However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. 14 He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.
Jesus. John 16:13, 14. Hi, it’s Nathan, and this is Day 21 of 30 Days in the Gospels. The Holy Spirit. What a precious gift. This third member of the God-family Jesus promised would continue to walk the road with us, his children—and that through his personal presence He, Jesus, would continue to speak with every individual follower. We have a personal Guide to direct our hearts into the vast ocean of truth, applying its liberating truth to our longing hearts. Best of all, the Holy Spirit will remind us often of our Brother. Reminding us that we are adored, redeemed, uplifted by his saving work. In the midst of our fear and struggle this kind Guide will press into our hearts the hope and guidance of Scripture. Lord God, give us more of this Spirit—may our hearts be humbly open to ALL that he offers. Amen.
