Hello. There are beautiful souls. Welcome back.

I am Kim Parkinson, and this is Podcasting for Spiritual Women. Today is episode two, and we Well, we made it, we made it past the hardest part, that first one, right? That one is always the one that scares people the most. That's the one where you got all those nervous jitters and, and all of that, and you're just trying to get it out, and you're just trying to make it through the first =one==, because once you get to that, then you can really dive in and really get to know what you're, you're doing, right?

So you've already worked out the kinks, or maybe you're gonna have more kinks, because let's face it, we haven't done a interview episode yet, so that may be the second hardest one. But right now I'm focused on just bringing you a bunch of short, actionable. Episodes that are going to just really nail it down on different pieces of podcasting and what you can do to use podcasting to grow your business and to grow your wealth.

Right? That's, that's kind of what it's all about, right? Just bringing that knowledge, that wisdom, that. Everything that we have in our heads from years of living, of years of doing our soul work and bringing that to the airwaves so that people know us, people like us, and people trust us, and then people wanna work with us, right?

that's actually what the heart of this episode's about. This episode is. Why spiritual women do need a podcast, let's just look at the facts here. you have a higher calling, you have something that needs to be said. You have something that you need to teach, something that you need to guide, something that you need to bring light to, however that might be.

And. Let's face it, a lot of you probably are maybe doing some singing on your own. You're using your voice in magical, potent ways, and why are you not delivering that in the form of podcasting? Or maybe you are and you're just like, people aren't hearing me. So yeah. First of all, let's just talk about sharing, right?

Let's talk about women. are sharers. They're nurturers. They're sharers. They love to guide and uplift each other. Well, most of them, but most of us want to guide and uplift each other. many of us probably avoid all the social media, right? It's draining, you know, the content grind of like having to create, you know, three or four reels a day.

Like who has time for that? We have lives, we are most likely women that have children, right? We have spouses or significant others, or maybe we're doing this on our own and we're just trying to make it out in the world. So we don't really have that time to be doing the vlogging. That's huge. Still.

Even though they don't call it vlogging anymore, they're actually just calling vlogging podcasting. But it's really, if you're doing it in a video form and spending hours editing and maybe have a team that is, that is vlogging, that is really a lot of work. So that's definitely something that can be scary and can put you off this whole podcasting adventure.

And then what's gonna end up happening is when you. Show people your way, show people what you know, teach people, teach others, then we don't end up really. Guiding them the way we want to because it wasn't aligned with us. We were really feeling pulled because, oh, that, you know, my hair didn't look good, or I didn't have makeup on that day, or you know, whatever it is.

Podcasting, just having your voice out there in their ears, in their heads and really telling them what you're about. It's got a healing frequency, right. It just really carries that. You get to know me, you get to love me. You get to really have a deeper and more intimate conversation with your community through podcasting.

It's just a energetic spaciousness, right? It's a, it is a long form. Let's just talk about that. It is evergreen. It's gonna be out there as long as you pay your invoice to whoever it is that you're using as hosting, gonna be out there for a long time. And anybody's gonna be able to listen. And sometimes that is scary too.

But deep down inside, you know what you need to say. You know what you need to feel and bring forth to guide people into their next era, into their next. Way of living into a better world, right? That's what we're looking for. We're looking for this better world. We're looking for this better place to live.

And let's face it as the nurturers, as the ones that guide and love and bring all that light to people. the ones that they're gonna be looking at. We're the ones that they're going to be looking for. to help guide them, and that's important. So I really feel that podcasting is so very aligned for healers, for lightworkers, for priestesses, for spiritual coaches, Because really this is going to allow you to teach, allow you to guide, and allow you to inspire and of course, build your trust. Those people are going to be listening to whatever your topics are on weekly basis, and they're gonna say, I am really like her. I really like what she has to say, and I get it.

I get why. Uh, people wanna work with her because she just has this calming nature, or she has the knowledge or she's lived through that, and I really need somebody like that. Whatever the little piece of magic is that you bring, whatever wand you are wielding, you're going to tell people about that, and that's going to be what brings them to you.

So that, that is the superpower of our voice really. That is the, you know, we could have, we could have a cape of our own if you want, but this is our superpower. This is the, the power of showing our own emotions through voice showing how we care. Through voice, showing our wisdom through voice. And I say showing because really, you know, have you ever read a book and you can actually visualize the characters?

This is the same. Now, a lot of times people can go and find your picture so they know who you are and that's the point too, right? Hopefully they feel your. Soothing effects. Hopefully they feel your profound exclamations and they say, I wanna know more about that person. They go to your website and then they maybe book that one-on-one, or maybe they get into your course, or maybe they get your freebie, I don't know.

Whatever it is that you might be offering. And that's the first step, right? First step to the next step, your podcast, the first step, the next step is whatever that is, freebie. Working with you, going to your website, following you on social media, even though you're only posting once every blue moon and Yeah.

And here's the other thing about the social media point, This is crazy. You start a podcast and then you automatically have content for your social media and for your newsletter. So really the podcast, what you have to say is gonna just be more and more and more honed in, more nailed by all of the.

Extra content that you could, could produce to go along with it. So those days where you're like, I don't know what to post on my social media, well go back Rob one of those episodes and, and, and let's, uh, let's make a reel out of that or a carousel or whatever it is that you might wanna do. But I think it's a great way to also get in front of your social media.

Just they kind of like work hand in hand and. In my case, I really have struggled with social media and, and we'll talk about this in future episodes too, but I really have struggled with it and having the podcast kind of be that gateway to like open up that next step. I think it's, I think it's gonna be a good thing.

So we'll see. It's an experiment here. I'm, I'm like your Guinea pig, so I'm, I'm just experimenting and seeing how I work on this and so we'll, we'll do it together. I also wanna just mention a couple of common myths that you might have as a spiritual woman that's holding you back from maybe having a podcast.

Right. And this is me, right? I am, I am talking the talk. I'm walking the walk with you because. If you saw me right now, I don't have my hair done. It's up in a bun. I'm sitting in my office and I'm wondering, uh, what am I doing? Can I do this? Yes, I can. Right? Do I have enough to say? Yes? I have written loads and loads of stuff to say.

It's just now getting it out and keeping those thoughts on track, right? One, one thought. One track per episode because that just means you're gonna have more episodes, even if you have more than one. But, uh, keeping them short and sweet. Short and sweet too, right? Keeping those short and sweet. So that they are actionable.

And then, you know, another thing I hear people say is, the market is too crowded. You know, I can't, because so-and-so's got a podcast and so-and-so's got a podcast. But let me ask you a question about so-and-so, whoever that might be. Are they talking about what you know? Are they in your head? Do they have your years of wisdom, your years of knowledge, your modality of teaching?

Of bringing, of showing? Because let me tell you, there is a lot of other podcasts out there on podcasting. And actually I'm only just starting this particular podcast after getting a very slight nudge from my coach who teaches podcasting and has a podcast on podcasting and teaches is my growth coach.

He's the one that taught me how to be a podcast growth coach, and his nudge was, Hey, would you like to be your very first client? And that way you can really show up for your other clients, right? So be your first client, show people what you're doing and explain to them the things that you really can do.

And that's exactly what I'm doing. And so whoever's so-and-so is that has another podcast about whatever it is that you wanna talk about. They don't have all the same wisdom, knowledge, modalities, all those things. I said they don't have all of those years to fall back on. Yeah, sure. Maybe they had a similar life, maybe they talk about similar things, but I guarantee you, you have a different take on it.

And so. That is super important because that's gonna really be what nails down that niche that really nails down your truly defined ideal client avatar because those people that are going to listen and are going to love you are going to be the ones, the ones that come back every week for more episodes.

The ones that. Email you every week and say, love this episode, or the ones that just continuously, are liking all of your stuff. Those are the ones that are gonna be your ideal client avatar, because you honed in your message, you gave it to them in your podcast, you basically weed out all those people that.

That you didn't want, and the people that you do want are your true fans, are the ones that keep coming back, are the ones that are responding, are the ones that are liking, are the ones that are subscribing, are the ones that are doing all those things. Getting your resources, getting to your website, liking your social media.

Those are the ones you're speaking to, and all the rest that so and so may have or so and so may have. Those ones aren't your ideal clients because when you talk and they were like, I don't, I don't think so. That's okay because you weren't talking to the people that really you want to be in your sphere of your world.

so. Another one, and this one's so easy. Like a lot of people say it's too techy. It's, you know, a lot of people say, I don't know. I have to sit in my office. I have to really plan it. Do you really have to? Now I Yes, am in my office. Yes, I am in front of a computer. Yes, I am recording on a microphone, and we will talk about all of that in a later episode as well.

All the techie stuff. But I actually have a client and she actually used to just record on her phone in her car, because a car is already soundproof or sound dampening, depending on your car, I guess, you know, and your phone records really well. So do you have to, okay, turn the Bluetooth off on your phone.

Don't have it record through that. Just direct to your phone would be fine, but do you have to have all those extra steps? Maybe not. Especially not to get started. If that's what's holding you back from getting started and sharing your wisdom and bringing in more clients, then. There's really no barrier to that because I know you have a phone, let's face it.

I think you already have everything in your heart on how you're gonna get started, your wisdom, your voice, your phone if you need it, or maybe your microphone if you decide that that's what you're gonna do. So if you are ready to get started. And you, or maybe you have started and you're just like, I don't know, it's not growing.

I invite you to schedule a podcast Growth Clarity call. The link to that is in the show notes. And if you're feeling the nudge to share your voice, but you just don't know where to start, I'm here to just uplift you and hopefully bring some clarity and that Clarity calls free. And it's only 20 minutes.

So if you are like, you know what? I just need somebody to kind of like help me out here. Go ahead and book that and then we'll get started. And maybe, maybe you just need a little bit of a, a gentle nudge and, me to share with you the next episode or maybe you have a question that I can share on an episode.

That would be amazing too, right? So. You can do it. I've done it, or I have started it, and if I can do it, you can do it too I cannot wait to share this journey with you and to hopefully bring your wisdom and your knowledge and your voice out to the world.

Until next time, love. I will talk to you soon. Thanks so much. Bye-bye.
