Trey Gerrald:

the shadows going back

Chelsey Donn:

Trey Gerrald:

How are you?

Trey Gerrald:

How are you post Thanksgiving?

Trey Gerrald:

How is your life?

Trey Gerrald:

What's going on here?

Trey Gerrald:

We

Chelsey Donn:

Practically stuffed Trey.

Trey Gerrald:

practically stuffed Trey

Chelsey Donn:

It's like you think you need stuffing and you do need stuffing, but then

Trey Gerrald:

What's the weather like in Los Angeles?

Trey Gerrald:

Does it get, like, do, do leaves, change colors?

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah, we get some changing of leaves.

Chelsey Donn:

Everyone's sort of surprised that we have A' winter here for the past couple of years.

Chelsey Donn:

My parents actually traveled this way for like Thanksgiving, Christmas time,

Chelsey Donn:

And I'm like, yeah, well, it's freezing at home.

Chelsey Donn:

It's just, you don't expect it to be chilly here at all.

Chelsey Donn:

And also, Necessarily dress appropriately like 'I feel like in New York, 'I was

Chelsey Donn:

But that being said, 'I was warm.

Chelsey Donn:

And here you tend to dress like it's summer and it's not that warm.

Chelsey Donn:

So it's chilly.

Chelsey Donn:

But 'I can't complain because 'I know it's chillier where you are in New Jersey.

Trey Gerrald:

Well, that's the whole thing too with Key West 'I know that

Trey Gerrald:

It gets like very high, fifties and sixties, but it feels extra cold because your blood is thinner.

Trey Gerrald:

So like, You're so used to the heat.

Trey Gerrald:

Yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

Good point.

Chelsey Donn:

Very, very true.

Trey Gerrald:

Well we've been very kind to weather, so why don't we do something

VOICEOVER:

Lodge, A, Complaint.

Chelsey Donn:

Yes, I've been waiting for this all week, 'I.

Chelsey Donn:

Gotta be honest.

Trey Gerrald:

do it.

Trey Gerrald:

Diva 'I wanna hear?

Chelsey Donn:

Okay.

Chelsey Donn:

'I won.

Chelsey Donn:

A', Lodge, A, Complaint.

Chelsey Donn:

So 'I was driving the other day.

Chelsey Donn:

'I like to listen to playlists on Spotify, okay?

Chelsey Donn:

And all of A' sudden A' song came on and it had A' siren sound in the song.

Chelsey Donn:

Okay, and this happens sometimes and 'I don't know why we're doing this.

Chelsey Donn:

It like nearly gave me A' heart attack.

Chelsey Donn:

'I thought 'I was being, God forbid, pulled over.

Chelsey Donn:

'I was like, where is the siren coming from?

Chelsey Donn:

It was completely unnecessary In the song that there be A' Siren, it wasn't like A'.

Chelsey Donn:

It was called 'I Don't Know, sirens of Love or something.

Chelsey Donn:

There were, there was like no reason for there to be A' Siren.

Chelsey Donn:

They just decided to mix A' Siren in with the other sounds in the song.

Chelsey Donn:

And we know that people are listening to songs when they're driving.

Chelsey Donn:

Why are we doing this?

Chelsey Donn:

'I have way too much anxiety.

Chelsey Donn:

'I have enough anxiety on the road.

Chelsey Donn:

'I don't need any sounds in songs that are gonna throw me off of my journey.

Trey Gerrald:

Now.

Chelsey Donn:

have you, you haven't experienced this 'I don't think as much as 'I have,

Trey Gerrald:

'I don't know, but 'I 'I, it does occur to me if 'I was A'

Trey Gerrald:

You know, people listen to music in the car.

Trey Gerrald:

So the most annoying thing would be like A' Cop Siren or A' Fire Department.

Trey Gerrald:

Siren.

Chelsey Donn:

Right.

Chelsey Donn:

Where you're like, oh God, 'I, 'I, 'I.

Chelsey Donn:

Gotta do something.

Chelsey Donn:

'I have to pull over, 'I have to whatever.

Chelsey Donn:

And then you're like, oh no, that's just like randomly mixed in there.

Trey Gerrald:

yeah, 'I feel like that's definitely like they knew what they were doing.

Chelsey Donn:

they knew exactly what they were doing.

Trey Gerrald:

So do we think that's funny or do we think that that's

Chelsey Donn:

Oh no.

Chelsey Donn:

Oh, I'm lodging A'.

Chelsey Donn:

Complaint.

Chelsey Donn:

'I.

Chelsey Donn:

Don't think it's funny at all.

Chelsey Donn:

Completely threw me for my game.

Trey Gerrald:

think abstractly.

Trey Gerrald:

It's funny, but 'I, if 'I was living through that, it would bother me.

Trey Gerrald:

But my question is, does it only get you once or do you think like you're gonna fall for it again?

Chelsey Donn:

Oh, 'I.

Chelsey Donn:

Think I'll probably fall for it again.

Chelsey Donn:

'I mean, maybe if it was like , maybe if it was like, you know, Y M C A' or

Chelsey Donn:

If there was something that like 'I heard all the time, then maybe it wouldn't throw me.

Chelsey Donn:

But you know, these playlists that 'I listened to, they tend to be like hot 100 or whatever the heck.

Chelsey Donn:

And so I'm sure it'll get me again.

Trey Gerrald:

no, 'I Get it.

Trey Gerrald:

And 'I, I'm 'I.

Trey Gerrald:

Do acknowledge that that is frustrating.

Trey Gerrald:

I'm wondering, devil's advocate, 'I, wonder if it's contributing to people slowing down.

Trey Gerrald:

'I.

Trey Gerrald:

Wonder if like it catches people and their speeding because 'I don't know if you

Trey Gerrald:

'I automatically, my instinct is to take my foot off the gas.

Trey Gerrald:

Does that happen to you,

Chelsey Donn:

Yes.

Chelsey Donn:

Like must stop moving.

Chelsey Donn:

Well, yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

Cause you're like, even 'I mean, hopefully it's not you, but if it's not you, then it means

Chelsey Donn:

So my instinct as

Trey Gerrald:

Yeah.

Trey Gerrald:

'I.

Trey Gerrald:

Hear you 'I.

Trey Gerrald:

Don't want to hear that in A' song.

Trey Gerrald:

That's

Chelsey Donn:

No thank you.

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah, do better.

Chelsey Donn:

So that's my Complaint for the day.

Chelsey Donn:

When 'I was driving, 'I was like, Ugh.

Chelsey Donn:

A' new Complaint.

Chelsey Donn:

'I was like first really upset and then very excited that 'I had

Chelsey Donn:

So, Trey 'I know you've gotta dig deep these days because we've complained about so many things

Trey Gerrald:

Well, you just gave me another one, so I'm adding it to

Chelsey Donn:

so Oh,

Trey Gerrald:

So consider that A' Deep tease.

Trey Gerrald:

And 'I have one written on my paper I'm not gonna do because 'I have to just do this one cuz 'I

Trey Gerrald:

But I'm gonna talk about

Chelsey Donn:

and here we

Trey Gerrald:

'I know I'm gonna complain about this, uh, feeling of embarrassment

Trey Gerrald:

'I won so much money on the Wheel of Fortune machine and it was.

Trey Gerrald:

You know, going nuts and 'I took A' video and 'I didn't know that

Chelsey Donn:

yeah, that's A'.

Chelsey Donn:

No-no.

Chelsey Donn:

My mom's done it before, but

Trey Gerrald:

Well, 'I didn't know, and 'I saw people taking videos.

Trey Gerrald:

So 'I, you know, like 'I took A' video and,

Chelsey Donn:

Well, of course you wanna take A' video and it's like ding ding.

Chelsey Donn:

It's like going crazy.

Trey Gerrald:

Yes.

Trey Gerrald:

And it's like spitting out the, like whatever.

Trey Gerrald:

So this lady walked by and she was like, sir.

Trey Gerrald:

And 'I was like, you know, yeah.

Trey Gerrald:

And she was like, oh, do you work?

Trey Gerrald:

And 'I was like, no.

Trey Gerrald:

And she was like, oh, you can't take A' video.

Trey Gerrald:

And 'I was like, oh, oh, I'm so sorry.

Trey Gerrald:

'I really didn't know.

Chelsey Donn:

But if you worked there, you could, you could

Trey Gerrald:

'I don't know.

Trey Gerrald:

'I also don't know why.

Trey Gerrald:

She assumed 'I worked there.

Trey Gerrald:

'I was in A' button down, but.

Trey Gerrald:

don't know, but like I'm mentioning it because it was like A' severe form of true embarrassment

Trey Gerrald:

Is she

Chelsey Donn:

or they, they can take away my money

Trey Gerrald:

yes, literally.

Trey Gerrald:

And then when she like, and the look she gave me was like, no.

Trey Gerrald:

Like, no, you can't take it.

Chelsey Donn:

But also if you did work there, you wouldn't be able to gamble there.

Chelsey Donn:

So like

Trey Gerrald:

Well, 'I don't know why.

Trey Gerrald:

'I don't know.

Trey Gerrald:

Separate of her asking me if 'I worked there.

Trey Gerrald:

Like there aren't plaques that say, do not take video.

Trey Gerrald:

Like I'm hearing that people that attend casinos know that 'I didn't know that.

Trey Gerrald:

And you know, 'I only found out from doing it wrong.

Chelsey Donn:

'I know that because 'I think 'I was probably caught.

Chelsey Donn:

You know what 'I mean?

Chelsey Donn:

Like 'I.

Chelsey Donn:

Don't think 'I was just born knowing this 'I.

Chelsey Donn:

Think like 'I won and 'I wanted to record the like, you know, like the whole like show

Trey Gerrald:

Well, that's what 'I was doing.

Trey Gerrald:

And then when she left, 'I was sort of left with who's around me, did people see me get admonished?

Trey Gerrald:

And then 'I was like left with embarrassment and 'I was like, when this finishes, I'm gonna

Trey Gerrald:

Cause 'I was so embarrassed, embarrassment, humiliation.

Trey Gerrald:

'I was degraded.

Trey Gerrald:

It was really embarrassing and 'I don't like that feeling, so I'm lodging Complaint against the

Chelsey Donn:

Isn't it funny cuz it's like you're telling me the story and I'm

Chelsey Donn:

Like nobody was like even thinking about you, but then when you're in the moment

Trey Gerrald:

was so embarrassing.

Chelsey Donn:

it's like horrible.

Chelsey Donn:

You

Trey Gerrald:

'I was like, my face was plushing.

Chelsey Donn:

'I know, oh my god, I've been there.

Chelsey Donn:

'I hate that feeling.

Chelsey Donn:

'I feel for you, but I'm still happy that you.

Trey Gerrald:

Thank you,

Chelsey Donn:

Yes.

Chelsey Donn:

Even A' week later, we could still celebrate your win.

Trey Gerrald:

Thank you.

Trey Gerrald:

I'm gonna mention this every week.

Chelsey Donn:

Exactly.

Chelsey Donn:

Trey went to the Bogata once.

Trey Gerrald:

Did you guys know that 'I went to the workout?

Chelsey Donn:

know that?

Chelsey Donn:

Oh my God.

Chelsey Donn:

'I.

Chelsey Donn:

Love it.

Trey Gerrald:

So that's my Complaint.

Trey Gerrald:

There we go.

Trey Gerrald:

All right, well, should we jump in?

Trey Gerrald:

Should we do the title?

Chelsey Donn:

Let's do it.

Trey Gerrald:

Woo.

VOICEOVER:

Review, That, Review.

Chelsey Donn:

As you know, we are your trustee.

Chelsey Donn:

Review Queens.

Chelsey Donn:

We bring in reviews from the internet that we feel need to be inspected.

Trey Gerrald:

We read you A' review, break it down and rate the impact of the review

Trey Gerrald:

It's A', very regal process that we like to call.

VOICEOVER:

Assess, That, Kvetch.

Chelsey Donn:

That's true.

Chelsey Donn:

All right, Trey, it's your turn.

Chelsey Donn:

So what are you serving up for us this evening?

Trey Gerrald:

I'm just looking at the text you.

Chelsey Donn:

'I know 'I was like, in case you didn't believe me, 'I sent Trey, A' text of

Chelsey Donn:

And I'm blind for the first 10 minutes of the show and this dog is just staring into the light.

Chelsey Donn:

So it's can't be.

Trey Gerrald:

Oh, Goldy.

Chelsey Donn:

Gold.

Chelsey Donn:

Hey.

Trey Gerrald:

Her retinas are gonna be Goldy.

Chelsey Donn:

Exactly.

Chelsey Donn:

God.

Chelsey Donn:

Anyway.

Trey Gerrald:

um, anyway, to answer your question, so today I'm very excited.

Trey Gerrald:

Listeners, 'I Am bringing in A' submission from someone that 'I work with, who when 'I shared

Trey Gerrald:

She was instantly like, Oh my God.

Trey Gerrald:

'I have A' review for you.

Trey Gerrald:

And 'I was like, oh good.

Trey Gerrald:

And, and she was like, I'm sending it to you now.

Trey Gerrald:

So this was that readily available to this person in my place of employment.

Trey Gerrald:

So here we go.

Trey Gerrald:

Today I'm gonna be sharing A' one star review from.

Trey Gerrald:

Google for A' restaurant called The Huddle Kitchen and Bar in Bolton Landing, New York.

Chelsey Donn:

right.

Chelsey Donn:

Let's hear it.

Trey Gerrald:

And this review was written by someone named Giga.

Trey Gerrald:

G 'I.

Trey Gerrald:

G A'.

Trey Gerrald:

Last name is Larf, L A', R f.

Chelsey Donn:

Gig.

Chelsey Donn:

A'.

Trey Gerrald:

G A'.

Trey Gerrald:

So 'I, don't know if there's some meaning there or there's something we can, um,

Chelsey Donn:

Okay.

Trey Gerrald:

And then 'I wanted to just tell you the profile picture is really hard to decipher.

Trey Gerrald:

Like 'I.

Trey Gerrald:

At first 'I thought it was, um, oh, it's donkey from Shrek 'I.

Trey Gerrald:

Thought it was Thomas the train engine, but it's donkey from Shrek all.

Chelsey Donn:

Okay.

Trey Gerrald:

Okay, so here we go.

Trey Gerrald:

This is this one star Google Review for the Huddle Kitchen A' Bar, written by 'I A'.

Trey Gerrald:

This restaurant was so bad.

Trey Gerrald:

The all caps sad and all caps chubby,

Chelsey Donn:

What?

Trey Gerrald:

quote unquote way.

Trey Gerrald:

Tez spelled w e 'I, G H T E R.

Chelsey Donn:

Oh God.

Trey Gerrald:

Took forever to serve us bad food.

Trey Gerrald:

'I Caps know you see this Review and 'I will never come back to this God awful restaurant.

Trey Gerrald:

Additionally to taking one and A' half hours to give us all caps, bad food.

Trey Gerrald:

They forgot our napkins.

Trey Gerrald:

Silverware, and much.

Trey Gerrald:

They also charge A' 20% tip when they deserved caps.

Trey Gerrald:

No tip.

Chelsey Donn:

Ugh.

Trey Gerrald:

The price for four people was A'.

Trey Gerrald:

Hundred and $22.

Trey Gerrald:

Exclamation mark.

Trey Gerrald:

You have no choice but to pay the caps.

Trey Gerrald:

Forced tip for bad service place should be shut down.

Trey Gerrald:

'I am putting up signs in town telling people not to come here and

Chelsey Donn:

Oh my God.

Trey Gerrald:

to go to the pizza place across the street.

VOICEOVER:

Mm.

Chelsey Donn:

What the heck?

Trey Gerrald:

'I

Chelsey Donn:

so mad at Gig A'.

Chelsey Donn:

'I had like high hopes for them because they had A'.

Chelsey Donn:

Somewhat creative name, though 'I don't know what it means.

Trey Gerrald:

don't know what Giger means either.

Chelsey Donn:

Okay.

Chelsey Donn:

What kind of restaurant is this?

Trey Gerrald:

The huddle, kitchen and bar.

Chelsey Donn:

'I?

Chelsey Donn:

Assume

Trey Gerrald:

Yeah.

Trey Gerrald:

It's like American.

Trey Gerrald:

It's like all American food.

Chelsey Donn:

Does it seem like ca

Trey Gerrald:

Yes.

Trey Gerrald:

And it's like cute.

Chelsey Donn:

casual.

Chelsey Donn:

It's cute.

Trey Gerrald:

It's like surf and turf, small plates like burgers, French dip.

Trey Gerrald:

It's like very cute.

Chelsey Donn:

now quick math, right?

Chelsey Donn:

A'.

Chelsey Donn:

Hundred and 22, 4 people we're talking 30 bucks.

Chelsey Donn:

A' person for like A' sit down meal.

Chelsey Donn:

That doesn't seem bad to me.

Chelsey Donn:

'I mean

Trey Gerrald:

No.

Trey Gerrald:

Uh,

Chelsey Donn:

not bougie, but I'm thinking.

Chelsey Donn:

You gotta figure an entree's gonna be at least in the $20 A', high twenties range, right?

Chelsey Donn:

With tax.

Chelsey Donn:

$30 is like very easy to achieve anywhere.

Trey Gerrald:

Yes.

Trey Gerrald:

'I.

Trey Gerrald:

Don't think that A'.

Trey Gerrald:

Hundred $22 for four people.

Trey Gerrald:

'I don't.

Trey Gerrald:

'I don't.

Trey Gerrald:

That doesn't

Chelsey Donn:

'I mean what?

Chelsey Donn:

What is it that we expect?

Chelsey Donn:

And also why is A' Pizza Place and this like Bar American restaurant,

Chelsey Donn:

There's just like no.

Trey Gerrald:

Interesting.

Chelsey Donn:

there's no comparison.

Chelsey Donn:

It's like, do 'I want pizza or 'I?

Chelsey Donn:

Do 'I wanna like sit in A'?

Chelsey Donn:

Cute bar environment.

Chelsey Donn:

'I mean.

Chelsey Donn:

Obviously you knew this when you brought in this review, but Gig A' lost me

Trey Gerrald:

'I

Chelsey Donn:

F you 'I can't with you Also like it just reinforcing so many

Trey Gerrald:

No.

Trey Gerrald:

Get on it.

Chelsey Donn:

'I.

Chelsey Donn:

'I hate how people are discriminating against fat people, especially when it has

Chelsey Donn:

Like screw them.

Chelsey Donn:

Let's go get pizza.

Chelsey Donn:

Okay.

Chelsey Donn:

You have A' fast metabolism.

Chelsey Donn:

You're not like inherently better than any of these people that are working

Chelsey Donn:

Okay?

Chelsey Donn:

That's just what their bodies look like.

Chelsey Donn:

If they happen to even be large 'I.

Chelsey Donn:

Don't know if 'I can trust you, but regardless, Trey, you know, you've waited tables before.

Chelsey Donn:

It's A'.

Chelsey Donn:

Lot of work.

Chelsey Donn:

You're like hustling.

Chelsey Donn:

You're running around, you're doing A' lot.

Chelsey Donn:

If you're gonna sit there on your.

Chelsey Donn:

Like eating and comment on other people's weight.

Chelsey Donn:

I'm sorry, but there's something wrong with you.

Chelsey Donn:

You don't, you don't have any sort of value over anyone else just because your body is

Chelsey Donn:

You don't know.

Chelsey Donn:

There's so many things that can go on in A' restaurant that can cause things to be slow.

Chelsey Donn:

Maybe you were rude.

Chelsey Donn:

Maybe you called them chubby.

Chelsey Donn:

Maybe you like said something nasty.

Chelsey Donn:

Waiter and they didn't wanna like deal with you.

Chelsey Donn:

'I, mean 'I.

Chelsey Donn:

Find that to be A', perfectly viable explanation for what happened,

Trey Gerrald:

Well, 'I think that this conversation.

Trey Gerrald:

Is exactly why.

Trey Gerrald:

There's just no point to that being in the review.

Trey Gerrald:

It has nothing to do like the synopsis.

Trey Gerrald:

What 'I get from this review is that they thought the food was bad and that it was

Trey Gerrald:

So what is the like the weight has nothing to do

Chelsey Donn:

What is the way it have to do with any of that?

Chelsey Donn:

You're implying that the, that the reason that the service was slow was because the

Trey Gerrald:

Right, but 'I also don't know that that has anything to do with

Trey Gerrald:

Also, they say and much more, uh, define that.

Trey Gerrald:

What does that

Chelsey Donn:

much more,

Trey Gerrald:

'I also wanna say, 'I think that from like, it's the second sentence

Trey Gerrald:

Like I'm instantly not on your side reading this review.

Trey Gerrald:

like it instantly makes me think you're mean.

Chelsey Donn:

you are mean.

Chelsey Donn:

You're mean.

Chelsey Donn:

You're like leading this entire, and you've never written A' review before,

Trey Gerrald:

and your picture is donkey like 'I.

Chelsey Donn:

is A' donkey.

Chelsey Donn:

You're A' donkey, frankly.

Trey Gerrald:

well, yeah.

Trey Gerrald:

An ass, but.

Trey Gerrald:

'I don't know if this is occurring for you, but it does make like 'I feel like there's

Chelsey Donn:

And also, why do you know they're gonna see this review?

Trey Gerrald:

Exactly.

Trey Gerrald:

And why are they talking about this place across the street, which you pointed out as A'.

Trey Gerrald:

Different menu

Chelsey Donn:

A'.

Chelsey Donn:

Totally different menu, totally different restaurant.

Chelsey Donn:

Like, why are you going on here and recommending A' Pizza Place to someone that wants to

Chelsey Donn:

Go ahead and go to the pizza place if that's what you want.

Trey Gerrald:

We don't know anything about the pizza place, but like looking at the menu for

Trey Gerrald:

Completely different

Chelsey Donn:

Right.

Chelsey Donn:

That's why 'I was asking what kind of food they had.

Chelsey Donn:

Cuz it's like if, if they ordered pizza from this place and then they're like, Ugh, 'I

Chelsey Donn:

Well then maybe 'I would hear that.

Chelsey Donn:

But that wasn't the point that was being made that that point wasn't being made anywhere.

Trey Gerrald:

and they're consistently talking about bad food and it took an hour

Trey Gerrald:

Like it's this thing we talk about on the show A' lot, where it's like 'I feel like

Trey Gerrald:

Like, are you getting A' roll up?

Trey Gerrald:

Or is this A' place where it's like, The napkins and then they give you some, like

Trey Gerrald:

So then what is the, and much more makes me think they're just like,

Trey Gerrald:

And then this whole conversation, which we talked about, like the price point.

Trey Gerrald:

Okay.

Trey Gerrald:

But let's break that down because 'I do sort of like, I'm curious, anytime there is A', um,

Trey Gerrald:

Generally you see auto grad added for larger parties.

Trey Gerrald:

'I

Chelsey Donn:

Sure.

Chelsey Donn:

Like A' party of eight

Trey Gerrald:

right?

Trey Gerrald:

So I'm curious, 'I wanna know A' little bit more there?

Chelsey Donn:

I'd say, okay.

Chelsey Donn:

That's the only value maybe.

Trey Gerrald:

Sure.

Trey Gerrald:

Yes.

Trey Gerrald:

Cuz 'I could read this and be like, oh there's gonna be an automatic gratuity.

Trey Gerrald:

'I Wonder if they were such jerks that they auto-graded them cuz they knew

Chelsey Donn:

'I did.

Chelsey Donn:

That thought did cross my mind.

Chelsey Donn:

Like maybe they were just such assholes that they were like, and

Chelsey Donn:

A' tip.

Chelsey Donn:

Cause for me, and we've talked about this before too, 'I, I've had bad service before.

Chelsey Donn:

'I.

Chelsey Donn:

Think we've all had bad service.

Chelsey Donn:

'I don't think I've ever left.

Chelsey Donn:

No tip.

Trey Gerrald:

'I know that like, uh, 'I

Chelsey Donn:

To me, A' punishment is like 18% because 'I like understand

Chelsey Donn:

So I'm always A' very high tipper cuz 'I know that it's A' really hard job and

Chelsey Donn:

So 'I, 'I have A' certain amount of respect for it.

Chelsey Donn:

So 20% is like A' minimum for me.

Chelsey Donn:

And there's just like, there's not enough information in terms of what went wrong.

Trey Gerrald:

That's what 'I wanna say is like you're saying, this restaurant

Trey Gerrald:

It took A' really long time to give us bad food.

Trey Gerrald:

We had to pay A' tip.

Trey Gerrald:

They did not deserve, you're forced.

Trey Gerrald:

It should be shut down.

Trey Gerrald:

Like, but they aren't, there's not like any substance.

Trey Gerrald:

It's just like ranting

Chelsey Donn:

bad?

Chelsey Donn:

If 'I was this person's, if 'I was gig's teacher 'I would say, try again.

Trey Gerrald:

need supporting

Chelsey Donn:

need supporting evidence.

Chelsey Donn:

'I don't need to know that it's bad.

Chelsey Donn:

'I need to know that there was A' hair in your food or that,

Trey Gerrald:

Right.

Trey Gerrald:

Gimme

Chelsey Donn:

know, that the stake was burnt, or you know,

Trey Gerrald:

right?

Trey Gerrald:

Or the portions were too

Chelsey Donn:

the salt was outta control or something like, just something.

Chelsey Donn:

Because if you, if you give me no evidence, then my trust value with you is very low.

Trey Gerrald:

Well, that's right.

Trey Gerrald:

'I will say like, 'I don't find A'.

Trey Gerrald:

Lot of value in this other than the gratuity comment, spelling and

Trey Gerrald:

Like 'I do think they definitely did A' spell check here.

Trey Gerrald:

Uh, this is an example where they use all caps to like, yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

sad chubby.

Trey Gerrald:

'I just can't like A'.

Trey Gerrald:

Also, the idea of changing the spelling of waiter to waiter is like so egregious to

Chelsey Donn:

me feel like you got into the restaurant, you saw that the waiter

Chelsey Donn:

The waiters are fat, like,

Trey Gerrald:

You know?

Trey Gerrald:

What is really occurring for me is like, We're nearly in 2023.

Trey Gerrald:

We, if we are hearing this and we're alive, if we're reading this review, we have survived A'

Trey Gerrald:

Odd perspective on life that has is just an asshole.

Trey Gerrald:

Like there's no getting around.

Trey Gerrald:

Like it's just so, there's like, right, it paints such A' horrific portrait

Trey Gerrald:

And I'm really 'I don't know why 'I 'I 'I wanna honor that I'm creating this, but it

Trey Gerrald:

Like

Chelsey Donn:

'I was gonna say

Trey Gerrald:

yeah, it really feels like there's something shady going on here, like 'I.

Trey Gerrald:

Think some like 'I.

Trey Gerrald:

Don't know if this is A' disgruntled employee that was fired.

Trey Gerrald:

'I don't know if this is someone from the restaurant

Chelsey Donn:

pizza shop.

Trey Gerrald:

Yeah.

Trey Gerrald:

'I don't.

Trey Gerrald:

'I don't know.

Trey Gerrald:

Or maybe this was like an out of towner who went there and they were like horrible

Trey Gerrald:

But it seems to me like they created A' dummy account.

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

Or the, or they're the kind of person that thinks just saying, you know, sad, chubby is enough.

Chelsey Donn:

Like that, that's funny.

Chelsey Donn:

Or something that like, that's enough of A' reason to take up space.

Chelsey Donn:

Cuz that's what you have to add,

Trey Gerrald:

but that just seems so out of touch that it makes me feel like

Chelsey Donn:

'I agree.

Chelsey Donn:

Ugh.

Trey Gerrald:

All right.

Trey Gerrald:

Humor

Chelsey Donn:

over you gig A',

Trey Gerrald:

there any humor here?

Chelsey Donn:

not the kind of humor that 'I laugh at

Trey Gerrald:

And 'I.

Trey Gerrald:

Don't believe 'I think they're just being meaning to be funny or something

Trey Gerrald:

Like no one's really gonna do that.

Chelsey Donn:

The signs around town thing, 'I mean.

Chelsey Donn:

Like, it's not even funny.

Chelsey Donn:

It's just stupid.

Chelsey Donn:

It's stupid.

Chelsey Donn:

When you haven't given me any evidence, you've given me no evidence other than

Chelsey Donn:

Don't trust them.

Chelsey Donn:

'I think that they were very difficult customers and if 'I was waiting tables at

Trey Gerrald:

No.

Trey Gerrald:

All right.

Trey Gerrald:

And 'I, there's A' very strong impact here.

Trey Gerrald:

Um, do you want A'?

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah, let's do it.

Trey Gerrald:

do it.

Trey Gerrald:

All right, so ChelseyBD and 'I each have our own set of zero to five crown cards and an effort

Trey Gerrald:

We will simultaneously reveal our ratings,

VOICEOVER:

The Queens are Tabulating.

VOICEOVER:

'I chose A' School.

Chelsey Donn:

Have crown, half crown.

Chelsey Donn:

The Queens are unanimous.

Chelsey Donn:

'I mean, duh.

Chelsey Donn:

The half crown is for the information about the gratuity being included, which like

Chelsey Donn:

So I'm not the type of person that's gonna be like super turned off by that.

Chelsey Donn:

But 'I can see how maybe some people would want fair warning that there was gratuity included.

Chelsey Donn:

So that's really the only credit 'I can give 'I.

Chelsey Donn:

Think that, you know, gig A' is A' bully.

Chelsey Donn:

And or competitor and or both.

Chelsey Donn:

Don't trust them and can't really give them any more credit than A' Half Crown.

Chelsey Donn:

How about you, Trey?

Trey Gerrald:

'I mean 'I was bouncing between zero and and half be be, and the same reason for

Trey Gerrald:

They auto-graded them because they were so disgruntled.

Trey Gerrald:

But I'm making that up.

Trey Gerrald:

'I just it, the impact for me is about who this reviewer is.

Trey Gerrald:

It, it actually has nothing to do with the actual restaurant.

Trey Gerrald:

And 'I just 'I mean.

Trey Gerrald:

It's such A'.

Trey Gerrald:

It's such A' turnoff that like 'I 'I mean 'I Couldn't

VOICEOVER:

There is A' reply.

Chelsey Donn:

reply.

Chelsey Donn:

Thank goodness.

Chelsey Donn:

Oh my God.

Chelsey Donn:

Okay.

Chelsey Donn:

Okay, 'I.

Chelsey Donn:

Feel better

Trey Gerrald:

Oh, all right.

Trey Gerrald:

So yes, there is A' reply that interestingly was written three hours after the review was posted.

Chelsey Donn:

Wow.

Chelsey Donn:

Okay,

Trey Gerrald:

So the user reply here is from the huddle kitchen and bar parenthesis owner.

Trey Gerrald:

They write,

Chelsey Donn:

Right.

Trey Gerrald:

We're not sure why you think the weight of our staff members was relevant to

Trey Gerrald:

We hope you enjoy Kate's across the street.

Trey Gerrald:

There are lovely people, which is more than can be said about you.

Chelsey Donn:

Yes, Queen.

VOICEOVER:

Mm.

Chelsey Donn:

Thank you.

Chelsey Donn:

Thank you.

Chelsey Donn:

Feel validated.

Chelsey Donn:

Good job.

Trey Gerrald:

'I.

Trey Gerrald:

Mean 'I.

Trey Gerrald:

Think it's 'I.

Trey Gerrald:

Think it's A'.

Trey Gerrald:

Good reply.

Trey Gerrald:

'I.

Trey Gerrald:

Feel like 'I.

Trey Gerrald:

Don't know there is.

Trey Gerrald:

There is something that is landing for me about matching negativity with negativity, but.

Trey Gerrald:

But 'I also think that as was evidenced in our crowning, like there's just no point to this

Trey Gerrald:

Wait, what's wrong with you?

Trey Gerrald:

And like, please don't return.

Chelsey Donn:

'I mean 'I.

Chelsey Donn:

Think that it's, yes, 'I agree.

Chelsey Donn:

Like we don't always wanna meet hate with hate, but in this case, it's like you are

Chelsey Donn:

So like 'I support any business in saying we don't want discrimination in our business.

Chelsey Donn:

Not only like, don't, do we not care that you're not coming back,

Trey Gerrald:

You're not welcome, right.

Chelsey Donn:

You know, because that's not acceptable.

Chelsey Donn:

And 'I and 'I.

Chelsey Donn:

My guess is that given the fact that this was written so quickly after it was written, my guess

Chelsey Donn:

And if they were, if they felt the need to write this online, imagine

Chelsey Donn:

So 'I don't really feel like it's, it's hateful.

Chelsey Donn:

In fact, they're like, go to Kates.

Chelsey Donn:

Go ahead.

Chelsey Donn:

We love them.

Chelsey Donn:

They're nice people.

Chelsey Donn:

You know what 'I

Trey Gerrald:

Well, yeah, well, full disclosure here.

Trey Gerrald:

'I didn't get any backstory from the person that gave me this review other than

Trey Gerrald:

But 'I don't, 'I don't know any of the story, but 'I really was left when 'I

Trey Gerrald:

'I really kind of had created A' story.

Trey Gerrald:

That someone at Kate's wrote this review, someone at the pizza place that that just occurred to me.

Trey Gerrald:

But then when they addressed Kate's, it made me think like, oh, there's no way.

Trey Gerrald:

But then 'I also thought, if they

Chelsey Donn:

Well, maybe that's shade.

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah,

Trey Gerrald:

they really did meet negativity with positivity.

Trey Gerrald:

It's like, what's that Bible verse?

Trey Gerrald:

Turn the other cheek.

Trey Gerrald:

Cuz 'I really follow that book.

Trey Gerrald:

But like, you know, 'I really 'I don't know 'I.

Trey Gerrald:

'I feel like.

Trey Gerrald:

'I, I'm making up.

Trey Gerrald:

We, we don't wanna slander this pizza place, but 'I, 'I really think that there is probably

Chelsey Donn:

I'm left wondering 'I guess because obviously like I'm hypersensitive to

Chelsey Donn:

'I.

Chelsey Donn:

Don't think 'I could be your cohost if you weren't, but I'm wondering if like, Everybody

Chelsey Donn:

Like, would you, would everybody be, you know, immediately turned off 'I?

Chelsey Donn:

Hope so.

Chelsey Donn:

'I.

Chelsey Donn:

Hope

Trey Gerrald:

'I mean when 'I read it, like when my coworker was like, you have

Trey Gerrald:

There was no preface.

Trey Gerrald:

So when 'I read it, 'I was like, what?

Trey Gerrald:

And then waiters being spelled that way in quotes, 'I was 'I.

Trey Gerrald:

My 'I mean 'I literally was like, what?

Trey Gerrald:

And then when you add up the sums of the whole, like, 'I don't even know

Trey Gerrald:

Assessment.

Trey Gerrald:

'I don't know if the fat shaming is to do with the service because

Trey Gerrald:

They just say that the food was bad.

Trey Gerrald:

They were there for an hour and A' half waiting on the food and that they didn't have the napkin

Trey Gerrald:

Like that's why 'I think there's more to the story here.

Trey Gerrald:

That being said, could someone that doesn't have A' sensitivity to body issues laugh at that?

Trey Gerrald:

Maybe, but like, it's just so, like we are so not in that conversation anymore.

Trey Gerrald:

It's like this, that, that's not okay.

Trey Gerrald:

Like

Chelsey Donn:

And this was written, when was this written recently?

Trey Gerrald:

don't know, honestly, because this is A' screenshot and it doesn't say the date.

Trey Gerrald:

So, 'I don't, 'I don't have that answer.

Chelsey Donn:

but presumably, like if this person that gave it to you, like knows the

Chelsey Donn:

Recent enough to not be so blind to like

Trey Gerrald:

Now wait.

Trey Gerrald:

Here's A' question.

Trey Gerrald:

Did you imagine A' gender for the server?

Chelsey Donn:

Mm.

Trey Gerrald:

It actually says waiters with an s.

Chelsey Donn:

'I mean?

Chelsey Donn:

'I was just imagining like male and female waiters that were overweight.

Chelsey Donn:

'I.

Chelsey Donn:

Mean.

Chelsey Donn:

'I.

Chelsey Donn:

Feel like I've had A', lot of waiters that have been overweight and fabulous.

Chelsey Donn:

'I just don't know how like.

Chelsey Donn:

Where that even fits into evidence for anything.

Chelsey Donn:

That's why the only thing 'I could think of was that they were commenting that

Trey Gerrald:

the slow service,

Chelsey Donn:

and the slow service because otherwise what is the point

Chelsey Donn:

I've had plenty of servers that like haul ass who, you know, have above

Trey Gerrald:

but like everyone does in America, like everyone

Chelsey Donn:

that's what I'm saying, 'I know

Trey Gerrald:

like portion size.

Trey Gerrald:

Well, obviously it's A' bigger conversation, but yeah.

Trey Gerrald:

'I don't know 'I.

Trey Gerrald:

Yes.

Trey Gerrald:

'I hear the point.

Trey Gerrald:

They, they very well could be intentionally finding TreyGerrald words to be upsetting.

Trey Gerrald:

They could intentionally be doing this thinking it.

Trey Gerrald:

Will be funny or because they thought the servers were slow, because they were overweight.

Trey Gerrald:

'I mean who fucking knows.

Trey Gerrald:

All of it is so 'I mean.

Trey Gerrald:

It's exactly what the reply is.

Trey Gerrald:

'I mean.

Trey Gerrald:

It's like, why do you think this is relevant?

Trey Gerrald:

You're not welcome back.

Trey Gerrald:

Like, get out of here.

Trey Gerrald:

'I.

Trey Gerrald:

Mean 'I.

Trey Gerrald:

Think the reply handles it very well.

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah.

Chelsey Donn:

'I think so too.

Trey Gerrald:

really wanna know more.

Trey Gerrald:

'I really wanna know what the T is behind.

Chelsey Donn:

'I do too, but 'I don't know that we'll ever find out because there's

Trey Gerrald:

Fake.

Trey Gerrald:

It's all fake.

Trey Gerrald:

This is

Chelsey Donn:

all vague.

Chelsey Donn:

'I can.

Trey Gerrald:

All right, well,

Chelsey Donn:

over you.

Chelsey Donn:

'I, can't!, 'I.

Chelsey Donn:

Don't even know what your name means, but I'm,

Trey Gerrald:

Yeah.

Trey Gerrald:

If any of you listeners know, like if you have more to the story or if you know what Gig A'

Trey Gerrald:

What is the backwards for?

Trey Gerrald:

For, for, for all.

Trey Gerrald:

For lag.

Trey Gerrald:

'I.

Trey Gerrald:

Yeah.

Trey Gerrald:

'I.

Trey Gerrald:

Don't know.

Chelsey Donn:

'I.

Chelsey Donn:

'I don't see anything there.

Chelsey Donn:

'I.

Chelsey Donn:

Yeah.

Trey Gerrald:

All right.

Trey Gerrald:

Well, this was disgusting and A' downer, but good job for the reply.

Chelsey Donn:

thank you for your, to your coworker friend for passing on this review.

Chelsey Donn:

It's always so nice when we have listeners and friends contribute reviews because listen, we

Trey Gerrald:

So let's change the energy.

Trey Gerrald:

Let's switch it

Chelsey Donn:

Yes.

Trey Gerrald:

reached the most regal portion of our show.

Trey Gerrald:

ChelseyBD, who are you inducting today for?

VOICEOVER:

My Royal line.

Chelsey Donn:

Well Cha, today I'm going to induct clothing company called Blind Brothers.

Chelsey Donn:

Have 'I talked to you about this before?

Chelsey Donn:

So Blind Brothers is started by Bradford and Brian Manning, who were both diagnosed with an

Chelsey Donn:

This condition's inspired A' special vigilance for details and A' passion that carries over

Chelsey Donn:

So within some of their clothes, they have braille and things that are

Chelsey Donn:

They're both graduates of the University of Virginian and they

Chelsey Donn:

Something that they do that 'I love, which is one of the reasons why 'I wanted to bring

Chelsey Donn:

Called Shopping Blind, where basically you can buy something either for yourself or as A' gift

Chelsey Donn:

There's different price categories that you can buy in at and you don't know what it is

Chelsey Donn:

'I actually did this one year as A' gift for my dad, and he got A' really cool hat, black hat

Chelsey Donn:

The products are amazing and above and beyond that 100% of the profits for this

Chelsey Donn:

So it's such an amazing cause built in with such A', beautiful.

Chelsey Donn:

Mission and amazing high quality products.

Chelsey Donn:

It's really A' win-win 'I.

Chelsey Donn:

Know A'.

Chelsey Donn:

Lot of times when the holidays come around, we don't know, you know, what to get for certain

Chelsey Donn:

Buying A' product knowing that your purchase is going to go towards curing,

Chelsey Donn:

So what A' beautiful mission.

Chelsey Donn:

Thank you Bradford and Brian Manning and 'I.

Chelsey Donn:

Wanted to induct both of you guys as our Royal Highness 'I.

Chelsey Donn:

Really, really love the mission behind what you do.

Chelsey Donn:

And 'I.

Chelsey Donn:

Hope we do find A' Cure.

Chelsey Donn:

'I.

Chelsey Donn:

Hope we do 'I.

Chelsey Donn:

Hope we do.

Chelsey Donn:
