Shownotes

In this podcast episode, servant-host Daniel Miller discusses the Book of Mark chapter 9. In doing so, we share personal practices of daily scripture reading, reflecting on techniques learned during academic experiences to aid in understanding and emphasizing collaborative learning within the Christian community.

Specifically, the podcast delves into moments in scripture, highlighting Peter’s divine experience in Matthew 17 and Luke 9, as well as Jesus’ teachings on faith, healing, and rising from the dead. Jesus’ teachings on humility, service, and childlike faith are also explored, with reflections on modeling one’s faith after that of a child.

We discuss human tendencies to question and the importance of faith in recognizing God's creation. The narrative emphasizes the importance of faith, belief, prayer, and serving God diligently, touching on a father’s struggle with unbelief and the necessity of combining Bible study, prayer, and discipleship.
