Shownotes

The Sun isn't the only planet that progresses — every planet does, but the ones worth tracking are the personal planets: Sun, Moon, Venus, Mars, and the Ascendant, since the outer planets move too slowly to matter in most charts. Each moves at a different speed — the progressed Moon shifts a full sign every two and a half years, Venus a little faster than the Sun, Mars half a degree a year — meaning your emotional experience, what you love, and what drives you all shift on completely different timelines than your core identity does. The progressed Moon ranks in the top three to watch, because the universe responds to feelings, not thoughts, and most people mistake the two for the same thing. Know thyself. Balance your energy.

Takeaways

  1. The progressed Moon moves through a full sign every two and a half years, meaning you emotionally experience every Moon sign's energy roughly once every 27-28 years.
  2. Venus (how you love and value) and Mars (what drives you) progress at their own separate speeds — what motivated you at 20 won't be what motivates you at 40.
  3. Thoughts and feelings are different things entirely — the progressed Moon matters most because it tracks where you are emotionally, and that's what actually shapes what you attract.

Transcripts

Speaker A:

That's a short example of how someone could start off at mile marker 20 Scorpio, and end up at mile marker 3 Aquarius.

Speaker A:

And also points the route in which this soul is taking to level up or evolve.

Speaker A:

Guess what?

Speaker A:

The sun is not the only planet that progresses through the chart.

Speaker A:

They all do.

Speaker A:

The ones to pay attention to are the personal charts.

Speaker A:

The Sun, Moon, Venus, Mars and Ascendant.

Speaker A:

nets are at late degrees like:

Speaker A:

And the changing of the signs and the transits to these points is where all the action is at.

Speaker A:

Each one of these planets move at different speeds.

Speaker A:

So some planets progress faster than others.

Speaker A:

For instance, the Moon moves much faster than the Sun.

Speaker A:

Whereas one year of life represents one degree of movement in the progressed chart of the sun, one degree from for the Moon represents one month in the progressed chart.

Speaker A:

Let's go back to 30 degrees in each sign.

Speaker A:

If there is 30 degrees in each sun and one month is one degree for the Moon, that means in a year's time the progressed moon will have moved 12 degrees in your chart.

Speaker A:

In two years it has moved 24 degrees and six months.

Speaker A:

Added to that, it will move through a whole sign.

Speaker A:

It takes 30 years for the sun to move through one sign, but it takes the Moon two and a half years to move the same distance.

Speaker A:

What does this mean?

Speaker A:

In that same 30 years it takes you to move your sun sign through a sign, you will experience life emotionally from every sign.

Speaker A:

Energy from the Moon expression you will feel the sad sun, Taurus Moon for two and a half years.

Speaker A:

The sad Sun, Gemini moon for two and a half years, the sad sun, Cancer Moon for two and a half years, and so on and so on.

Speaker A:

That you will experience every Moon sign emotionally.

Speaker A:

From that sag point of view, the Moon cycle takes about 27 to 28 years.

Speaker A:

Venus, how you show love and what you value progresses slightly faster than the Earth at a little over one, a little over one degree a year.

Speaker A:

How and what you love and value will not be the same at age 18 that it will be at 48.

Speaker A:

Mars progresses a half of one degree a year.

Speaker A:

So Mars moves one degree every two years, which is slower than the Sun.

Speaker A:

If your Mars is at 20 degrees.

Speaker A:

Aries, if it takes two years to move a degree.

Speaker A:

When you get around 20 years old, what once drove you to get out of bed will start shifting.

Speaker A:

What turns you on?

Speaker A:

What gets you going will take a shift from Aries energy to Taurus.

Speaker A:

You may start thinking about money and security.

Speaker A:

Your values will shift.

Speaker A:

You may have once rushed into things Aries Cardinal Fire.

Speaker A:

Now you find yourself being more grounded fixed down to Earth Taurus.

Speaker A:

Now it's really hard to put a ranking on what is most important in any given chart.

Speaker A:

You will have periods where other planets energy is more active than other parts.

Speaker A:

I mean, come on, if everything was active at one time, we would never get anything done.

Speaker A:

With that being said, I will say paying attention to the progressed moon is like in the top three.

Speaker A:

It really lets you know where you are currently at emotionally and things you could be dealing with.

Speaker A:

Why is it in my top three?

Speaker A:

Because how and what you feel is what life is really about.

Speaker A:

Most people mistake thoughts for feelings.

Speaker A:

They are two totally different things.

Speaker A:

I can think one way about something and feel totally different about the same thing.

Speaker A:

Have you ever thought a action was wrong but justified?

Speaker A:

I know people who think OJ did it but glad he got off.

Speaker A:

What they think he did was wrong but the acquittal was justified because a black man finally beat the system.

Speaker A:

I believe in law of attraction.

Speaker A:

We attract what we give off.

Speaker A:

The universe responds to feelings, not thoughts.

Speaker A:

That's why I feel knowing where you are emotionally is really important.
