Dear Heavenly Father, today we come to you humbly asking you to cleanse us of our sins. Cleanse us of all the things within us that we are holding over our heads. Lord, we know that once we confess with our mouth that you are
that the old has been washed away, we have to believe that and receive it. All of the things that we did in our previous life, whether that previous life was yesterday or last year or a decade ago, Lord, those things are washed away when we proclaim that you are our Lord and savior, that we are in relationship with you, Lord.
So when we have those moments and we're holding the things of the past over our head, Lord, I ask you to remind us that you sent your son, your precious son to die on the cross for our sins. He was battered, he was bruised, he was beaten. Blood was running down his body so that we
don't have to beat ourselves up. We don't have to shed blood on our own account. We don't have to sacrifice our mental, emotional or spiritual health for things we have done in the past. So Lord, remind us today that we are a new creation. We are a new creature created in your image.
in your image and Lord we know that you only create beautiful, handsome, wonderful things. You don't create junk. You don't create bad people. You create whole people. People that each and every day strive to cleave closer to you, strive to be more like you. Until today,
Wesleyne (:
Lord, as we lay off our sins of the past, as we let them go, literally today, we are leaving them at the foot of the cross. We are saying the things that we have done before this moment, before today, are cleansed by your blood, your blood, Lord. We will no longer hold those things over our head. We will no longer
hold ourselves in bondage because we have been cleansed by your son's blood. Fill the gaps that still remain within us with the Holy Spirit. Fill our mind with your word. When we need a song, a tune to hum, allow us to have words from music that you have given us.
Allow us to release the thinking of the world. cleanse us, guide us, be with us. We love you so much. In your son Jesus's name. Amen.
