Shownotes

For six years in the 1990s, Janice Miller lived in the bush of Alaska with her husband and two kids ‒ with no television, radio, or telephone connection to the outside world for half of that time. She became an expert in the art of isolation and sheltering in place, doing the most with the little resources she had available to her, while also raising and educating her children. In this episode, she shares her fascinating story, relating her experiences to adapting to life during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her story demonstrates how to keep a positive outlook under the most extreme circumstances. Janice is an office administrator for Gannett Fleming in State College, Pa.
