A black executive perspective.

2

:

Now presents need to know with

the award-winning hyphenated Dr.

3

:

Nsenga Burton, Dr.

4

:

Burton.

5

:

What do we need to know?

6

:

Dr. Nsenga Burton:

7

:

Good morning and welcome

to Need To Know with Dr.

8

:

Nsenga Burton.

9

:

I am she.

10

:

Today I'm going to talk to you about the

people who have, I don't know if it's fear

11

:

of, uh, misNsenga out buyer's, remorse.

12

:

Uh, there are lots of terms that

kinda can describe this behavior

13

:

that's been very interesting.

14

:

But these are people who voted for

47 and now are like, oh my God, I

15

:

can't believe this is happening to me.

16

:

So, you know.

17

:

I think they call us.

18

:

Um, people who did not vote

for 47 snowflakes we're weak.

19

:

We just, you know, we

think we know everything.

20

:

Um, we're, you know, we do

everything about intellect, you

21

:

know, all that kind of stuff.

22

:

And I just wanna say that for those of us

who read for comprehension and Red Project

23

:

2025, in addition to paying attention

to 40 seven's first term when he was 45.

24

:

Uh, clearly made the right decision

because so many of, uh, the people

25

:

who have voted for 47 are now online

talking about they've lost their jobs.

26

:

They didn't know they

were coming for my job.

27

:

They've lost their partners.

28

:

Their partners have now been deported.

29

:

Uh, in some cases it

seems like it's illegal.

30

:

Uh, the courts have ordered in

many cases for people to be, um.

31

:

That the president could not use this

wartime, um, law to deport people

32

:

without hearings and all of the things.

33

:

And your, your president, uh,

is ignoring the courts, right?

34

:

We have three branches of government.

35

:

Executive, legislative and judicial.

36

:

Judicial is supposed to

really be the guardrails.

37

:

That's supposed to be the ones when

the executive branch messes up.

38

:

When the legislative, legislative

branch mees messes up the exec, uh,

39

:

the judicial branch is supposed to

come in and really interpret the law

40

:

and tell you what needs to happen.

41

:

So we now have a president who was not.

42

:

Following the law even when he is

told before the planes take off,

43

:

uh, when they are mid-air, turn

around and bring the flights back.

44

:

Don't, don't take off.

45

:

He's doing what he wants to do.

46

:

I say all of this to say

that people are actually

47

:

waiting for someone who has

a history of being a liar.

48

:

Right.

49

:

I mean, they can count his lies.

50

:

That's how much he lies.

51

:

Who has reneged on so much stuff

with other people, contractors who's

52

:

been sued hundreds of times for

failure to pay or to keep his word.

53

:

You know, when you fail to pay someone

for services that were rendered, that

54

:

is called not keeping your word right?

55

:

There's a lack of integrity.

56

:

This is someone who in our,

in, in their first term.

57

:

Did the same thing.

58

:

Did the same thing, but for some

reason you thought because you were

59

:

white, that you were going to be safe.

60

:

This is a person who does not care

about you and has shown that they don't

61

:

care about anybody else other than

themselves, not even their children.

62

:

That they're, they'll throw their own

children under the bus to survive.

63

:

Okay, so this whole idea, like,

I didn't think it would happen

64

:

to me, but you were okay with it.

65

:

Happening to other people means that

you actually have a lack of integrity.

66

:

So instead of looking for empathy

or sympathy, or, my gosh, please

67

:

help me, you know, I didn't know

he was gonna gut veteran affairs.

68

:

Why didn't you know that?

69

:

I mean, it's, he said it.

70

:

He brought in a veteran as his

vice president so that it can

71

:

look like he's pro veteran.

72

:

While you wouldn't notice him gutting

Veteran Affairs and getting rid of

73

:

all of your benefits, including Social

security, which they claim you haven't

74

:

earned, including the veteran sitting

next to him as the vice president

75

:

saying You don't need them.

76

:

You didn't earn them.

77

:

Okay, so I just wanted to say today,

sometimes you need to know all of the

78

:

information you have in front of you.

79

:

All of the information you have in front

of you and you should stop trying to make.

80

:

And this goes for anything.

81

:

It's not just this 47.

82

:

It goes for relationships.

83

:

When someone is showing you

who they are, believe them.

84

:

I know the great Maya Angelou said

that, but it is true when someone has

85

:

shown you who they are, believe them.

86

:

There was nothing that 45 did, uh, 47

did in his in when he was 45 in his first

87

:

presidency that he is not doing now.

88

:

The only thing is, is that because

he had been president before, now

89

:

he has a shorter runway, which means

he's just hitting the ground running

90

:

because he knows how things work and

how to get around them now, so he

91

:

doesn't plan to pay you your benefits.

92

:

This man, this is a man who

doesn't pay contractors.

93

:

He's not paying you your benefits.

94

:

He don't even know why you have benefits.

95

:

He doesn't think you should

have Social security.

96

:

We should be able to

take care of ourselves.

97

:

They needed that during the depression.

98

:

People don't need that now.

99

:

The government needs that money

as if it's not our money, as if we

100

:

haven't been paying into it through

our hard work all these years.

101

:

All right.

102

:

So sometimes all you need to know

is what's in front of you and you

103

:

had the information and you made a

miscalculation because you didn't

104

:

care about other people, right?

105

:

You don't care if he's deporting,

uh, immigrants that you don't like.

106

:

Even in the Latinx community, you know,

you may be Cuban, but you don't care

107

:

that the deporting Venezuelans, right?

108

:

And now they're coming from

Cubans, and you're like, but

109

:

wait, we got Rubio in the house.

110

:

He rubio's our person.

111

:

Rubio can't stop Trump.

112

:

And if he can, he's not because he,

after the power he, he has the power.

113

:

Now he's in the circle.

114

:

And even though his face shows

like, oh my God, what have I done?

115

:

Every time there's a press conference,

he's not gonna go against it

116

:

because he'd have to admit that

he made a bad decision repeatedly.

117

:

So you have made a bad decision repeatedly

and you are now suffering for it.

118

:

And even though I do typically have

empathy, I have to say, I'm sorry.

119

:

Yeah, I'm sorry That your spouse is gone.

120

:

That is deported.

121

:

I'm sorry that you all had jobs, you

know, three months ago and now you

122

:

don't have jobs and now you're competing

with, uh, literally tens of thousands

123

:

of people in a sluggish job market.

124

:

I'm sorry.

125

:

We're heading into a recession and

everybody's gonna be cash poor.

126

:

They don't have jobs, right?

127

:

So you're gonna have to live off your

credit cards if you have them, and

128

:

you're gonna pay ridiculous rates because

we're going into, uh, a recession.

129

:

I'm sorry that you didn't understand that

the economy was terrible under this person

130

:

before, so it's gonna be terrible again.

131

:

So this is what happens when you

don't pay attention to what's in

132

:

front of you, when you don't look at

what people have shown you before.

133

:

So I just want you all to understand when

people show you who they are, business,

134

:

politics, relationships, friendships,

believe them, and then don't cry about

135

:

it when 10 million people told you,

listen, we're trying to tell you.

136

:

We read the documents as, as Tom

Cruise says, I read the papers, Matt.

137

:

We read the documents,

we saw what happened.

138

:

We've read the analyses.

139

:

We lived it.

140

:

Don't do it, and you do it anyway.

141

:

Then you need to know

that we don't give a damn.

142

:

All right, so.

143

:

Tune in next week for need to

Know Another Need to know with Dr.

144

:

145

146

you who they are, believe it.
