The Second Chapter special Women of the Fringe episodes!

This week, I’m speaking with Cynthia Shaw. Cynthia grew up in a small town in Colorado playing classical piano. After moving to new york as a student, she has continued throughout her life to add strings to her bow- going from musician to singer, actor, writer and performer. This month, she presents her solo show, Velvet Determination, at Greenside, Nicolson as part of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Because so many people enjoyed Erin Hunter's and Pauline Holmes' episodes, I've decided to do a special series of TSC episodes around Women of the Fringe. Over the next few weeks (starting with this episode), I'll be chatting with women who are bringing shows to Edinburgh Fringe - the world's largest arts festival!- after 35.

In typical TSC fashion, I'm excited to know about the changes their lives and careers have seen post-35 and how they're planning to make their mark amongst the 3500+ shows that will converge on Edinburgh in August.

On The Second Chapter, serial careerist and founder of Slackline Productions, Kristin Duffy, chats with women who started the second (or third… or fifth!) chapter in their careers and lives, after 35. You’ll find inspiring stories, have a few laughs, and maybe even be motivated to turn the page on your own second chapter!

Of course we’d love to hear what you think- and if you love the show, please leave us a 5-star rating and review on podchaser or Apple podcasts.
