>> Clare: Have you ever wondered what makes an Early Years setting truly

special? Welcome to Atelier Talks,

the Early Years Collective.

This is a brand new podcast lifting the lid on what it really

takes to deliver, an award winning Early Years setting.

We want to share our expertise, we want to share our

confidence, we want to be able to support

people in anything they want to

achieve. Because actually we're not saying that what we do is the

right way, we're saying it's the way that works for us.

This year is brought to you by the team behind Atelier

Nursery. That's me, Clare and my brilliant

leadership team colleagues Beth, Lauren and Laura.

>> Laura/Beth/Lauren: Hello.

>> Clare: Together we run two thriving, award winning family

run nurseries in Bath and Tippenham.

>> Laura: When you walk through the doors of our nursery, we don't have

age based rooms, we don't have staff that are

only working with the babies, or staff that only work with our

preschoolers. All of our children can access all of

the space, all of the time. Regardless of their age. Children

come to learn in their way,

facilitated by really clever

educators.

>> Clare: Here at Atelier we stand on the shoulders of many

giants. Our approach is rooted in research influenced by

the Reggio Emilia and Froebelian principles and shaped by our

belief that young children deserve the very best.

We believe that there's more to earlier's education than

Pinteresty paintings and a one size fits

all tick box planning approach. It's all about

creating enabling environments rooted in research

that inspire children to explore, create and

thrive.

>> Beth: For anybody that is used to a traditional

setup nursery with your separate room and

kind of that non free flow aspect, I

think when you're talking about it, they probably just feel like

it's going to be absolute chaos. There's

toys everywhere but actually

every day I go into that nursery, everybody

is so busy, so engaged. It's really

purposeful.

>> Lauren: It's free flow, not free for all.

>> Beth: Yeah.

>> Clare: This podcast, is for nursery owners, managers, m

educators, practitioners, leaders and parents.

Essentially anyone passionate about making a positive difference

in the early years sector. We'll be bringing you plenty

of honest conversations and practical insights based on our own

research led setting, sharing our day to day

practises, sharing an insight of what makes our

setting so special.

>> Laura: We're going to be honest, we're going.

>> Clare: To be very real.

>> Laura: Yeah, real because we are people who work in the

sector day in, day out. We're still working in the

nurseries. So we are on the front line.

>> Clare: I think that's really exciting I

think to have something that's for educators,

for nursery owners by educators in finances.

I think is really interesting because actually it is

about sharing but also opening up that

discussion what it can be.

>> Laura: I can picture a bit of like a sledgehammer and

we're like breaking down barriers and we're just

thinking we're just a bit.

>> Clare: During our podcast we'll be talking about everything atelier,

from our mixed age key families to how we spark

children's curiosity through our project led learning, how

the Frobilian and Reggio influences that shape

our work really take place and what they look

like in practise, essentially all the

individual ingredients that create what we call the

magic of atelier. We're really giving you the insider

access to our two award winning outstanding nursery

settings to help you on your own journey to

creating a truly special learning environment.
