What makes Southwest Virginia a tourism destination? What tourism assets should be promoted and prioritized for investment? Answers to these and other questions are part of a survey being disseminated by friends of Southwest Virginia to residents of the region. The aim of the survey is to garner information useful to a 10-year strategic plan that serves an initiative called destination Southwest Virginia. Host Dirk Moore speaks about this survey and other tourism research efforts with Katherine Fox. She is the director of regional destination development for Friends of Southwest Virginia.
