Speaker:

All right, everyone, welcome back to

another episode of I Can't He Can.

2

:

I'm your host, Sai, and this is episode

24, titled The Perfectionist and.

3

:

Aren't we all perfectionists?

4

:

It seems nowadays that we are all trying

to seem like life is beautiful and

5

:

perfect every single day, 24 7, and that

could not be further from the truth.

6

:

So I am here today to discuss.

7

:

I have been literally shredded into pieces

and have come to the realization that

8

:

I have a lot of work to do on myself.

9

:

I have a lot of work to do on

myself, and the more I read the

10

:

Bible, the more I walk with Christ,

the less shiny I seem and you know.

11

:

I don't blame my family for seeing

me the way that they see me and for

12

:

judging me the way that they judge

me now that I am walking with Jesus.

13

:

And I only say that because

they know the real me.

14

:

They see all of the imperfections.

15

:

They see all of the.

16

:

Work that I need.

17

:

And so I'm grateful for that, but

it's a hard truth that I see now and

18

:

anyway, coming to terms with the fact

that God is such a perfectionist and

19

:

that he has a plan for us all is not

always easy, but it gives us hope.

20

:

It gives us hope and there

is always something to do

21

:

better, something to learn,

22

:

and that's beautiful.

23

:

there is hope and his name is Jesus.

24

:

Okay, and so what can we consider

trials a trial in this day and age?

25

:

Honestly can be anything.

26

:

You guys really, we are so consumed by the

smallness of the world that anything that

27

:

disrupts our daily living pattern probably

stretches us a little thin, right?

28

:

It leaves us anxious, sleepless,

and even quiet, although our

29

:

minds are screaming for help.

30

:

James chapter one, verse two through four

says, consider it all joy, my brethren,

31

:

when you encounter various trials,

knowing that the testing of your faith

32

:

produces endurance and let endurance have

its perfect result so that you may be

33

:

perfect and complete, lacking in nothing,

so that we may be perfect and complete.

34

:

Lacking nothing, but how can we be these

things when it's almost impossible to

35

:

find true joy through these hard times?

36

:

We won't lack anything if and

only if we trust and endure

37

:

with faith, and it's hard.

38

:

It is even more on a daily

basis, if I'm being honest.

39

:

If we're going through trials

every single day, left and right.

40

:

It's hard.

41

:

But what was revealed to me recently is

that God has an answer for everything.

42

:

He may not have shared this with you yet.

43

:

He may not have spoken or revealed

himself to you yet, but rest assured

44

:

that he is the ultimate planner.

45

:

He is the ultimate mediator of life

and the ultimate perfectionist.

46

:

He is the creator of all things.

47

:

God was meticulous in every way.

48

:

Every body of ocean, every

piece of land has a purpose.

49

:

Every creature that inhabits those

oceans and that land serve a purpose.

50

:

So how could you?

51

:

How could I?

52

:

The ones that are a smid less than

the angels, like the Bible says,

53

:

are not going to have a purpose

for these trials that we live.

54

:

We have dominion over everything in

the land, like Psalm eight, six says,

55

:

so how can I change your perspective?

56

:

What if I can shift your

point of view with the same

57

:

revelation that I had recently?

58

:

See, I posted this on my Instagram story

and TikTok the other day, and it reads.

59

:

Just a thought.

60

:

If you keep making the same

mistakes over and over, it's okay.

61

:

That could only mean a

lesson was not learned.

62

:

The issue at hand was not corrected.

63

:

There's no shame in that.

64

:

However, when you go through that

situation again, try it again, but

65

:

this time with Jesus, God shows up.

66

:

If you call on him, have faith

that he will show up, have faith

67

:

that he will guide you and see

how that works out for you all.

68

:

Glory to God.

69

:

And you see your trials, your troubles,

your debts, pains, heartaches,

70

:

breakups, even the good times.

71

:

It is all part of our God's plan,

and yes, we can deviate and create

72

:

some more obstacles for ourselves,

but just like a parent, sometimes you

73

:

have to let your kid go through the

fire so they can learn lessons and

74

:

learning right from wrong are what

shaped children to be honorable adults.

75

:

Heck, that's why we

have the Old Testament.

76

:

It's all the laws, all of

the rules, everything that

77

:

God thinks is just and right.

78

:

And while that is not part of our

salvation now, It's still taught

79

:

humans what it is that we need to

do that is right, and the things

80

:

that we shouldn't do that are wrong.

81

:

And even then, my friends, we will still

face temptations we will most likely do

82

:

wrong, even when we know that it's wrong.

83

:

It sounds redundant, but it's so true.

84

:

Sin is a thorn in our flesh.

85

:

The same way that Second Corinthians

12 says, sin is a thorn in our

86

:

flesh, but with that thorn, our

strength is made perfect by Christ.

87

:

Why?

88

:

Because if we call on him and we have

faith in his works, we will have rest.

89

:

Notice, I didn't say it will be okay.

90

:

No, no, no, no.

91

:

A lot of the times, even if we

call on him, things are still not

92

:

gonna be fully okay, but we have

to go through these things in life.

93

:

It's preparation.

94

:

But God loves us enough to send Jesus, to

give us rest and to redeem us once again.

95

:

Let's read second Corinthians

chapter 12, verse seven through

96

:

10, the thorn in the flesh, lest I

should be exalted above measure by

97

:

the abundance of the revelations.

98

:

A thorn in the flesh was given to me, a

messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I

99

:

be exalted above measure Concerning this

thing, I pleaded with the Lord three times

100

:

that it might depart from me, and he said

to me, my grace is sufficient for you, for

101

:

my strength is made perfect and weakness.

102

:

Therefore, most gladly, I will rather

boast in my infirmities that the

103

:

power of Christ may rest upon me.

104

:

Therefore I take pleasure and infirmities

and reproaches and needs and persecutions

105

:

and distress for Christ's sake, for

when I am weak, then I am strong.

106

:

And speaking of Christ, he understands us.

107

:

You'd argue then why must we suffer

and go through trials in the first

108

:

place that I, well, how else will

our faith in the Lord be proven?

109

:

That is as simple as

it gets, in my opinion.

110

:

How else will our faith be proven?

111

:

We're not just gonna stand on the

street corner and say, we love Jesus.

112

:

We love Jesus.

113

:

If we haven't gone through a few

things, I don't really think faith is

114

:

born You must know about Jesus and

what he did for it to actually grow.

115

:

I have said myself in a few

episodes before that, I'm ashamed.

116

:

I didn't even know what

Jesus went through.

117

:

I knew who God was, but then

again, I was taught about God,

118

:

but I wasn't taught about Jesus.

119

:

So yes, we have to suffer

and go through trials for our

120

:

faith in the Lord to be proven.

121

:

But you know what?

122

:

God is so perfect and so detailed in

everything he did and does that even

123

:

when he gave us his son, he didn't

make him come down as a spirit.

124

:

He wasn't some sort of glorious looking

angel that would hover over society.

125

:

No, he was just like you and

just like me, flesh and bones.

126

:

I wish I could recall where I

saw that it explained in the

127

:

Bible that Jesus seemed to be.

128

:

Unremarkable an appearance.

129

:

It escapes me right now, and I'm sorry.

130

:

I wish I actually, um, could have

found that I tried to do a little

131

:

bit of research, but for some reason

I couldn't find that scripture.

132

:

So if I do, I will let you guys

know what it is in the next episode.

133

:

However, just know that even in

God's plan to send us a redeemer,

134

:

he made that redeemer part human

so that we could relate to him.

135

:

He understands.

136

:

Jesus knows all feelings and emotions

that we go through on a daily basis,

137

:

and even more so he knows pain.

138

:

He carries awe of our pain, plus

what he endured on that cross.

139

:

Hebrews chapter four, verse 14

through 16 says, seeing then that

140

:

we have a great high priest who has

passed through the heavens, Jesus,

141

:

the son of God, let us hold fast.

142

:

Our confession for we do not have a

high priest who cannot sympathize with

143

:

our weaknesses, but was in all points

tempted as we are yet without sin.

144

:

Let us therefore come boldly to the

throne of grace that we may obtain mercy

145

:

and find grace to help in time of need.

146

:

Guys, he sympathizes with our

weaknesses come boldly to the throne.

147

:

We are tempted by sin and all

the same points that Jesus was.

148

:

If that is not the perfect

judge, then what is?

149

:

Then who is who else can be a better judge

than the one who went through it all?

150

:

And then some.

151

:

Your plan is detailed.

152

:

I'm telling you, your plan in

life was refined like gold to the

153

:

very extent of fire that you'll

feel that will have to shape you.

154

:

God is the director of your life

and the writer of your purpose.

155

:

One Peter chapter one, verse six through

eight says, in this, you greatly rejoice

156

:

though now for a little while if need be.

157

:

You have been grieved by various trials

that the genuineness of your faith

158

:

being much more precious than gold,

that perishes, though it is tested by

159

:

fire, may be found to praise, honor

and glory at the revelation of Jesus

160

:

Christ, whom having not seen you love.

161

:

Though now you do not see him yet

believing you rejoice with joy

162

:

inexpressible and full of glory and

in all that perfection, my friends.

163

:

Yes.

164

:

And in all that perfection that God

has and has written down for us.

165

:

there are lessons, there

is fire, there is rebuke.

166

:

We don't just rebuke the enemy.

167

:

No, the Lord rebukes us too, and

probably several times in a day,

168

:

we are wrong almost every single

time because we don't listen.

169

:

God gives, but he takes away and this

is done, especially when he needs you to

170

:

listen to the direction that he is giving.

171

:

And sometimes what you

face isn't even about you.

172

:

Our minds are so warped that we assume

that all things point back to us.

173

:

Why can't we be humble?

174

:

Why can't we see that sometimes what we

go through can help the people around us?

175

:

No, We are just a speck on earth that

is to be used for the pleasure of God.

176

:

He made us for him.

177

:

So maybe the Lord wants to use you.

178

:

You're not just here to praise God.

179

:

Maybe you're his vessel, you're his vessel

used to help in someone else's trial.

180

:

So don't hold back and speak to God.

181

:

But by the same token, shout out to

others what he has also done for you.

182

:

Share how he has refined you.

183

:

How he's changed you, how he's

still working on you, and that's me.

184

:

I need to learn to shut up.

185

:

Mind you, if I shut up, I may

not be doing this podcast.

186

:

So I'm here speaking boldly, coming to

the Lord boldly every day, asking him

187

:

to show me what it is that I need to do.

188

:

But yes, I need to learn how to shut up.

189

:

I need to know when to lower my voice.

190

:

Especially when speaking to my

children, I need to listen for his

191

:

direction and not just to others

around me, but to him as well.

192

:

I need to listen, especially to

him, and for that reason, I've

193

:

misinterpreted a lot of what he

is trying to show me and tell me.

194

:

I keep wondering sometimes, God,

why aren't you speaking to me?

195

:

But I realized he's very

clear in his silence.

196

:

Some things are not for me, A lot of

things are, but if you're not quiet

197

:

enough to try and understand his

direction, then you are simply misguided

198

:

and you have a lot of work to do.

199

:

So that's kind of where

I am at this point.

200

:

Revelation Chapter three, verse 19 says,

as many as I love, I rebuke and chassen.

201

:

Therefore, be zealous and repent.

202

:

Be zealous.

203

:

Yes, repent, especially come to the throne

boldly, as I mentioned a few minutes ago.

204

:

There is nothing that you can't bring

to him that he does not already know.

205

:

Not only is he omniscient, omnipresent,

but he already wrote this in your heart.

206

:

He already knew what

you were going to say.

207

:

He put it there.

208

:

He simply wants you to speak to him so

that he can offer you his next step.

209

:

Rest, and above all his love.

210

:

We'll never understand

how much God loves us.

211

:

But we will if we are quiet enough and

still enough and vigilant enough to see

212

:

how detailed he has been in our lives.

213

:

And so my friends, as always, I thank

you for tuning in and for listening.

214

:

I hope this has blessed you.

215

:

Until next time, take care.

216

:

I.
