Developmental orthopedic disease (DOD) is a common concern in young horses and refers to a group of conditions where the horse’s skeleton grows abnormally. ACVS-LA, postdoctoral fellow at Colorado State University, in Fort Collins, explains DOD and how owners can reduce their animal’s risk.
