Shownotes

On this podcast episode, we discuss the miracle Jesus performed by healing the man lowered from the roof. (Mark 2:1-12). The four friends took their paralyzed friend up the stairways to the roof, took their knives and dug a hole in that dry clay roof. They dropped their friend right down into the living room, right into the presence of Jesus. These men of faith believed Jesus could heal their friend as much as the paralytic man did. So, when getting close to Jesus was tough, they didn't stand by and wait for the crowd to die down, or for Jesus to come to them. The four friends let their paralyzed friend down as he lay on a mat. We like these four men and their persistence, their perseverance, their doggedness, and their imaginative spirit.

There is a saying, Good friends are like diamonds, precious and rare. But bad friends are like autumn leaves, found everywhere. May our friendships always produce the fruits of the spirit. And may the soft rain of our friendships nourish the heart forever.
