When we accepted Jesus, we were born again spiritually. Our ability to walk in the holy nature (and not in the flesh) comes from the presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives. The extent to which the nature of God is displayed in our character is directly related to the extent to which we ‘yield’ (‘give way’, ‘surrender’) to the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. It’s not by might, not by power, but by God’s Spirit! There are three aspects of God's nature which ought to be displayed in our lives..

• Love - the unmeritied, pure, sacrifical love desiring best for another, rooted in mercy and grace
• Joy - is a treasure inside us not able to be stolen easily
• Peace - is a sense of wellbeing resulting from having peace with God

Ps Steu explains these in detail along with scriptures confirming these fruits of the Holy Spirit. He prays for fresh revelations in all of us being children of God who carry the holy nature of our Heavenly Father, with a committment to walking in that holy nature, not just knowing that we carry it - love, joy, and peace.
