Johannes Cabal, The Necromancer Chapter 12 Summary

Cabal returns to Penlow on Thurse and is depressed by it’s idyllic nature. He runs into Barrow and the two have tea together, discussing topics ranging from the Carnival to Death itself. Cabal gives Barrow tickets for him and his daughter, and then is introduced to Leonie. Later Barrow forbids his daughter from attending the Carnival.

• Crow Symbolism Throughout History - Cabal has a feathered friend whether he likes it or not. Perhaps there may be a little more meaning to the appearance of this black bird.
