How can the lessons of brain plasticity help our intuition?
I was reading a book on neuroscience and brain plasticity. One study described that being singularly focused while learning new information is mapped faster and sticks with us longer. I was reminded of how much this is like opening up to our intuition.
Key Points:
- By removing all distractions and concentrating on what we are learning, we pick it up faster, and it stays with us longer.
- By allowing the information to create a clear path, we can recall it faster and easier.
- Intuition is similar to learning a new skill or information. When we stop overthinking and judging ourselves, we can recognize our intuition faster and easier.
Treat intuition like any other skill. When we use it often, it is easy to do it automatically. When we stop using it, we forget the details, but it comes back to us. Intuition is always there. It never disappears, but it requires us to clear away distractions to relax into what we already know.
Until next time, keep it simple, be at ease with yourself, trust your intuition with light the way.
