Shownotes

Today’s episode is from a video that I recorded for my Teen Catalyst group on Facebook about how to become more confident in any situation.

Here are 20 crazy things to try to boost your confidence. (Plus five bonus confidence boosters!)

  1. Get naked
  2. In the privacy of your own home, please!
  3. This can help you to become more confident in your own skin
  4. Do something crazy that is out of character for you
  5. Pick something that is totally out of your league
  6. Learn something new
  7. Pick something that you don’t feel super confident in, and dive in
  8. Take a stand-up comedy class
  9. If you can learn to laugh at yourself and make others laugh too, it can really boost your confidence
  10. Get in shape without joining a traditional gym
  11. Go running, learn martial arts, or take a dancing class
  12. These are great ways to help yourself to get in shape without doing something traditional
  13. Subtly flirt with others
  14. Flirting can be fun (and scary), so don’t be afraid to strut your stuff sometimes
  15. Join a good charitable cause
  16. When you help other people, you feel good that you contributed to someone else’s betterment
  17. Join the selfie crusade
  18. Take good selfies; take bad selfies; take crazy selfies, and share them!
  19. Go somewhere where nobody will recognize you and cut loose
  20. Be bold, laugh out loud, sing, dance!
  21. Sing karaoke
  22. They say singing releases the feel-good endorphins
  23. Teach a class
  24. It doesn’t matter what it is, just try teaching something to somebody
  25. You learn better when you teach; first, you observe, then you participate, then you teach, and that is when the learning really sinks in and sticks
  26. Host a roast
  27. Select a few candidates, say some nice things about them, and then roast them with embarrassing stories and jokes
  28. Make sure you have permission from the people you’re going to roast before you roast them
  29. Find a mentor
  30. Pick someone who inspires you to do more and to be better in life
  31. Throw a pity party
  32. But don’t let it last for more than a couple of minutes
  33. Host or attend a meet-and-greet event in your area
  34. This can be super scary (especially for introverts), but just go and do it!
  35. Document (on social media) your progress of becoming a more confident person
  36. The feedback that people will give you will be encouraging; people love to help other people
  37. Dump the drama and the toxicity
  38. Stop creating or feeding into drama and remove those toxic people from your life
  39. Expect the best and believe that it will happen
  40. Don’t think about “what if’s”, but focus on what you’ll gain with the positive outcome
  41. Be defiant
  42. Sometimes you need to break the rules
  43. But don’t be disrespectful in doing it,
  44. don’t break laws, and
  45. don’t hurt people
  46. Own your flaws
  47. Being self-aware reduces how other people’s thoughts affect you
  48. Celebrate your successes
  49. We often only see our failures, but we need to celebrate our success too
  50. Dress like the person you want to be
  51. If you want to wear bright lipstick, wear bright lipstick!
  52. Be bold, be confident
  53. Mirror the actions of other confident people
  54. Acknowledge and understand that failures happen
  55. Failure is an acceptable part of learning
  56. If you’re not failing, you’re not trying
  57. Stop being nice
  58. Set firm boundaries and stick to them!
  59. Don’t worry about upsetting other people all the time
  60. Take a personality test
  61. This can help you to understand yourself better, and how to relate better with other people
