Shownotes

Ronald is a Christian writer, Bible student and learner, and digital content creator with a passion for helping people discover Jesus through the pages of Scripture. His work centers on sharing biblical truth, Bible prophecy, and encouraging believers to build a deeper relationship with Christ through God's Word.

His great desire for God and sharing the truth with people has led him to start a YouTube and Instagram channel called "Sermon Snippets", wherein he shares short clips of sermon clips so that people are able to consume God's truth, one bite at a time.

Beyond that, Ronald works as a professional writer, creating content across a range of industries while using his various God given skills to serve both clients and God's kingdom. Whether writing, learning, or producing digital resources, his desire is to help others know the Bible more deeply and live with confidence in God's promises.

Ronald is committed to sharing the everlasting gospel through articles, videos, podcasts (very soon), and other digital platforms, with the prayer that every message will lead people closer to Christ and prepare hearts for His soon return.

Speaker:

Our prayer is that this listening space brings growth and transforms your life forever.

Speaker:

Praise God for you, Ronald.

Speaker:

It's a great pleasure to connect with you.

Speaker:

What part of the world are you in today?

Speaker:

I'm from India.

Speaker:

I come from the eastern side.

Speaker:

How did you come to meet Jesus?

Speaker:

I've been born as a Christian.

Speaker:

So like, you know, my whole life I've been a Christian, but I would say in my past, normally I used to like, you know, people say that you are a Christian by my name.

Speaker:

I was like that.

Speaker:

I never really knew Jesus that well because I never really studied and read his word often as I should have.

Speaker:

So back then, I really wasn't so much into it.

Speaker:

But praise God for the past few years, I've really gotten that hunger and thirst to learn more about God.

Speaker:

You know, my main goal in life is that I want to get more closer to him and also to share with people because I feel because if people know, they know the truth, you know, the truth will set you free.

Speaker:

How has God changed your life?

Speaker:

God has changed my life massively.

Speaker:

I've seen him throughout my life that he's been with me, even though when I haven't been true to him, he's always there with me.

Speaker:

He has saved my life more than I can ever imagine, honestly.

Speaker:

Do you have many friends where you live who are Christians as well?

Speaker:

I do have a couple of Christian friends, not many because in this part of the world, we don't really have much Christians.

Speaker:

But I do have a couple of friends who we sometimes have conversations about God and it's really beautiful to have conversations.

Speaker:

I also have conversations with other denominations, like other religions, and they also sometimes want to learn about the Christianity religion.

Speaker:

So I go and I find it very amazing when those people come and say, you know, I want to talk about God.

Speaker:

It's amazing to talk to them.

Speaker:

How old are you now?

Speaker:

I'm now 30.

Speaker:

Amazing.

Speaker:

So you've been on this earth for three decades and you've had the experience with Christ and without Christ.

Speaker:

What has been your ministry?

Speaker:

What do you think is going to be the thing that you delve deeper into to help build the kingdom?

Speaker:

Well, I feel God uses everyone differently.

Speaker:

So many people can go preach, like, you know, and many people can also do other kinds of work.

Speaker:

I personally believe that I might not be someone who can go in public and speak.

Speaker:

I feel I don't have that, probably, gift.

Speaker:

I am someone who likes to stay on the back end and work my way to share people's, like, share God's message.

Speaker:

So I prefer, or rather, I think God is using me to share his message through digital evangelism.

Speaker:

So past couple of years now, I've been sharing God's word on my social media.

Speaker:

I've been, I also, in fact, created a platform where I share God's word, small clips of sermons and all because I believe these little things means a lot, you know, when you share with people, they get to know about God.

Speaker:

And if even one person gets to know God, I think that's more than enough.

Speaker:

What's the name of your platform?

Speaker:

How can people access it?

Speaker:

So the platform that I use, it's called Sermon Snippets.

Speaker:

I have a channel on YouTube and I also have an Instagram account for it.

Speaker:

I've been sharing it for the past few months now.

Speaker:

The channel is growing, praise God, it's growing.

Speaker:

It's about 350 or 370, I believe, subscribers right now.

Speaker:

And on Instagram, it's about 1800 followers.

Speaker:

I'm really blessed.

Speaker:

Honestly, I don't, I'm not so much focused on the numbers.

Speaker:

I'm more focused that people watch it and understand God's word.

Speaker:

And that's the main thing for me.

Speaker:

So I'm really thankful that God is using me to share his message with people through, you know, these digital platforms.

Speaker:

Are your parents Christians?

Speaker:

Absolutely.

Speaker:

Yes.

Speaker:

Praise God.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

What is the reaction they have to the route of ministry that you've decided to follow?

Speaker:

How do they feel about it?

Speaker:

They absolutely love it.

Speaker:

They feel that, you know, we should put God first.

Speaker:

And I am thankful for, to them as well, that they are also like strong Christians that they want to, they also want to, like, you know, share his message with people.

Speaker:

So whenever people come to our house, different guests come, we try to share little by little God's word, so that they get to know because many people do not know about God.

Speaker:

And I feel we all deserve to know about the truth.

Speaker:

And then you can make a decision whether you want to follow God or not.

Speaker:

I know for different seasons of life, there are different passages in the Bible that resonate more, right?

Speaker:

But this season of your life, what's resonating the most from the Bible for you?

Speaker:

I don't think a major section of it, but I feel for me, I love the story about Enoch, where he walked with God 300 years.

Speaker:

And I personally feel I want to walk that, you know, I want to do that.

Speaker:

I want to walk with God as long as I live on this earth.

Speaker:

I want to walk with him.

Speaker:

I want to go walk hand in hand and like he is my guide.

Speaker:

He's my anchor.

Speaker:

I want him to lead my way because I know if I go my way, I'm going to fall.

Speaker:

I'm going to have troubles.

Speaker:

But if God is there with me, I think even though you're in trouble or whatever happens, you can, you know, if God is there with you, so you have the peace.

Speaker:

And Jesus says that, you know, the peace I give you, nobody, the world cannot give you.

Speaker:

And I think that's the most important thing.

Speaker:

Having that peace that Jesus gives you, nothing like it.

Speaker:

What has been your path of education?

Speaker:

What have you been studying meanwhile?

Speaker:

Well, when I started, actually my background, I studied a different pathway.

Speaker:

I was doing accounting.

Speaker:

And while I was pursuing the course, I actually started writing.

Speaker:

So the writing, my passion for writing started.

Speaker:

I used to write blogs on, I was like more into sports before.

Speaker:

So I used to write articles on sports, but then I drifted more into different genres of writing.

Speaker:

And praise God, now I'm only focusing on biblical writing.

Speaker:

So I do write articles on Medium, where I share about God and truth about God.

Speaker:

And I really love writing those articles because I see people come coming and they like, you know, comment on those things.

Speaker:

We have discussions.

Speaker:

There are sometimes little arguments and stuff, but we eventually, you know, we have a proper healthy discussion about God.

Speaker:

And I'm thankful that God is using me now to share whatever way to share his message.

Speaker:

Are you ready to start a podcast?

Speaker:

Me personally, yes, I really want to.

Speaker:

I actually had this idea.

Speaker:

In fact, on LinkedIn, you see, I have a page actually on LinkedIn where I've already created the podcast name and all, but I think I need more experience.

Speaker:

So I'm trying to learn how to do the podcast, how to create, how to record and all these things.

Speaker:

And hopefully, praise God by next year, probably I should start.

Speaker:

Next year, the entirety of next year.

Speaker:

So I will, I'm committing to helping you start your podcast.

Speaker:

Yeah, I'll give you all of the ins and outs of what I've learned over the years.

Speaker:

I believe it's a very good way, an avenue for you to move from the next level of being behind the scenes and doing the posting of the other snippets and moving into having interviews or having conversations with other people.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

So I'm putting my hand up and saying, I'm going to help you with that.

Speaker:

Thank you so much.

Speaker:

I really appreciate it.

Speaker:

I need more people like that who are supportive, you know, and wants to share the main motives to share God's Yeah, I think the way you speak is pretty impressive.

Speaker:

The accent is there.

Speaker:

So I can tell you're from India, but wow, your use of the English language is very, very good.

Speaker:

I must say.

Speaker:

Thank you so much.

Speaker:

Actually, my mom, she is basically a background is Anglo Indian.

Speaker:

So her background is mostly Spanish and English background.

Speaker:

And my dad's background, basically, his dad was from the Caribbean islands.

Speaker:

Come on now, which island?

Speaker:

Which island?

Speaker:

Do you know which island?

Speaker:

Yes.

Speaker:

Which island?

Speaker:

You won't believe it, Trinidad.

Speaker:

Oh my gosh.

Speaker:

Wow.

Speaker:

Isn't that amazing?

Speaker:

How God works.

Speaker:

So here I am.

Speaker:

And bringing the full circle of your podcast coming from someone who is God is amazing, isn't he?

Speaker:

Surely God is good all the time.

Speaker:

His ways are better than always.

Speaker:

Absolutely.

Speaker:

Absolutely amazing.

Speaker:

And as I was telling you, before we got recording, I had three other people from India scheduled for today.

Speaker:

And I don't know what's the reason.

Speaker:

I know that sometimes the internet can give challenges and then schedules are not the same as the Western side where the calendar is ever in the forefront of our eyes here.

Speaker:

So I understand, but I was very glad that you connected.

Speaker:

Wow.

Speaker:

Isn't that amazing?

Speaker:

So your father's father left Trinidad for India or did your father leave for India?

Speaker:

No, my parents, they were born here.

Speaker:

I think their parents used to live there.

Speaker:

I don't know much about, yeah.

Speaker:

So I don't know much about the details of that.

Speaker:

I just thought that they are from Trinidad.

Speaker:

That's what my dad told me.

Speaker:

And I'll tell you right before this conversation, I had something that we call aloo pie and chana, which is an Indian delicacy, right?

Speaker:

It's with chickpeas.

Speaker:

The Americans call it chickpeas.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

We call it chana in Trinidad.

Speaker:

Right.

Speaker:

And yeah, just before getting onto this call, I celebrated my Indian roots, man.

Speaker:

Absolutely.

Speaker:

We also call it chana.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

And I love it.

Speaker:

That's my, one of my favorite meals.

Speaker:

So what do you foresee in the horizon?

Speaker:

I really want to share God's message.

Speaker:

My last couple of years, honestly, my mindset has changed.

Speaker:

I used to focus more on, you know, I want to get a good job.

Speaker:

I want to work.

Speaker:

I want to do well.

Speaker:

I want to settle down, stuff like that.

Speaker:

But now I honestly don't focus on those things.

Speaker:

My focus is I want to share God's message with people.

Speaker:

I really want people to know about God because we are living in a time right now where I believe Jesus is coming really, really soon.

Speaker:

And we must prepare ourselves.

Speaker:

We must get others ready as well, get others to know God's truth.

Speaker:

And I believe my focus is completely on that.

Speaker:

I don't want to focus on anything else.

Speaker:

Like, you know, even though if I say, God forbid, if I even lose my job, I'm more willing to do that.

Speaker:

If for God, I want to just go out there, share God's message.

Speaker:

And that's my real desire right now.

Speaker:

Five years from today, you're listening to this conversation.

Speaker:

You're hearing 30-year-old Ronald speaking, right?

Speaker:

And you'll be 35.

Speaker:

What's a message you'd leave for future you?

Speaker:

I would say that no matter what happens in life, whether there will be ups and downs in life, you will have highs, you'll have lows, but never leave God because no matter what you're doing in life, God will always be there for you.

Speaker:

He will take care of you.

Speaker:

You don't have to worry.

Speaker:

You always, he says, you know, do not be afraid, do not worry.

Speaker:

I am there for you.

Speaker:

I will care for you.

Speaker:

If I can care for the sparrows, what more you are worth more than the sparrows, so I can care for you.

Speaker:

And I believe that's what we should take heart that yes, no matter what we go in life, nothing, whatever happens, just God is there and he will always be there for you.

Speaker:

Ronald, it's been an honor speaking with you in closing.

Speaker:

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Speaker:

Well, I'm honestly very thankful to you that you reached out.

Speaker:

And when I, when I got that message, you know, personally, I was a little skeptical that I don't know whether, you know, because I get a lot of messages like those, you know, come join my podcast and have a conversation, but it never really happens.

Speaker:

So, but then I got emails from, from your side, from your team.

Speaker:

And I was like, no, this is definitely going to happen.

Speaker:

And I was looking so forward to it.

Speaker:

I honestly, I was regretting that why did I schedule it so late?

Speaker:

I should have scheduled it much earlier to have the conversation, but honestly, for the past one month, I was looking forward to this conversation.

Speaker:

I was like, I'm just waiting that I'll get on call.

Speaker:

I'll, I'll have a conversation with you.

Speaker:

And it was really a pleasure to be on your show and to talk about God.

Speaker:

And I think talking about God is something I absolutely love and absolutely cherish it.

Speaker:

And so I'm so thankful to you, you know, to reach out and you can, we could have this conversation.

Speaker:

Yeah, you're welcome.

Speaker:

I appreciate you passing by.

Speaker:

There's no time like the present.

Speaker:

Now God is still the boss.

Speaker:

So Ronald, Daniel, Samson, a pleasure, a treasure.

Speaker:

Thank you for being on what is Inspired by 12 Minute Converse.
