Jesus. Luke 6:38. Hi, it’s Nathan, and this is Day 23 of 30 Days of Growing. Generosity. It’s a defining attribute of God’s character—and it’s the beautiful person God desires to make us. It’s the way citizens of every other world but our own, behave every day. The cool thing about generosity is the incredible, multidirectional dynamic it creates. Generous people experience life differently than non-generous people. Funny thing is, the life full of joy, wonder, blessing, that we grasp and struggle to achieve is the normal world for the generous soul. Normal, because they calculate things differently—but normal also, because they actually experience more blessings in life, as kindness has a way of coming back to the giver. It’s not only a shift in perspective, but actually an increase in abundance—and an expanded capacity to relish that abundance, because getting is no longer the obsession of life.
