Music is a universal language that can connect you to people around the world. Tim welcomes the multi-talented Daniel “D’Aych” Harris to the show. D’Aych is an accomplished producer and independent gospel/rap/rock artist from Milwaukee and founder of the Next Level Band.

Tim and D’Aych talk about the world of music and its impact, and explore its use as a communication tool. They also explore the importance of humility to receive criticism and the discipline to stay focused and hone your craft.

05:42 I wound up being left at home a lot with the instruments. Music really became not only a second language but it became my best friend at that point. 

11:13 He said, what you’re doing is good, but he said music is like a conversation. You don’t want to overstep your boundaries in the course of the conversation. You want to be able to say something, and then give room for the other person to say something.

I think one of the most beautiful things, one of the most beautiful processes is the fact that you can look at a picture, but one of the old school ways of developing the picture was in a dark room. That’s what God did with my life. People see the full picture now but they don’t know that process happened in a dark room.
