The Parable of the Fig Tree can be found in Matthew 24:32-35; Mark 13:28-29; and Luke 21:29-31. Jesus uses this parable to teach us to be patient, watchful and prepared for his return. Changes to the Fig Tree can help us mark the changing seasons. Changes happening all around us can help us mark the return of Jesus. While we do not know the date or time of his return, we can be watchful and prayerful. There are signs of his return already. Are you ready for Jesus' return? Are you doing the work of the Lord?
