Speaker:
A question I see come up a lot is how do I come up with enough content ideas?
Speaker:
But for me, that's the wrong question. Because you don't need hundreds of random
Speaker:
topic ideas, you just need the right starting question.
Speaker:
And here's how that works for almost any niche.
Speaker:
Start by writing down 10 questions your audience regularly asks.
Speaker:
Now if you're not sure what those are, think about the emails you've received,
Speaker:
social media comments, conversations you've had, or questions you've answered more than once.
Speaker:
There's a good chance those questions can each become an episode.
Speaker:
Then, take each of these questions and come up with three different angles.
Speaker:
So, for example, if your podcast is about podcasting like this one,
Speaker:
and the question is, how do I grow my audience?
Speaker:
One episode could be about promotion, another one could be about audience retention,
Speaker:
and another could be about improving discoverability.
Speaker:
And suddenly, one question has become three episodes.
Speaker:
Do that with 10 questions and you've already got 30 episode ideas.
Speaker:
And the best part is they're based on things people are actually asking.
Speaker:
Because the easiest way to come up with podcast content isn't guessing what
Speaker:
your audience wants, it's paying attention to what they're already telling you.
Speaker:
And that's often enough to keep you creating for months.
Speaker:
Until the next time, happy podcasting.
