From being apart of the 60's scoop as a child she was among the thousands of first nations children that were stolen from their parents and given up for adoption. Then growing up dealing with the racism faced by most first nations peoples while trying to find her cultural identify. She felt she had finally achieved her live dream of being a mothers to 6 fantastic kids only to have her future shaken when her husband discovered he was a transgendered woman. She helped him along his path but their marriage was not meant to survive it. No on the other side of years of trauma Star feels settled and grounded in her new path and new family.
