Shownotes

Astrology, often misconstrued as a mere whimsical pursuit, emerges in this discourse as a profound and intricate system that intertwines the celestial mechanics of planets with the temporal rhythms of human life. The speaker elucidates the essence of astrology, encapsulating it in two fundamental concepts: energy and timing. Through the lens of astrological practice, one begins to perceive patterns within the cosmic dance of the planets, particularly highlighting the significance of Saturn returns. This pivotal astrological event, occurring between the ages of 28 and 30, manifests as a crucial juncture in an individual's life, where decisions made can irrevocably alter the course of one's existence. As the speaker articulates, the Saturn return serves as a metaphorical fork in the road, compelling individuals to confront choices that delineate their future selves. This notion of transformation is further expounded upon with the introduction of subsequent seven-year cycles, wherein each phase brings forth its own challenges and opportunities for growth, beckoning personal evolution and introspection. Thus, the discussion not only demystifies the complexities of astrology but also imbues it with a sense of gravitas, positioning it as a reflective tool for navigating the human experience.

Speaker A:

Now, what is astrology?

Speaker A:

A quick answer, because, you know, I have people all the time who only heard of sun sign astrology in the newspaper.

Speaker A:

And so I have to explain astrology really quick because a lot of the times I'm on, I only have 20 minutes with somebody.

Speaker A:

So a quick answer to what is astrology?

Speaker A:

It's like a big clock and if I had to boil it down to two words, it's energy and timing.

Speaker A:

And so after being in astrology for a while and pulling up charts, you start to notice things.

Speaker A:

You start to remember things like placements.

Speaker A:

And when people say years, you remember where things are placed.

Speaker A:

So just imagine pulling up 20 charts of people born in between 88 and 91.

Speaker A:

You will see that they have their Saturn sign is in the sign of Capricorn.

Speaker A:

And I know this because that's actually around the year 89 is when I graduated.

Speaker A:

So I know when I hear people who were born around the time I graduated, they are currently in their Saturn return.

Speaker A:

And what is a Saturn return?

Speaker A:

Well, every year we have a birthday and that's the Earth goes around the sun one time and we celebrate it every year.

Speaker A:

That's when actually the sun is in the position of when we were born.

Speaker A:

Well, we also have returns for all the other planets.

Speaker A:

Saturn.

Speaker A:

It takes Saturn 28 to 30 years to go around the sun.

Speaker A:

And when that happens, we have a Saturn birthday per se.

Speaker A:

But this birthday is kind of different from the sun sign birthday.

Speaker A:

And the way I, the quick and easy way I explain a Saturn return is you kind of hit a fork in a road.

Speaker A:

And at this fork you have to make a decision.

Speaker A:

And when you make that decision, you will be a different person on the other side of that decision, right?

Speaker A:

Oh, and after your Saturn return, you ever heard of the seven year itch?

Speaker A:

Well, every seven and a half years we hit kind of like the square opposition to Saturn.

Speaker A:

So after your first Saturn return, every seven years you're gonna have like a little seven year itch.

Speaker A:

14 years you're gonna have the opposition, right?

Speaker A:

So after, so your first Saturn return is in between the ages of 28 and 30.

Speaker A:

Then your neck, your seven year itch will be in between the ages of 35 and 37.

Speaker A:

Then the next seven year itch is going to be in between 42 and 44.

Speaker A:

Next seven year is in between the ages of 49 and 51.

Speaker A:

And then this, you have your second Saturn return which will be in between the ages of 56 and 60.

Speaker A:

Why that big four year gap?

Speaker A:

Because if you put it's seven and a half years.

Speaker A:

So seven and a half.

Speaker A:

Seven and a half.

Speaker A:

So.

Speaker A:

And it's not the same for everybody.

Speaker A:

So it's going to hit within those age ranges.

Speaker A:

All right, so why am I talking about all of this?

Speaker A:

Well, today's rider just happened to be in the middle of his Saturn return.
