Rapp Report Daily 0423 What Does it Mean that God is the Creator? When people say that God is the Creator. What does it mean? Well, quite simply it means that God is the Creator. It means that God created everything that was created. We see this starting in Genesis chapter one where in the beginning God created the heavens and the Earth, so he created everything that was first created. We see this more prevalently in Colossians, 1:15-23 where it states of Jesus Christ for by him all things were created in heaven and on Earth visible and invisible whether Thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities, all things were created through him and for him and He is before all things and in him all things are held together." So he holds everything together. Now an important thing to remember is when people say well that is of Jesus. But when we go back to Isaiah 44:24. We see that it says "thus says the Lord your Redeemer who formed you from the womb. I am the Lord who made all things who alone stretched out the heavens who spread out the Earth by myself." So it clearly says that God Alone created everything that was created and Jesus, therefore as the Creator must be God, so it means he created everything out of nothing.
