Brendan:

In today's podcast, we're going to look at whether Boron supplements

Brendan:

increase testosterone or not.

Brendan:

Boron supplements are a great way to enhance human body metabolism.

Brendan:

From boosting testosterone levels to blocking excess estrogen and SHBG.

Brendan:

They help you achieve optimal health and fitness with ease.

Brendan:

Do Boron Supplements Increase Testosterone?

Brendan:

Can you imagine that boron can enhance free testosterone levels by up to 28.3%.

Brendan:

When a sample of 18 to 29 year olds was given 10 milligrams of boron per day for

Brendan:

one week, they experienced on average a 28.3% rise in free testosterone.

Brendan:

Similarly when individuals were given 10 milligrams of boron every day for four

Brendan:

weeks in another experiment, this showed an 11.4% increase in total testosterone.

Brendan:

So how is this possible?

Brendan:

Boron has been observed to lower SHBG levels known as sex hormone

Brendan:

binding globulin, which results in higher testosterone levels.

Brendan:

The reduced SHBG allows more sex hormones to be free and

Brendan:

available in the bloodstream.

Brendan:

This also helps with muscle growth and recovery and enhances strength.

Brendan:

Researchers have reported that taking 10 milligrams of Boron per day for four weeks

Brendan:

leads to an increased free testosterone level, alongside a 39% drop in estrogen.

Brendan:

However, it's important to note that this is not sustainable over longer periods.

Brendan:

In a second four week study, researchers saw an increase in estrogen levels.

Brendan:

This implies that while Boron can suppress estrogen and prevent man

Brendan:

boobs in the short term, it has the reverse effect in the long run.

Brendan:

As a result it's recommended to cycle Boron for two weeks on and

Brendan:

one week off to avoid Estrogen levels rising unnecessarily.

Brendan:

Another recent study on 13 participants with low vitamin D levels, found that

Brendan:

giving them six milligrams of Boron per day from calcium fructoborate for 60

Brendan:

days resulted in a 19.6% increase in vitamin D levels, a 56% increase in DHEA.

Brendan:

a 29.5% increase in free testosterone.

Brendan:

With all these elements combined, it's possible to obtain a mineral capable

Brendan:

of enhancing testosterone levels in a variety of health in natural ways.

Brendan:

There are also other health benefits of boron.

Brendan:

Boron helps to raise natural testosterone levels, but it may

Brendan:

also be used for other benefits.

Brendan:

A small study of 20 people showed that 50% of them had improved symptoms

Brendan:

of osteoporosis disease after taking six milligrams of boron a day.

Brendan:

This has not been replicated anywhere else but researchers think this is

Brendan:

because all the participants were suffering from symptoms of osteoporosis

Brendan:

and were not in normal health.

Brendan:

So boron does not really work unless you're experiencing symptoms.

Brendan:

On the other hand, boron will work behind the scenes to keep

Brendan:

your bones and joints healthy.

Brendan:

But it's not just limited to osteoporosis.

Brendan:

Boron helps to make stronger teeth and prevents tooth decay.

Brendan:

It improves nutrient absorption to improve body functioning.

Brendan:

It aids in the development and maintenance of a healthy sex hormone balance.

Brendan:

Boron reduces inflammation associated with breast cancer,

Brendan:

obesity, insulin resistance, lung cancer, heart disease, depression,

Brendan:

and a variety of other illnesses.

Brendan:

Boron improves blood flow by metabolizing vitamins and minerals of a diet.

Brendan:

It speeds up wound healing.

Brendan:

It decreases oxidative stress.

Brendan:

It increases fibroblast activity.

Brendan:

It helps you get more out of vitamin D.

Brendan:

It improves cognition performance.

Brendan:

Boron increases the biological half-life, which means you'll stay healthy longer.

Brendan:

So how can we increase Boron levels naturally?

Brendan:

Well, boron supplements are available for testosterone deficiency.

Brendan:

But there are other ways to increase the availability of this mineral in

Brendan:

your body, including through food.

Brendan:

Avocados are excellent sources of boron.

Brendan:

You can eat as many as five of them and still get enough bore on

Brendan:

to meet your daily requirement.

Brendan:

Apart from avocados, you may also try walnuts, apricots, raisins,

Brendan:

beans, prunes, broccoli, almonds, chickpeas, brazil nuts, and bananas.

Brendan:

The recommended boron dosage in supplements is that it

Brendan:

should be taken in moderation.

Brendan:

Excessive amounts can cause side effects, including constipation and indigestion.

Brendan:

Boron doses of less than 20 milligrams per day are generally regarded as safe.

Brendan:

It's advisable to start with three to 10 milligrams of boron daily.

Brendan:

If you're suffering from low testosterone levels, increase the

Brendan:

dose to 10 milligrams per day.

Brendan:

But do not use bore on for more than two weeks for optimal testosterone results.

Brendan:

Taking excess boron can cause various side effects like vomiting, nausea, diarrhea,

Brendan:

and also can damage blood vessels.

Brendan:

So do not consume more than 20 milligrams of boron in a day.

Brendan:

So should you include boron supplements in your diet?

Brendan:

As we have discussed, boron is a prime example of a natural

Brendan:

mineral that can help to boost testosterone production in many ways.

Brendan:

Some use boron on its own.

Brendan:

Others use it as part of a complex formulation.

Brendan:

And complex formulations are thought to have a higher chance of success.

Brendan:

Boron may be natural, but limited use is recommended.

Brendan:

Use it for two weeks at a time.

Brendan:

Abuse can trigger excessive estrogen toxicity and other side effects.

Brendan:

Supplements provide better control over your dosage overall.

Brendan:

You can choose to take simple boron supplements or more complex formulations.

Brendan:

Many like the complex formulations, because they're purposely designed

Brendan:

to optimize your testosterone while eliminating the risks of side effects.

Brendan:

And that's all from Borates Today.
