This is the third in The Boundaries Series of solo episodes, and this one is called How to Create a Distraction-Free Business. Spoiler alert: it comes down to self-awareness, self-acceptance, and having decent boundaries.
Most female solopreneurs are working from home, with one or more other beings in their space. Knowing how to manage our distractions and how we use distractions to avoid other uncomfortable feelings like resentment and self-doubt are half the battle to being productive from home.
If you are a work-from-home solopreneur in a service-based business, I encourage you to go back and listen to the previous episodes in this Boundaries Series: EP #95: Creating Consistent Client Outcomes and EP #97 Obligation Management. Here is some of what you will hear in this episode:
Tools for Self Awareness when it comes to distractions:
Know your limits
Clutter and distractibility
Distractions vs interruptions
Other People’s Problems
Digital information / FOMO
Imposter syndrome, self-doubt, perfectionism
Strategies mentioned in this episode:
Is there a gap between where you are and where you want to be? Do you know why? I created a quiz with 6 common problems that get in the way of your success and Distractibility is one of them!
Take the quiz and get your personalized result, and what to do about it!
With 20+ years of experience as a psychotherapist and 5+ years as a coach, I rarely meet a solopreneur who wouldn’t benefit from some expert guidance in this area. Click here to schedule a free 30-minute consultation to see if my signature 12-week 1:1 coaching program is right for you. https://calendly.com/diannwingert/free-consultation/
If you are the kind of entrepreneur who learns as much from others as you do when you and your business are the sole focus, my brand new group membership program is starting soon and the first step is to get on the waitlist.
So, that’s all for now, Driven Woman! See you next week, when we are releasing episode #100 (that’s ONE HUNDRED, PEOPLE!) and that means I have been producing this show every week for almost two years.
I would love to ask you for 100 new podcast reviews, but I would also be fine with 100 new followers on Instagram or 100 new members of The Driven Woman Facebook Group, but if you want to just go along for the ride, it’s all good. I see your downloads, so I know you’re out there!
I don’t want to say too much about what I have planned for you next week, but let’s just say I made something extra special for my 100th episode. Make sure you are following the show so you won’t miss it!
