Shownotes

Welcome to Day 7 of International Week of Yoga: Movement, Meditation, Spirit & the Divine Feminine.

In this episode, we explore how yoga can support healing for the mind, body, and soul in a grounded, spiritual, and accessible way.

Yoga can help calm racing thoughts, support focus and emotional balance, and teach us to witness our thoughts without becoming consumed by them. Through breathwork, meditation, mindful movement, and rest, yoga can help create inner spaciousness and a deeper sense of presence.

For the body, yoga can support flexibility, strength, mobility, balance, and body awareness. Gentle yoga, somatic yoga, restorative practices, and Yoga Nidra can help the body soften, reconnect, and rest. Yoga also encourages us to listen to the body instead of fighting it.

For the soul, yoga can create sacred pause, reconnect us with purpose and intuition, deepen our relationship with the Divine, and help us feel less fragmented and more whole.

This episode also includes a gentle reminder that yoga is not a replacement for medical or mental health care. It can be a supportive spiritual and wellness practice alongside other forms of care when needed.

Important Gentle Note

Yoga is not a replacement for medical care, mental health care, therapy, medication, physical therapy, or professional treatment when those things are needed.

Yoga can be a supportive spiritual and wellness practice. It can work beautifully alongside other forms of care and may help support breath awareness, nervous system regulation, emotional balance, body awareness, rest, and spiritual connection.

Mind, Body, and Soul Healing

Mind

Yoga can help calm racing thoughts, support focus, create emotional balance, and teach us to witness thoughts without becoming consumed by them.

Body

Yoga can support flexibility, strength, mobility, balance, body awareness, nervous system regulation, deep rest, and a more compassionate relationship with the body.

Soul

Yoga can reconnect us with purpose, intuition, inner wisdom, sacred pause, the Divine, and a deeper sense of wholeness.

Spiritual Reflection

Yoga does not ask us to escape the body. It teaches us to come home to it.

The body is not separate from healing. The body is part of healing. The breath, awareness, compassion, movement, and rest all become part of the path home.

Journal Prompt

Where do I need healing right now: my mind, my body, my heart, my energy, or my spirit?

You may also reflect on:

  • What would healing look like if I approached myself gently?
  • What is my body asking me to hear?
  • What thoughts have been consuming my mind?
  • Where do I need more inner spaciousness?
  • What part of me feels fragmented or disconnected?
  • What practice would help me feel more whole today?

Closing Practice

A simple body scan:

Bring awareness to the forehead, jaw, shoulders, heart, belly, hips, legs, and feet.

Soften each area as much as feels available.

Then repeat:

I come home to my body.

I listen with compassion.

I welcome healing one breath at a time.
