Before we start by one request, if any new insights or awareness land with you during this episode, please send me an email at info at the Ian Hawkins coaching.com. And let me know what you found. I know the power of this word, I love to hear the impact these conversations have. Okay, let's get into it.

When you're trying so desperately hard to get results and success in a particular area. You can experience a fog that just seems to overwhelm you. You don't even seem to actually give the results even though you're putting in so much effort. And what's generally happening is that you're too attached to the outcome. You're too focused on the final result that you're losing touch with, what are the steps you need to take? You would have heard me talk again and again on this podcast. The example from a sports psychologist. simple terms, when you performance dibs, go back to process. The best teams have a process, the teams that get the best results stick to the process. So do you know what your process is? Do you have a repeatable process that you know works? And how much time and energy are you putting into the process, instead of wasting so many thoughts, and so much energy and so much time on worrying about the results. And you've got a process that works and you stick to the process results take care of themselves.

The fog will pass you'll find clarity, you'll find motivation. And you'll take more action than you could have ever imagined. Your results in triple, quadruple 10 times to come back to process. So how do you find a process that works? Now, depending on what it is, there are different places you can get help, of course. But if you're looking for something that you can apply to pretty much every area of your life, look to one area of your life where you consistently get good results. And look at the process that you go through reverse engineer and think of what other steps remember taking a client through this last year as a CEO, high powered CEO. And there were different times where he still got distracted. And there were different times where he got anxious and he got overwhelmed and all those same sort of things we all deal with. And operating at the highest level. This doesn't make you immune from these things. So we talked about what the process was that he always did well, and what were the key things breaking him down into chunks. Things like making sure he was in a good headspace before he went went into orbit particularly environment. Ask questions come with a caring attitude. Have planning in place. Now I'm not saying these were specific for for him. But it's those sorts of things that might, you might just feel like it's just Elementary. But it's why that one area of your life gets results. Because you do these things that becomes second nature because you just keep having repeated success. And we all have these areas. And even if you're listening to this going well I don't really know what area I have success that there will be an area where you've had continual success. So have a think about one of those things that you discard. That's not success. That's just what I do. You don't even see the value in it. But there'll be some magic in there that you can repeat and put in place for pretty much every other area of your life by repeating that same pattern. So if I look at where I got results later in my sporting life more consistently, is because I did lots of training worked really hard. I visualized beforehand, I was prepared, make sure all my gear was ready, clean that I was on time or early. And that I took in an attitude that I was just going to keep working really hard through the process and focus on the things that I know I do really well, not trying to be someone that I wasn't. And when I did those things, I got results. And when I apply those same steps to other areas of my life, I get results. So you need to know what it is for you. and map out just five for now, key steps. If you can find more fantastic. Map out those five steps. Apply them to no party life. And watch your performance change as you stick to your process what your results change as you focus on your process. And continuing to detach from the outcome. Stick to the process and watch things improve.
