“Proclaim the power of God, not only through what you say, but also through what you do” - Wesleyne
Psalms 71:18:
Now that I am old and gray, do not abandon me, O God. Let me proclaim your power to this new generation, your mighty miracles to all who come after me.
The words in this verse are a heartfelt plea from the psalmist, expressing his deep desire for God's continued presence and assistance in his later years. Despite the inevitable challenges and frailties of old age, the psalmist finds solace in knowing that God's faithfulness endures, and he hopes to share the story of God's power and mighty acts with the generations to come. Today, you will be reminded of the timeless nature of your relationship with God. Regardless of your age or circumstances, you can always turn to God for strength, guidance, and companionship.
Just as the psalmist sought God's presence in his old age, you too can find comfort in knowing that God will never forsake you. Additionally, this verse encourages you to be mindful of the legacy you leave behind. The psalmist's desire to declare God's power to the next generation serves as a powerful reminder that you have a responsibility to pass on your faith and share the story of God's faithfulness with those who come after you. It challenges you to reflect on how you can be a source of inspiration and encouragement for future generations, ensuring that the message of God's love and power continues to resonate in the world.
