Speaker A:
Given that Kroger just overhauled its dress code, what is, in your opinion, the best retail employee uniform of all time?
Speaker B:
Oh, my God.
Speaker B:
That's so easy.
Speaker B:
So easy.
Speaker B:
King employee outfit from the:
Speaker B:
ing commercial girl in, like,:
Speaker B:
That is by far and away the best one.
Speaker B:
Ella.
Speaker A:
Love it.
Speaker A:
All right, Chris, if you could only spend one night in either Nashville or Vegas, which you've been recently to both the places, would you prefer?
Speaker B:
Oh, hands down, Vegas.
Speaker B:
Heads down, Vegas.
Speaker A:
Yeah.
Speaker B:
The.
Speaker B:
The Hangover.
Speaker B:
The Hangover, the movie Hangover captures Vegas to a T. But, you know, I've not really ever been to Nashville before, so I say that having only spent time in Vegas, So maybe Nashville will convince me by the end of this trip.
Speaker A:
Okay, we'll have to touch base next week.
Speaker A:
Question number three.
Speaker A:
If you could have one thing delivered to your backyard by drone in 20 minutes, what would it be?
Speaker B:
This one's so easy.
Speaker B:
Oh, pizza.
Speaker B:
I love pizza.
Speaker B:
I crave pizza more than any food.
Speaker B:
I think I could eat pizza every day, Ella.
Speaker B:
I really do.
Speaker B:
I really do.
Speaker B:
And I think getting pizza delivered by drone would just be so bomb.
Speaker B:
Like, I'm waiting for the day when that happens.
Speaker B:
I wonder why.
Speaker B:
Wonder why pizza drone delivery hasn't caught on yet as quickly as some of the other ones.
Speaker B:
You don't hear it talked about that much.
Speaker B:
It's really kind of interesting.
Speaker B:
There must be some dynamic to it.
Speaker B:
Maybe it's, like, too light.
Speaker B:
I don't know.
Speaker B:
All right, let's finish it out.
Speaker A:
Final question of the day.
Speaker A:
Meta offers camera, free audio, AI, smart glasses designed to address growing privacy backlash over covert recording.
Speaker A:
Does this make you want to run out and buy a pair?
Speaker B:
A hundred percent.
Speaker B:
Yes, it does.
Speaker B:
100%.
Speaker B:
Yes, it does.
Speaker B:
I mean, it's so funny that this story broke after we covered the expansion of their stores, their Meta Glass stores, and I don't think that's the right name for them, but the stores that sell the meta glasses.
Speaker B:
Last week on the Fast 5, because Ben Miller sent this headline to me because he and I got into the discussion about how I saw there was a use case for these outside the video capabilities, because, you know, he got all.
Speaker B:
As have many people got all creeped out by the video, you know, factor here.
Speaker B:
And here they are releasing them saying there's still a lot of utility here with the idea of smart glasses.
Speaker B:
So.
Speaker B:
So, like, I. I love this.
Speaker B:
I think it's really interesting, particularly if they can get the style dialed in.
Speaker B:
That's where I'm still.
Speaker B:
I'm still not ready to bite yet, Ella.
Speaker B:
But I think I will be very soon.
Speaker B:
But I'm gonna go.
Speaker B:
I might go back to the Best Buy store and check this out to see, you know, exactly what I can and can't get through this because, you know, it could be kind of interesting.
Speaker B:
Of course, it's gotta interact well with all the peripherals that come around.
Speaker B:
Come on, come along with it.
Speaker B:
But I think this is gonna happen.
Speaker B:
I'm really starting to think it might.
Speaker B:
Whether it's meta or somebody else, you know, who knows what Apple's sitting on the sidelines trying to do here too?
Speaker A:
Oh, yeah, for sure.
Speaker A:
And didn't Kylie Jenner just come out with a new pair?
Speaker A:
A little collab.
Speaker A:
And they were actually really cute.
Speaker A:
Like, I feel like I would want those.
Speaker A:
But Kris, a pair, don't you?
Speaker B:
I do.
Speaker B:
I have a pair, but I have one of the first pairs.
Speaker B:
And first of all, they're super big, super dorky, and you put the camera on it, it flashes a big blue light.
Speaker B:
So I.
Speaker B:
And.
Speaker B:
And there's one thing that I do not want to ever be assigned or have one moniker ever assigned to me, and that's creeper because that's how I would feel if I walked around any store wearing those with the big flashing light.
Speaker B:
I haven't thought about taking him to my son's soccer game to just record the soccer game without having to hold my phone up.
Speaker B:
But I haven't even done that.
Speaker B:
So, like, yeah, I don't know.
Speaker B:
But for some reason I'm still kind of in on these.
Speaker B:
But I think the use cases I talked about, like last week on the show, like, you know, automatic translation in your ear as you're, you know, in a foreign country is key.
Speaker B:
Being able to look at a menu or, you know, something.
Speaker B:
Now there's some video capabilities in that too, so I don't know.
Speaker B:
But like, you know, could it project it onto my phone, for example?
Speaker B:
Could there.
Speaker B:
Could it screen mirror that or.
Speaker B:
I don't know, but I guess not, probably because that would be the same thing with the video.
Speaker B:
So.
Speaker B:
But anyway, I think there's still some use cases out there, particularly the translation that I like a lot, particularly if you're in France and have to deal with their waiters, as everyone always knows.
