Speaker:

Welcome to the mesmerizing marketing podcast, where we take a deep dive

Speaker:

into the latest marketing trends, tools, and tips, and provide you with

Speaker:

the top resources you need to thrive and make your marketing mesmerized.

Speaker:

And now here's your host dimple.

Speaker:

Dang.

Speaker:

Hey everybody.

Speaker:

Welcome back today.

Speaker:

I'm super excited.

Speaker:

I'm going to be talking to you about the 10 social media apps and tools that are

Speaker:

going to help you elevate your business.

Speaker:

All right.

Speaker:

And everything that I mentioned today will be linked in the show notes.

Speaker:

So make sure you go check out the show notes.

Speaker:

So number one, Is a platform called one up this platform provides a simplest

Speaker:

and easiest way to schedule and manage all of your social media posts.

Speaker:

And the advantage of using this is that not only can you manage

Speaker:

your Instagram and Pinterest and LinkedIn and Facebook and Twitter,

Speaker:

but you can also manage your local Google, my business posts.

Speaker:

And for those of you guys that do have an actual address for your business,

Speaker:

and actually even if you don't, as long as you have like a phone number

Speaker:

and an address that you can have the Google card sent to verify your

Speaker:

identity, you can have a Google listing.

Speaker:

And I highly recommend that if you don't have a local Google listing, that you'd

Speaker:

go set one up because you guys, you want to be in as many places as possible.

Speaker:

And, Google, local listings do rank high when it comes to, the search result page.

Speaker:

And the one thing I love about one-up is that it also allows you to preschedule

Speaker:

your post for a Google, my business.

Speaker:

We take the blogs and we reshare them to, Google my business

Speaker:

and it gets a lot of traffic.

Speaker:

So the only thing you have to know about is like, once you post something.

Speaker:

On Google on Google, local listings.

Speaker:

It doesn't stay there forever.

Speaker:

It expires after like a couple of days.

Speaker:

And then you have to post it again.

Speaker:

Or you can just keep posting, you know, new content and then recycle

Speaker:

old content at a later date.

Speaker:

So definitely try this tool out because it will let you repurpose your content

Speaker:

as well, because they think that you can't just post something once.

Speaker:

And then that's enough because everyone's not going to see it.

Speaker:

If you post it one time.

Speaker:

You have to post the same piece of content multiple times

Speaker:

for enough people to see it.

Speaker:

And that is why you can.

Speaker:

Repurpose and recycle your existing content.

Speaker:

And that also makes it easy because you don't always have

Speaker:

to be coming up with new posts.

Speaker:

Like if you posted something two months ago, you can post it again.

Speaker:

If you're posting one post on average a day, you can post that again in 30

Speaker:

days and people, you know, Note as it gets the same post, they're just

Speaker:

like, oh, this is valuable information.

Speaker:

Or, oh, this looks familiar, but you know, so just think of it that way.

Speaker:

All right.

Speaker:

So definitely go check out, the one-up app.

Speaker:

I'm going to be putting all the links in the show notes for you guys.

Speaker:

So the number two that I want to talk to you guys about is called mention and

Speaker:

mention is amazing because what it does is it enables brands to monitor the.

Speaker:

And to listen to their audience and manage social media.

Speaker:

So you can set up different alerts for your brand and you can allow that

Speaker:

key word to monitor social media.

Speaker:

So it'll basically crawl different forums like.

Speaker:

blogs and new sites and review websites and social media.

Speaker:

And you can see what other people are saying about your brand.

Speaker:

And that is something that you do want to know about when people

Speaker:

are talking about your brand.

Speaker:

Like if you get a.

Speaker:

You want to know right away, right?

Speaker:

You want to keep on top of that?

Speaker:

Is it a good review?

Speaker:

Is it a bad review?

Speaker:

And you want to be able to manage your brand.

Speaker:

You also can use this to, to check on what your competitors, what people

Speaker:

are saying about your competitors.

Speaker:

And I think that is always good because you want to know what they're doing.

Speaker:

You want to know they're in the media.

Speaker:

You want to know they just released a press release because you need

Speaker:

to know and knowledge is power.

Speaker:

So number two was mentioned.

Speaker:

And again, it'll be linked for you guys in the show notes.

Speaker:

All right, you guys, I'm going to talk about number three now.

Speaker:

And number three is absolutely one of my favorites.

Speaker:

I pretty much use it every day and it is called otter.ai and otter.ai

Speaker:

is basically a platform that allows you to take notes in transcription.

Speaker:

And it also allows you to.

Speaker:

Upload files and it will transcribe them for you, but you guys will be blown

Speaker:

away@howmanydifferentwaysyoucanuseotter.ai.

Speaker:

So what I want you to do is I want you to grab a pen and paper

Speaker:

right now, write this down.

Speaker:

I'm going to link them in the show notes as well, but on the

Speaker:

mesmerizing marketing podcast, I want you to go listen to episode 33.

Speaker:

where I interviewed Simon Lau, who is a VP of product@otter.ai.

Speaker:

And we'd talk about eight ways to use otter.ai to set up your

Speaker:

business for success in 2022.

Speaker:

And then also go and listen to episode 10, where we talk about the power of.

Speaker:

Artificial intelligence meeting notes.

Speaker:

And that was also another interview with Simon.

Speaker:

And if you guys want to try out Otter for yourselves and get, a free trial and

Speaker:

a discount, use my affiliate link in the show notes and definitely try it out.

Speaker:

But I I'll tell you a couple of ways that I use.

Speaker:

I use it for even zoom meetings with clients where I'm doing a VIP day,

Speaker:

and I want to get all the notes.

Speaker:

Well, I can record that.

Speaker:

And in fact, you can even set it up where you can automatically have it record all

Speaker:

of your zoom meetings if you wanted to.

Speaker:

And then I also use it to record my own clubhouse rooms.

Speaker:

I also use it to, record.

Speaker:

Answers and responses like instead of emailing someone back, I will

Speaker:

send them a detailed voice message.

Speaker:

And the advantage of that, it saves me so much time, like versus trying to type out

Speaker:

a long, detailed explanation of something that would be way easier to explain.

Speaker:

By talking to someone don't you ever wish when people are, sending you an

Speaker:

email back and forth that they would just literally pick up the phone and,

Speaker:

everything could be sorted out in two or three minutes versus like going

Speaker:

back and forth for hours and for days.

Speaker:

Well, this is one way to expedite that process without

Speaker:

having to pick up the phone.

Speaker:

So give it a try.

Speaker:

All right.

Speaker:

So next, we're going to talk about number four.

Speaker:

Number four, slack and slack is one that I have also personally used myself.

Speaker:

And it is great to communicate with people within your office.

Speaker:

It is great to organize.

Speaker:

Things into, buckets.

Speaker:

, you can provide uploads.

Speaker:

It's just like a instant chat.

Speaker:

Think of it that way, where you can communicate with your team very

Speaker:

quickly and you can get answers.

Speaker:

You can upload documents and files, but don't go too crazy with slack,

Speaker:

with the documents and files, because they do have some better resources for

Speaker:

you that we're going to share for the.

Speaker:

On this episode, because if you do upload everything there, but you

Speaker:

don't organize it to rest me, it's going to be a nightmare to find.

Speaker:

And that's like my only pet peeve, but you can check out slack, you

Speaker:

know, I think for your office, it's a great way to communicate,

Speaker:

or even with your virtual assistant or, your team, things like that.

Speaker:

Number five is one.

Speaker:

I absolutely love it's Canva.

Speaker:

So canva.com.

Speaker:

Again, I'm going to link it in the show notes so you guys can get a free trial.

Speaker:

So use my link and you'll be able to try it out for free, but

Speaker:

Canva is absolutely amazing.

Speaker:

I mean, it is a graphic designer, on your computer.

Speaker:

And all of the amazing things that it does and the features that it has.

Speaker:

I mean, they could charge a hundred dollars a month and I would pay

Speaker:

for it because I have not seen too.

Speaker:

Like Canva that provides so many different options and ability to create

Speaker:

so many different types of social media posts and collateral and everything.

Speaker:

And it already gives you the templates.

Speaker:

It gives you the size dimensions and it also.

Speaker:

Has the ability to remove the background.

Speaker:

So when you see people that have like these wonderful website cover

Speaker:

photos and you know, the background is removed and it's just a photo

Speaker:

of them and maybe some words on it.

Speaker:

Well, that's how you can create that without paying, you know, $500 to have

Speaker:

it done by a professional graphic artist.

Speaker:

So there's a tip right there.

Speaker:

So definitely check out Canva.

Speaker:

All right.

Speaker:

So the next one I'm going to talk about is lumen five.

Speaker:

So this tool allows you to repurpose your online content,

Speaker:

such as articles, our blogs, and repurpose them as well as videos.

Speaker:

So basically what you would do is you would take the URL and

Speaker:

you would type it into the app.

Speaker:

And what it's going to do is it's going to convert that article into a slide show.

Speaker:

So it's going to come with a toolkit that has copyright, free

Speaker:

music, special facts, and media.

Speaker:

And, you will need a paid version if you want to do like the higher quality videos,

Speaker:

but definitely check it out because repurposing content is the way that.

Speaker:

If you have one piece of content and you can repurpose it many different ways.

Speaker:

I think and it goes way further than having to always create, you know, so

Speaker:

much content that you're exhausted.

Speaker:

So definitely try that out because you can repurpose that, especially if your

Speaker:

article or blog is very information focused on a how to, if you're

Speaker:

teaching someone how to do something and it turns it into a slideshow.

Speaker:

You know, that makes it really easy for people to consume that information.

Speaker:

All right.

Speaker:

We are going to go to number seven.

Speaker:

This is for all my podcasters and podcast fans out there who

Speaker:

like to listen to podcasts.

Speaker:

So this one is called listen notes.

Speaker:

And if you love podcasts, you're definitely going

Speaker:

to want to check this out.

Speaker:

It's basically like a search engine for podcasts.

Speaker:

With Lissa nodes, you can create a playlist of specific episodes, and then

Speaker:

it also helps you find related podcasts.

Speaker:

If you're searching for a particular topic are even a particular person.

Speaker:

Like if you know, someone's a podcast or.

Speaker:

It's going to show you other podcasts that they have as well.

Speaker:

And then the other way that I use listen notes, as you can type

Speaker:

in a particular podcast and you can see how it ranks globally.

Speaker:

And that gives you an idea of the popularity of that show.

Speaker:

So the cool thing is you can go ahead and you can create a playlist and listen to

Speaker:

notes, and then it's going to give you a URL and you can take that URL and you can

Speaker:

put it into your favorite podcast app.

Speaker:

So then you can listen to that particular playlist on your favorite podcast app.

Speaker:

How cool is that?

Speaker:

I love that actually.

Speaker:

I am going to have to try it.

Speaker:

That feature.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Is one.

Speaker:

I haven't tried out.

Speaker:

I used to listen to notes a lot, but I have not created a playlist.

Speaker:

So I'm going to do that one.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

All right, we're going to go to number eight.

Speaker:

And number eight is a platform that I've known about for years and it is called

Speaker:

I F T T T again, I F T T T again, I'm going to link it in the show notes for

Speaker:

you guys, but I have TTT is amazing.

Speaker:

It's an app that has gotten its name from the statement, if this, then that.

Speaker:

So the software connects different apps, devices, and services from various

Speaker:

developers in order to trigger automation.

Speaker:

So for example, if you are a user of Google dry, And you want to automatically

Speaker:

have files from your phone, go to your Google drive to a particular folder.

Speaker:

You can create an automation for that.

Speaker:

You can create an automation for Twitter to do different things.

Speaker:

There's so many automations with Iott and it is not just even for business,

Speaker:

you can even use it to create automations around the house, like for automatically

Speaker:

having your lights turn on at a certain time and so many different things.

Speaker:

So I'm going to link it, definitely check it out, create an account, try to create

Speaker:

some what we call trigger automations and.

Speaker:

All right, we're going to go to number nine.

Speaker:

And this is another one of my favorites.

Speaker:

Zapier Zapier is in my eyes.

Speaker:

It's very similar to IFT T team.

Speaker:

And it's one of my favorite tools that allows you to connect the

Speaker:

apps that you use every day, and then automate those tasks.

Speaker:

And.

Speaker:

And automate those particular tasks and there's over 1500 apps that you

Speaker:

can pick from to create automations.

Speaker:

so that is huge.

Speaker:

That's amazing.

Speaker:

So there's so much you can do with Zapier.

Speaker:

sometimes you just have to.

Speaker:

Turn everything else off and geek out on this stuff.

Speaker:

Because if you spend a little bit time to create these type of automations and

Speaker:

all of these formulas, if this happens, you want this to happen automatically.

Speaker:

You're going to end up being so productive.

Speaker:

And when 2022 around the corner, like this is how you need to think.

Speaker:

You need to be strategic.

Speaker:

You need to think how you can get more done in less time, how you can leverage

Speaker:

what you have, the resources, the tools.

Speaker:

To create more content, right.

Speaker:

And also to be more efficient, to be more productive.

Speaker:

So that's why I wanted to share all of these tools with you today, because I

Speaker:

think it's a great way to start using these and you will be blown away by

Speaker:

all the things that you guys can do.

Speaker:

All right.

Speaker:

So number 10.

Speaker:

Is one of my favorite Chrome browser extensions.

Speaker:

And if you guys don't use the Chrome browser, definitely use

Speaker:

Chrome because Chrome has so many advantages and benefits.

Speaker:

And one of the things I love about Chrome is their app store.

Speaker:

They have their own app store.

Speaker:

So literally you can find an app for anything.

Speaker:

And you know, the, the apps, as far as I know, like are free or at

Speaker:

least the ones I chose are free.

Speaker:

And there's one.

Speaker:

Called the Chrome eyedropper extension.

Speaker:

And I love it.

Speaker:

And what it does is this.

Speaker:

So if you have this extension downloaded to your computer, What happens is

Speaker:

if you're on a website and you're looking at the colors of a particular

Speaker:

photo on that website, our logo or anything, and you're thinking to

Speaker:

yourself, oh my God, I love this color.

Speaker:

I want this exact shade of red for my next logo.

Speaker:

I want this exact shade of blue and you can.

Speaker:

Open up this eyedropper and you can hover over a particular photo and

Speaker:

it will give you the color codes to that photo are the other cool thing

Speaker:

is you can actually put any URL.

Speaker:

And then it's going to allow you to pick up the colors from that website.

Speaker:

And you can just write them down.

Speaker:

You can give them to your graphic designer, or you can go into Campbell.

Speaker:

Like I said before, one of the tools I mentioned Canva, you can go and you can.

Speaker:

Create any type of graphics that you want and you can, you know, have your

Speaker:

own branded colors that you want to use.

Speaker:

So you guys definitely go and check out all these tools are

Speaker:

going to be in the show notes.

Speaker:

I encourage you to download them, set up accounts and play around

Speaker:

with them during the holidays.

Speaker:

If you get any downtime because 2022 is around the corner.

Speaker:

And don't wait until January 2nd to be like, oh, this is what

Speaker:

I'm going to do for this year.

Speaker:

Think about your marketing plan now and your strategy.

Speaker:

And if you need help developing a detailed marketing strategy for 2022 and getting

Speaker:

it implemented, reach out to me, I'm going to be putting a link in the show notes

anything I can help you with.

Speaker:

When it comes to developing a marketing strategy for your business,

Speaker:

that's going to help you take your business to the next level.

Speaker:

Next year and beyond.

Speaker:

All right.

Speaker:

You guys, if I don't see you before Christmas, I might do a

Speaker:

special episode, but in case I don't need to celebrate Christmas.

Speaker:

I wanted to wish you a very Merry Christmas.

Speaker:

And I hope that you have an amazing time with family and friends and do all

Speaker:

things joyful and, And just spread some love into the world because the holidays

Speaker:

are not the happiest time for everyone.

Speaker:

There's a lot of people that lost their family members, you

Speaker:

know, and a lot of people lost family members also due to COVID.

Speaker:

So things are just a little bit awkward right now.

Speaker:

And I think that if you know that there's some people.

Speaker:

That are alone, reach out to them because they will appreciate that.

Speaker:

And, go have fun.

Speaker:

Go take some time off for yourself.

Speaker:

Go just relax for a day to just do nothing.

Speaker:

It doesn't always have to be hustle and bustle.

Speaker:

Sometimes you need to recharge your batteries.

Speaker:

And when you recharge your battery, Guess what you're going to be able to go a whole

Speaker:

lot faster instead of sluggishly going on little batteries and then it doesn't work.

Speaker:

Right.

Speaker:

All right.

Speaker:

I love you

Speaker:

guys.

Speaker:
