Section 1

Revelation 12 pulls back the curtain on spiritual warfare and reveals something believers cannot afford to forget: regardless of anyone’s particular view of end-times events, God wins. Dr. Dave emphasizes that the enemy continues fighting against Christians precisely because he does not want them growing closer to Christ or becoming more effective witnesses. Spiritual victories can sometimes be followed by difficult attacks as Satan attempts to steal the joy that strengthens believers. Some attacks are enormous while others are merely irritating distractions, but the purpose remains similar. God, however, can incorporate even the enemy’s opposition into His work of transforming His children so that their daily lives increasingly reflect the righteousness already given to them through Jesus Christ.

Section 2

Victory begins with the blood of the Lamb because everything Christians possess spiritually flows from the redeeming sacrifice of Jesus. Without His blood there is no forgiveness, reconciliation, access to God, or salvation. Christ’s sacrifice changed our relationship with the Father, allowing believers to continually approach His presence as His children rather than standing before Him as enemies. Revelation then identifies another weapon: the word of their testimony. Dr. Dave explains that testimony should not only be shared with other people; sometimes believers need to speak God’s faithfulness back to themselves. Saying aloud that Jesus saved us, remembering what He has already done, and declaring what we know He will ultimately accomplish can strengthen faith when present circumstances attempt to overwhelm our perspective.

Section 3

The final element of Revelation 12:11 reaches into one of Christianity’s deepest principles: believers overcame because they did not love their earthly lives even unto death. Dr. Dave connects this with Jesus teaching that life is truly discovered when we surrender ourselves to Him. Christianity cannot simply become another addition to an otherwise self-directed existence; it is a living relationship with God through Jesus Christ and the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit. When believers stop treating this temporary world as their ultimate destination, its fears, pleasures, and pressures begin losing their controlling power. Satan searches for openings, but surrendering ourselves increasingly to Christ closes those opportunities and redirects our lives toward eternity. Victory comes through Christ’s blood, the testimony of what God has done, and a life that belongs completely to Jesus.
