Pastor Josh:
Pastor Josh here.
Pastor Josh:
I would like to give you a preview of our Sunday morning service on December 8th here at Middletown Baptist Church.
Pastor Josh:
The title of the sermon is the Grace Giver.
Pastor Josh:
We're going to look at 2 Corinthians, chapter 8, and what it means to give out of the abundance that God has blessed us in.
Pastor Josh:
You know, we've been gifted so much in the Lord.
Pastor Josh:
Most specifically and most importantly, we've been gifted our salvation.
Pastor Josh:
And so the Bible teaches us that as we understand the grace of God, as we understand the gift of God, we then understand that enough to share that with others and that we can be a grace giver.
Pastor Josh:
God is the greatest giver of grace.
Pastor Josh:
But we also do know that as Christians, we can be grace givers as well.
Pastor Josh:
And so we're going to study that in 2 Corinthians, chapter 8 and the whole month of December here at Middletown Baptist Church.
Pastor Josh:
Our theme is gifts.
Pastor Josh:
Now we're going to be talking about gifts that we can give, gifts that we receive.
Pastor Josh:
And we know that as Christians, we've received that greatest gift in the gift of salvation.
Pastor Josh:
And we're going to study that throughout this month.

Pastor Josh:
And we pray that as a Christian, you can understand what it means to be a grace giver.
Pastor Josh:
But also, if you have not trusted in that gift of grace, we pray that you can understand what God told us when he said that he loved us so much that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him shouldn't perish but have everlasting life.
Pastor Josh:
And that's really what the Christmas season is all about, that greatest gift given to us in Jesus Christ.
