Martin "Marty" Parent knew that if he didn't go into the military, he'd end up getting into "some kind of trouble" back home. So, he did! After 6 years, mostly over seas, he returned home to where his parents had moved, The Adirondacks. Looking for where his life would lead, he took notice of his brother and sister-in-law who were operating a local convenience store and was intrigued by the idea of entrepreneurship. As luck would have it.. a spot was about to open up right smack dab in the middle of Inlet, NY.
