeed and because it seems like someone else has a more abundant or prosperous life than you do, you move into feeling like you're not enough and feeling hopeless. And your sympathetic nervous system becomes activated completely inappropriately. Or a story that I've told before is when I first met my wife Carol, we'd go out to dinner and I didn't have a lot of money back then, but I wanted to take her out for a nice night. And I would just pray while I'm sitting there looking at the menu that she wouldn't want a bottle of wine or that she wouldn't want the filet mignon. So I would move into fight or flight just staring at a menu in a restaurant. But that's not how this system was designed to function and serve us. And so most people are spending most of their life inappropriately in the sympathetic expression of the nervous system. And so what's important to understand is whether you're in a powerful state or whether you're in a primal state is determined by one thing and one thing only, which is not the situation or circumstance. It's not sitting and looking at the menu, it's not scrolling through your newsfeed. It's actually the meaning that you're giving that experience. That's what determines whether you're in a powerful state or a primal state. And you're always in one state of being or the other. You're always in a powerful state or an emotion associated with a powerful state, or you're always in a primal state and you're never in two states at the same time. But again, what determines what state of being you're in is the thinking or the meaning that you're engaging with in the present moment. Either the meaning that you're giving about an experience that's happening, or as you're ruminating about the past or the future, the meaning that you're giving about that experience in the past or the future, it will determine whether or not you're in a powerful or primal state. And so when we're looking at restrictions, when we're looking at the resistance that we have and we're wanting to align ourselves with proper vibrational interpretation of reality, it's important to understand that when you move into a primal state, what's happening is an improper interpretation of reality. So there's a meaning that you're giving to something in your life that is improper or inappropriate. We use the word unintelligent. And what that means is that your belief about the situation is not actually in alignment with the way the universe or God or intelligence views that situation. It's almost as if moving into a primal state and activating your sympathetic nervous system. Again, other than when you're under direct duress for survival is almost like a lie detector test inside of you that's saying, ah, whatever it is that you're thinking right now, that's actually not true. I like the phrase like, that's not God's will for you. You could use your higher power, the God of your own understanding, or the universe, if you want. But what it's basically saying is this thought that, like, you shouldn't have drank so much last night that you're feeling so guilty about isn't true. Well, Dave, what do you mean? Well, what I mean is maybe you want to drink less, but you absolutely should have drank as much as you drank last night based on all of the trauma that you're carrying and the decisions that you're making and the friends that you're hanging out with. So let's not beat ourselves up for how much we drank. Let's get out of a primal state. Because the ability to actually find recovery and drink less and improve your life doesn't come from a primal state. It comes from a powerful state. This idea that there's not enough time to get everything done, and if you don't get it done, then you're going to fail. Well, that's going to move you into a primal state. Whether you're thinking that about running your family or some project you need to do or a job that you have. So if it's moving you into a primal state, that's an indication of a restriction. And the restriction there is that you believe you don't have enough time and that you're going to fail. When the truth is is that time really has nothing to do with our capacity to get things done. A lot of that has to do with timing, it has to do with the quality of thoughts that we have.
It has to do with our energy and our frequency and our vibrancy. We become more solution oriented or more capable, or we create coincidences or synchronicities in our life. So if you really look at it, time isn't a factor, but non resistance or being in high vibration, that's what actually allows you to get things done and harness the power of synchronicity. So this idea that you don't have enough time, the universe is telling you like, hey, that's not really true, you're looking at the wrong metric. And so we're able to identify these restrictions in our life. Anytime we move into a primal state, we can take a look at our thinking and therein we will find some form of limitation that is self imposed. Were essentially interpreting vibration incorrectly. Because as you're experiencing in your life and you're giving meaning to your life, your brain is processing it and trying to mentalize it and it's coming up with these ideas and these concepts, and these ideas and concepts that it's coming up with are shaped by your core belief systems that you developed before the age of seven, before the prefrontal cortex was fully formed and you were still giving meaning to life and building out the rules by which you believe life worked and rules about yourself, rules about money, rules about relationships. And so what's happened is you've kind of created this cataract on the lens of your vibrational capacity. And as information comes through that cataract, it moves you into a primal state and you suffer. So this is good news that we can look within this dimension of our life to find the restrictions that are preventing us from being whole, from achieving our full potential, from being healed, from being prosperous and abundant. And this is one area we can look at which is what I would call the psycho emotional plane or dimension of how vibration is organizing itself within you. There's also an even more profound organization of vibration within you, and that's in your physical body. That's the second realm. So the first one is like how you think and you feel. The second one is your body course in miracles, which is A great spiritual book said something like, all disease is a result of unforgiven resentments. And forget about resentments for a second. But I've heard a lot of great spiritual teachers, and in my own study of metaphysics and my own journey of healing my own body, I've realized that all dysfunction inside of my body is a result of unprocessed or unmetabolized trauma. Remember, we are interpreters and translators of vibration. And so as you're thinking and feeling thoughts on a regular basis, that information is being sent through your nervous system. It's being informed through all of your cells. And when you're thinking unintelligent things, when you're looking through that cataract lens that you've developed over time, it creates a dissonant energy in your system. And that energy begins to accumulate. And it accumulates as arthritis, it accumulates his inflammation, it accumulates his autoimmune, it accumulates his chronic disease, it accumulates his cancers. And if you actually look at what I believe, it's the CDC or the FDI can never keep track of them. But whoever would say this, they basically say, you know, 90% of major disease categories are stress related. That's the one thing that they all have in common. And so there's an accumulation of stress in your body. Louise Hay did an amazing job in her book Heal youl Life in mapping the areas of the body to the psycho emotional concepts that are unresolved that are creating them. So like if you have unresolved anger, there's specific areas that materializes and manifests in the body. If you feel like you're not good enough or you're hopeless, it materializes a specific things like, let's say, gastrointestinal disorder. Dr. John Sarno found the same thing. He was a chiropractor who was working with patients. And he saw that some patients had no problems with their spine, but extreme back pain. And other patients had terrible spines. He described them as the spines of cadavers, yet experienced no pain. And so over time, he came to see that as those people who were in chronic pain had become obsessed with their chronic pain that had unresolved psychological issues. So the unresolved psychological issues had accumulated as we translate the vibration through our system into tissue dysfunction and what he called hypoxia in the body. Tissue restrictions that prevented the proper flow of oxygen that then created inflammation, whether it was in the bowel, whether it was in the joints, whether it was in the back. And then over time, as people experienced These psychological emotional symptom manifestations, they then became even more afraid and more stressed of the symptoms themselves. And so his encouragement and Louise Hayes encouragement is go upstream and address the improper interpretation of reality. Meaning, take a look at the belief systems so that you can take some of the heat off of the accumulation in the body. And then number two, don't be so worried about what's going on in your body. It'll go away if you just leave it alone, if you don't make it matter. So they say, go work out more, go spend time with friends, go do things that you enjoy. So the second area where there is vibrational interpretation dysfunction that's showing up again. It's an opportunity for you to go, oh wow, like I have these physical ailments. And so this is something for me to look at. And a great again, Louise Hayes book, heal your life is a great go to in the back of the book, in the table of contents, you can actually just look up whatever it is that you're experiencing and then notice if you find that there is some similarity with some of the psychological dysfunction that she's suggesting, some of the limiting belief systems or unmetabolized trauma.
And then number one, start using tools to work through that misinterpretation, the psychological misinterpretation. Number two, get into habits to downregulate your nervous system and be more emotionally at peace. And number three, don't freak out about these symptoms that are showing up in your body and just address them at a root cause level and go on living your life. And if you stop making them matter, then, well, they'll dematerialize the third dimension where trauma or limiting beliefs are playing out. That is part of this vibrational interpretation arena that we're operating in is your life. Literally the experiences that are showing up in your life, the quality of the relationship that you have with your significant other and the friction that may be there or the absence of a significant other, even though you very much want to find your soulmate, or the financial insecurity that you're experiencing other than financial prosperity and abundance or situations in the workplace or in your career. We can identify where we are unnecessarily experiencing resistance, then the resistance is inside of us. It's to be healed in the ways that we've talked about by observing our external circumstances and noticing where we are experiencing things that we don't like and what our reaction is to those experiences. So I'll give you an example. Some people always feel like they're in financial insecurity. And they never have enough money to get through to the end of the month. And somehow they get through to the end of the month, but they always feel that way. And so you would be looking at a situation like your bank account and the bills that are due, and you'd have a reaction to it. And the reaction might be something like, I never have enough money, or money's hard to make, or what am I doing wrong? But what's important to understand is those aren't actually reactions to your financial situation. Those are long held belief systems and psycho emotional habits inside of you that have created your financial situation. See what's so interesting about the fact that we are interpreters of vibration and also powerful creators that we're able to translate these ideas or these beliefs into our reality. Whether they're ideas you like, or whether they're limiting beliefs or unprocessed traumas, we translate them back into our reality. And then when we meet those experiences that we've created, we have a reaction. And we think that the experience is what's invoking the reaction inside of us. But actually the reaction was something that we learned at a very early age, again, almost always before the age of seven, before the prefrontal cortex was fully formed. We watched mom and dad, or maybe we grew up in an environment where there was no mom and dad. And because human beings are meaning making machines, we started giving meanings to all these things. Money is hard to make, Money is scarce. Money is the root of all evil. You can make money, but you have to sacrifice the things that you love. Money comes, but it doesn't stay very long. Relationships never work out. I can't trust people. I'm not good enough. Children should be seen but not heard. My message isn't worth hearing. So again, that's all part of the cataract that develops around our vibrational capacity to interpret. And so then it creates dysfunction in our thoughts, in our emotions, in our body, and in our external reality. And so we talked about how we could be identifying some of these restrictions or resistances by noticing when we move into a primal state and looking at what we're thinking. We also talked about how we can identify some of these restrictions by looking at our physical body. And if there's any expression of symptomatology. But now what we're talking about is like look at the manifestation of your life, because your life is reflecting back to you what is inside of you. And so if there are circumstances or situations that you don't like about your life. Observe those circumstances or situations for a moment and notice your reaction to them. Because what I'm saying is that reaction isn't really a reaction. It's an old root cause, thought or idea or emotion that you have. It's a belief system. And that belief system is creating this experience. And then when you meet this experience, it invokes the same reaction from you. And so this is a way that we can inventory more effectively what's going on in our lives. A lot of people who get into personal growth or even who get into our work, who now have access to tools, they're doing the work, they're changing their beliefs, they're healing their traumas. But they're like, but how do I know if there's still something there? And my goal is not to have you like chasing trauma for the rest of your life. You should be spending the vast majority of your time enjoying your life. But just notice that as you're out experiencing in your life, there are these moments of contraction that show up, whether it's in your mind and emotions, whether it's in your body, or whether it's in your, let's call it your reality, your third dimensional material life. And when those contractions occur, they become the material for healing and transformation. If you understand that your inner world is playing out across these three outer landscape, your psychological, emotional, your physical body, and your third dimensional life, so gives you a great place. It's almost like a living journal to start pulling information down from again, not because you're constantly looking for problems, but there are just going to be times where you move into a contraction in one of these three areas. And that contraction can be inventoried and worked with using the other tools I teach on this channel or the other tools that a lot of other great teachers teach. But in order to do the inventory, you got to know where this restriction is showing up. And it's showing up in these three areas. So I hope this was helpful for you. I enjoyed being able to share this with you. It took me a long time to really figure this out, but it allows me to play the game of life more effectively now because I know kind of what I'm looking at. When things are showing up, I know what they are, even though sometimes I still choose to not really do the work around it because I'm still a human being too. But I get how miraculous we are as creators of our own reality and translators of vibration. And I think it's really, really helpful to see it through this lens.
