Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps. Wisdom is the final frontier in gaining true knowledge. Thanks for coming along on today’s trek as we increase Wisdom and Create a Living Legacy. Proverbs 16:16 How much better to get wisdom than gold, and sound judgment than silver! We are on Day 1676 of our Trek, and it’s time to explore another nugget of wisdom, which includes an inspirational quote along with some wise words from Gramps for today’s trek. If you apply the words you hear today, over time, it will help you become more healthy, wealthy, and wise as you continue your daily trek of life. So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget:
Today’s quote is from Colin Powell, and it is: A dream doesn’t become a reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination, and hard work.
Turning Dreams Into Reality
Most of us are dreamers, and we like the dreams we envision for ourselves. So, naturally, we desire our dreams to come true, but they do become a reality through magic. For dreams to become true, we must be willing to invest what it takes for that to happen. There is no magic or secret formula. I will give you the recipe for turning dreams into reality. It takes equal measurements of sweat, determination, and hard work. Mix these ingredients vigorously for a long time, and it will harden your resolve to achieve that which you dream. There are no easy paths to the success that we desire in any area of life. Hard work is a gift from God, one that we must choose to enjoy because work is from God. Don’t delude yourself into thinking that dreams will magically become a reality. Follow the precepts found in God’s Word.
Wealth from get-rich-quick schemes quickly disappears; wealth from hard work grows over time.
A hard worker has plenty of food, but a person who chases fantasies ends up in poverty.
