Part of understanding the "science & study of fraud" is to understand different types of fraud-fighting. Kelly Paxton is a Certified Fraud Examiner with a long history of investigations that range from her time as a Special Agent for US Customs Office of Investigations, as well as legal investigations. Over the last several years, Kelly has been focused on providing education about a type of fraud that isn't always discussed: Pink Collar Fraud. She even wrote the book on it!
In this episode, Kelly shares several stories of her investigative career, explains why "pink collar" crime is not limited to just one gender, and why teaching corporate ethics is a critical piece of fraud prevention in businesses. Kelly & Karisse also discuss the personality traits most common across all types of fraud-fighters, and why it's important to learn from each other.
