Shownotes
Welcome to The Wine Tipster, serving up the very best in horseracing, food and wine.
In this episode we're in Newmarket, at the home of flat racing and we started off on the Rowley Mile, where we walked down the course with Andrew Morris, Head of Racing at Newmarket Racecourse.
After that we thought it was time for some food and drink, so we headed it off to The Tack Room, a celebrated café and restaurant in the heart of the town, where I had a great chat with the proprietor Paul Winchester and my good friend Damien Adams, East Region Head Chef for Jockey Club Catering. We had a really, really great time and I so enjoyed chatting to the guys about food and wine - as ever.
This podcast is being released the week of the Craven meeting, which is the opening meeting of Newmarket's annual racing calendar.
If you haven’t visited Newmarket yet, hopefully this podcast will make you want to come on down either for the Craven itself or for some of the other wonderful delights the town has to offer.
In case you've not heard him before, Neil Phillips is a regular contributor to the Nick Luck Daily and you may also have heard him on The Final Furlong or talkSPORT Daily’s Horses For Courses so if you like these podcasts, we know you'll love The Wine Tipster.
Enjoy the pod.
Cheers!
