Wesleyne (:

God has this unconditional, unwavering love for us and times when we've been hurt, when we have felt so much pain.

our image and our view of how God loves us.

It impacts how we love ourselves. But you must remember that God loves you unconditionally. He loves you not because of what you do, not because of what you don't do. He just loves you because you are His child. You are.

Wesleyne (:

You are His child. You are exactly who He created you to be. In Psalms 9 verses 10, it says, those who know your name trust in you, for you Lord have never forsaken those who seek you. He will never forsake you. If you reach out and you say, well, it's been a long time since I've spoken to you God.

I don't know if you're listening. I don't know if you still can hear my voice, but hey, it's me.

He has never forsaken you. He has never left your side. He has never, ever, ever.

Wesleyne (:

and he will never ever ever leave you. He will never forsake you. So hold that in your heart, hold that in your mind. Know that God has never given up on you. So don't give up on God.

And I want you to love God like you've never been disappointed. Love God like you've never been hurt. Love God like you've never been bitter or anxious or depressed. Love him in that way that a young child who has never experienced the pain of this world, who's never experienced any heartache, they look up with, look up.

and they have these big open eyes and this big bright smile and they don't know any wrong they don't know anything other than to receive love than to give love

I recently asked my youngest son, share someone who has hurt you or made you feel bad or did something not nice to you. And he was like, I can't think of anyone, mommy. There's no one that I know that has been mean to me. That childlike love and hope that so many of us have taken away.

from us at a young age due to abuse or neglect or mistreatment and we carry that pain with us throughout our lives.

Wesleyne (:

God said, I want you to trust me, love me like you've never been hurt. And so today I challenge you and I ask you, what would that look like for you? How would you love God?

Act like a child as you've never been hurt. Take some time and journal about it. Write it out and remember, love God like you've never been hurt.
