This is absolutely true when it comes to sin, but absolutely not true when it comes to being people of God, period.

Not everyone is considered by God to be a child of God.

Jesus.

Next, the second lesson has to do with understanding that there are times when troubling things take place in our lives.

I wrote an entire book about understanding.

There are times when God allows painful events to take place.

To deny this is to deny scripture.

If God causes everything in our lives to work together for good, then it presupposes that there are things that are not good that need to be worked out into good.

And finally, we're going to close this week with what I consider to be one of the better ddddd's.

When you get into the explanation with people who are evolutionists, they tend to try and explain that the universe started from nothing and became something.

But they never seem to be able to explain what that something is.

In other words, it's absolutely illogical for for there to be nothing and then something without some form of agency making that happen.

Guess what?

God is that agency.

He's the only one who can bring something out of nothing.

While growing up in a Jewish family, he made a wrong turn towards drug abuse.

Not all the people in this planet are my people.

There's my people, and then not my people.

And so we have to recognize people go, no, we're all of one.

You know, it's all one human race.

You're thinking, what do you mean in regards to sin, it's all one, and we need redemption.

In regards to being God's property, it is not.

It is very selective.

And just in case you didn't know this, in Exodus 9, 4, God even says, the animals of his people are his and the rest of the animals aren't his.

The same way even the animals of the chosen people are special in the mind of God.

And let's just use what Jesus said so that we can bring it to an end.

Jesus said, you're of your Father the devil.

That doesn't sound like everybody's God's kid.

Does it say that in the Greek?

Yes.

And in every translation ever, ever, it says the same thing.

There are people that are God's property and there are people that are not.

You don't know how that all pans out ultimately like God does.

But people that reject God and tell Jesus no and tell him they want nothing to do with him, are not exactly considered God's property.

And while we can all say, well, it's all one human race, no, it ain't.

There's the human race of mankind in his sinfulness, and the human race of mankind that is redeemed.

And that is the difference between sheep and goat, left and right, his and not his.

Now, the odds are phenomenally fantastic that if you're listening to this show, you're God's property.

But I want you to catch how important that is.

He sees you as his Property as special.

You want to know why?

Get rid of.

Get rid.

Because you are.

Because you're his.

Not because of you, but because of him.

You know, they talk about turning the page.

Let's go back a page, back to the Lord Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.

He is the one that has redeemed us, has saved us, and will be an intercessor for us.

So that's what I'm going to do.

I'm going to leave it up to God Almighty, Jesus Christ, my king, and the gift of the Holy Spirit that he has given me.

If I rely on that, I will not fail.

That is, it is wise to place all of you, all that you have, into the very lap of God so he can protect you as his child.

I've been there and done that.

You know, I could tell you testimony after testimony about my life, you know, even before I got saved.

I was in a truck going down.

You know what a strip mine is?

They have a lot of steep.

I was going through the strip mine and went off the cliff, head over, headlights to tail lights.

And my.

And I yelled out Jesus.

And when I yelled out Jesus, I popped out the back window and a little twig caught under my arm, and the truck went to the bottom, but I stayed about 15ft from the top.

Wow.

Wow.

That's a great testimony.

And that's before.

But I had enough, I guess, religion in me to know to call out for Jesus.

Is Christian Humor Allowed in teaching?

We've actually had complaints, you know, oh, you can't teach the gospel and use humor.

That's why Jesus called James and John the sons of thunder, because it wasn't a humorous quip.

You're right.

Pretty bad exegetical process.

But let's look at it.

Proverbs, chapter 17, verse 22.

A joyful heart is good medicine.

A joyful heart is good medicine.

You've heard that before.

That's not new.

You know, that's the case.

But what happens is people take these unique interpretations in Scripture and they think that it applies to all processes.

So somebody actually said to a member at our station, you can't use levity in the gospel proclamation because Paul says you can't do it in Second Corinthians, then it's like, wrong answer.

This is why we do the thing called read.

That's always fun.

And Second Corinthians, chapter 1, verse 7 says this.

In case you were trying to figure out where did that word levity come from?

It's only in one translation.

It's actually never used in any other capacity.

But here is what he was talking about.

Was I fickle when I intended to do this or when I made my plans?

Did I make so in a worldly manner in the same breath as to say yes, yes, and no?

No.

The only time that the potential word levity is used is when Paul is talking about meeting with the Corinthians.

And the one interpretation you could use is, was I using lightness?

It's not really the word for levity, just in case you're wondering.

But was I used, did I use lightness when I made my plans with you?

In other words, was I kidding around when I made plans to come see you?

No, that's what Paul said.

Not.

You can never use humor.

So whoever kind of swapped those two together really needs, really needs to, like, relax.

I think that would be the key.

And then for those that are just curious, you know, when the gospel talks about this is kind of one of those classic things.

When the gospel talks about making declaration and the foolishness of preaching the word is more from which we get the word silliness.

So Paul's like, yeah, preaching the gospel that for the Greek people and for the Jewish people in large, it's kind of like a silliness thing.

Yeah, that's what he said.

I just believe that's true.

How do we know?

Well, I'm going to be teaching on that because something out of nothing is the very thing the Lord does.

Takes something little and makes it expand.

So it was very encouraging within my situation.

I'm encouraged, but physically I'm very tired and stressed.

I would love to receive some prayer and maybe somebody pray and if God shows something, maybe next time you just share with me that what's wrong with me or what, what do I need to do to get over this hump.

Over getting over the mountain that's in front of you?

Right?

Yes.

And I'm going to say this to you because I love you.

Because you know, you're.

You're encouraged to use your faith to move that mountain.

I just want to.

I just want to remind you of that.

I come before you right now on my brother's behalf and Lord, sometimes we just need somebody holding up our arms.

Just like Moses did when he had the staff in his hand.

He needed help with his arms being up.

And sometimes we need that.

Every one of us needs extra help from time to time.

So we are encouraged that Samson was encouraged by the testimony of you helping Roger again in that absolute drastic scenario.

You saved his life.

You redeemed him, you pulled him out miraculously.

That's what Samson's looking for, the miracle working of power of God.

But Lord, he is just going to fully invest in you.

He can't do it without your help.

He can't do anything right without your help.

He needs the power of your spirit working through him.

He needs to be operating in the name and authority of Jesus Christ.

He needs your comfort, he needs your energy, he needs your strength.

And he can't do it without you.

And he acknowledges that and we acknowledge that with him.

And we pray that you would pour upon him life, abundant life, just filled with energy and filled with the anointing just like you've done to your servants time and time again.

Lift him up out of the mire and put a new song in his mouth as you put his feet on a rock and let him sing the praises that are due your name.

We lift him up before you and ask your blessing on him in Jesus name.

And first of all, I want to say something to Sergio.

I didn't really say it because I didn't want to get into it.

Sergio had asked the question about Aaron not making it because I didn't want to tell him what's coming as he's going to read it.

Sergio, it was appointed for him to die, but he also didn't help his cause because he helped Israel fall into sin.

And God wasn't happy about that.

So I should have brought that up as well.

Sorry, I did not bring that up earlier.

That's one of the reasons why he didn't get into the promised land.

But that's separate.

Okay, listen.

This is called something out of nothing.

Luke 9, 12, 16.

As the day neared its end, the twelve disciples came to Jesus and said, dismiss the crowds so they can go to the surrounding villages and countrysides for lodging and provision for.

We're in a desolate place.

But Jesus told them, you give them something to eat.

Well, we only have five loaves of bread and two fish.

They answered, unless we go and buy food for all these people.

And there were about 5,000 men.

He told his disciples, have them sit down in groups of about 50 each.

And they did so.

And everyone was seated, taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven.

Jesus spoke a blessing and broke them.

He then gave them to the disciples to set before the people.

One of the things that we know is that God is our source and our resource, not just financially, but for everything.

And one of the most amazing things that first of all, you know, and you've heard me teach it multiple times, and other people have as well.

This is the only creative miracle in all four Gospels.

The feeding of the 5,000.

Besides the resurrection, this is the only specialized creative empowerment miracle that takes place in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.

This is the only one.

And there is a reason why it's the only one.

Because resources from every point of view have a way of drying up.

I don't know if you're familiar with this or not, but you know Israel, when they sold their brother Joseph in Israel had his sons, Jacob had his sons.

Guess what?

There was a famine in the land.

Guess what?

The land has famine.

Sin is in the world.

There are troubles and there are trials.

But the Lord protecting his nation, Israel, before they actually became a full onboard nation, he was saving them and protecting them ahead of time.

Because different things happen under the economy of God that He allows.

And one of them was a famine.

So here they're in this situation, and this situation happens a lot.

The resources are limited and there's not a lot to work with.

And the account looks low, or the cupboard looks low, or think about Elijah.

The oil looks low.

And what did Jesus do?

He took what he had.

He looked up to heaven and he spoke a blessing.

Stop right there.

Your source and resource is God.

If he gives you your breath, then every step you take comes by the grace of God.

So there's no, oh, I can do this and I can do this.

You can't do any of that if God doesn't give you his gift of breath.

But the thing that Jesus did was he spoke a blessing.

He didn't complain.

Jesus didn't go, is that all we got?

That's what I do.

That's what a lot of you do.

Is this all we have that's complaining?

He didn't do that.

He spoke a blessing.

In Matthew, it says, he gave thanks.

He blessed what he had.

He appreciated what was there.

He was thankful for what was in front of him.

And then he did something amazing.

He broke it apart and gave it to the disciples so they could set it before the people.

In fact, not only did he speak a blessing, not only did he say, thank you, he shared what little he had.

And I want you to pick this up.

I don't want you to miss this.

The miracle.

Listen to what I'm going to tell you.

It's big and powerful.

The miracle came in the sharing process.

When Jesus spoke the blessing and he broke it and he gave it his disciples.

And then he told his disciples, set this before the people.

The miracle appeared.

As the disciples were doing what Jesus said, as they were sharing, the multiplication took place.

Now watch this.

You know what we do.

Let's see if we're going to be honest as Christians.

Sometimes we hoard what we have because we can't afford to be missing any.

But look how Jesus did it.

Took what he had, blessed it, no complaining, said thank you, and then shared.

And in the sharing process, gave it to the disciples.

And then the disciple.

Now keep in mind something right?

You've got what, 12 disciples, right?

It even says as the day neared it end, the 12 came to Jesus.

Well, what do they have?

Five loaves and two fish.

Well, so each disciple then could get a half a loaf and a half a.

You know what I'm saying?

And then each, well, maybe two of them got a fish.

In other words, there was just not a lot to share.

But it was enough.

Because in the sharing, they then set it before the people and it kept building and kept going and kept growing.

Because God is the source.

God is the resource.

The only one that can take literally little and make it much.

The only one who can take the pain and make it heal.

The only one that can take the hard and make it good.

The only one that could take the difficult and make it easy.

The only one that can take the nothing and make something, the Lord.

So we give it to him, we say thank you, we bless it, we share it, and we watch the miracle.

That is how you handle those situations.

And by the way, in all four Gospels, right?

Okay.
