Unknown:

wanted to share. And now I have to tell you, a Lisa Ellis we met

Unknown:

several years ago and really became fast friends and she she

Unknown:

went you're gonna find out more about our business. I don't know

Unknown:

if you all remember when I talked about having doing a

Unknown:

brand shoot for my company and my brand. And I had never done

Unknown:

that before, and which was a transformational experience in

Unknown:

itself. And all of a sudden I was like I don't have to think

Unknown:

about clothes.

Unknown:

I don't think about clothes I do now, but I didn't then. And so I

Unknown:

reached out to my friend because I've worked with her before in

Unknown:

many different things like she has helped me transform my

Unknown:

closet. She has helped me transform my art like she helps

Unknown:

me transform lots of things. Let me just say that and I

Unknown:

And I thought, you know, she's really stylish and by the way,

Unknown:

she's also a stylist. So can you help me and she did. I realized

Unknown:

throughout from Elisa like I had no idea what what season I was

Unknown:

the colors that worked well on me. And I tended to wear a lot

Unknown:

of black which we laughed so hard today as because she and I

Unknown:

can see each other and I'm like, I know I'm not supposed to wear

Unknown:

black but you know, it's Friday and

Unknown:

I've just got just got you know, hustlers my love language

Unknown:

sweatshirt on and it's black. Anyway, what happened in working

Unknown:

with her for me is she wasn't, she didn't have an agenda other

Unknown:

than to help me transform into being confident in the clothes

Unknown:

that I wear. And in this brand, shoot and beyond. And so what I

Unknown:

loved is that she didn't tell me what to do. She helped me figure

Unknown:

out like my colors and my style. And her biggest question to me,

Unknown:

which I thought was brilliant was how do you feel and she'd

Unknown:

watched me and if I was if I like hesitated, she's like, take

Unknown:

it off. We're not doing it. You know? Because it was like you

Unknown:

have to love You gotta love it and you know in a second you

Unknown:

know it in a second. Okay. And I will tell you when I showed up

Unknown:

for that very first brand shoot, and I had on my clothes that

Unknown:

Elisa, this this dress that is the most amazing color. I felt

Unknown:

like me and I felt amazing. And I like have never looked back.

Unknown:

It was a pivotal moment in my life, which is why I wanted to

Unknown:

bring her on because transformations happen in so

Unknown:

many different ways. And one of the ones I confidence is

Unknown:

something that I definitely choose day to day to day but

Unknown:

when it when it comes to certain things that are outside your

Unknown:

comfort zone, sometimes you don't have it, you just don't. I

Unknown:

had never done a brand shoot before. And I was way outside my

Unknown:

comfort zone and Elisa was like instrumental in helping me be

Unknown:

confident and ready to rock and have so much joy doing it. So,

Unknown:

Alisa, I'm going to I'm going to tell you a little bit about

Unknown:

Elisa and then bring her on and she'll share a little bit more

Unknown:

than we are going to have a great conversation. So Elisa

Unknown:

Ellis is a wardrobe stylist, a speaker, a best selling author,

Unknown:

and an online course creator. For close to a decade, Elisa has

Unknown:

been transforming closets and the lives of her clients in the

Unknown:

US and abroad. And that is no joke. She truly does this. Her

Unknown:

sense of style is what sets her apart from her peers. Yes. And

Unknown:

her clients can't get enough of her expertise. Amen. That's what

Unknown:

I have to say right there. Elisa is an interested in trends. She

Unknown:

is incredibly passionate about helping her clients look and

Unknown:

feel their very best, and works with them to go from frustrated

Unknown:

to fabulous by replacing outdated outfits with timeless

Unknown:

pieces that can be easily coordinated to wear for any

Unknown:

occasion. So true. She believes personal styling is more than a

Unknown:

wardrobe haul. It's a total transformation that introduces

Unknown:

you to your inner awesomeness. Hello, the person that's

Unknown:

confident, effortless, effortless, effortless, my words

Unknown:

effortlessly stylish, and takes more risks for their dreams.

Unknown:

That's what she does. Elisa also works with businesses to help

Unknown:

them guide and educate their teams about presenting

Unknown:

themselves in ways that help them reach their highest

Unknown:

potential. I'm really excited. So thank you for letting me you

Unknown:

know, stumble with my words just a little bit. I really want you

Unknown:

to hear this. She really helps teams about presenting

Unknown:

themselves in ways that help them reach their highest

Unknown:

potential. It's so true and so important. So whether you are a

Unknown:

business owner and executive in corporate and management are an

Unknown:

entrepreneur, Elisa believes that how you show up matters,

Unknown:

and she's passionate about how to up your style game so that

Unknown:

you're more productive, attractive, more attract more

Unknown:

six more, so you're more attractive that you attract more

Unknown:

success. We're just giggling it's it's me. It's Hi, it's me.

Unknown:

Okay, listen, so you're more productive, attract more success

Unknown:

are memorable and confident. She does all that it is so

Unknown:

incredibly true and more. Welcome to the podcast, Alisa. I

Unknown:

am so incredibly thrilled you're here. Yay. And I'm so glad to be

Unknown:

here. Thank you for having me. Yes. Yes. Lisa, thank you. I

Unknown:

love your bio, so much. Every bit of that is so true. And

Unknown:

absolutely 100% has been my experience. And I love you know,

Unknown:

I just see your values come out in it and like where you stand

Unknown:

with people and businesses. It's so incredibly true. So I know I

Unknown:

stumbled over my words a little bit but that's just because I am

Unknown:

So flippin excited, though. Lisa's here. So, thank you so

Unknown:

much. I want to ask you the very first question because I know

Unknown:

you and I really connect on transformation, I want to know

Unknown:

what does transformation mean to you? transformation for me is

Unknown:

really about for myself, and for helping my clients find their

Unknown:

inner competence. You know, we all need reminders that we're

Unknown:

beautiful and capable. And when we have that, we're more likely

Unknown:

to go after our dreams and take more risks. And it's just making

Unknown:

those small chips that kind of have this domino effect, and it

Unknown:

snowballs, and it makes huge transformations in your life.

Unknown:

Absolutely. And I think it's so important what you just said,

Unknown:

it's like, even these small transformations, there, it is a

Unknown:

snowball effect. And it is amazing. Like, right, like, it's

Unknown:

amazing what starts to open up from that. It's, it's really

Unknown:

incredible. I just shared a lot about where you have helped me

Unknown:

personally, in transformations with self confidence and really

Unknown:

feeling great, like at all times, where have you helped

Unknown:

create transformation in your life recently? Where have you

Unknown:

created transformation not helped? Where have you

Unknown:

personally created transformation in your life

Unknown:

recently? And what have you learned? So I recently it's, you

Unknown:

know, you know, this, but in the last 18 months, we moved from

Unknown:

California to Texas, and I basically had to recreate and

Unknown:

restart my business in a whole new city that I only knew one

Unknown:

person, two people. And so that was really scary. And I had to

Unknown:

really chunk it down into small pieces. And, you know, if I'm

Unknown:

honest, I listen to your podcasts when I walk. And so I

Unknown:

always get tidbits about, okay, how do I do this and, and

Unknown:

choosing faith over fear and just learning, you know,

Unknown:

building my new clientele base and a new space. And reminding

Unknown:

myself, I can do this, and finding really small pieces to

Unknown:

bite off so that you just keep doing something consistently

Unknown:

every day, every week, every month. And that was a huge, a

Unknown:

huge shift for me, you know, moving to a new place is hard,

Unknown:

but then moving to a new place and then restarting a business.

Unknown:

I mean, I kept my business going, but I was trying to

Unknown:

rebuild in a new city, where I didn't have a client base or

Unknown:

know anybody. And then I've recently moved into a new niche

Unknown:

of speaking to small to middle market businesses and

Unknown:

corporations. And that's, you know, if I'm honest, terrifying,

Unknown:

but I'm doing it and showing up and it's not perfect, but I'm

Unknown:

working on it. Yes, it's so true. I a couple I want to say

Unknown:

this might have been in February, one of the podcasts

Unknown:

that it was the one on fear and courage, right, like fear and

Unknown:

courage, like you just said, it's, you know, I've added

Unknown:

something new to my business speaking. And it's terrifying,

Unknown:

but exhilarating, really at the same time. And it's helping, you

Unknown:

know, create an even larger impact. And I'll tell you what,

Unknown:

I've been clinging to this quote, I'm not kidding. It's, it

Unknown:

was Franklin Roosevelt. And he said, courage is not the absence

Unknown:

of fear. Rather, it's the assessment of something more

Unknown:

important than the fear. And I really heard that from you.

Unknown:

Because it's like, listen, I added speaking in, and I, you

Unknown:

know, you had your business, but you are now starting over and

Unknown:

like upgrading your business really in a whole new place. So

Unknown:

not only making new friends, establishing yourself and

Unknown:

community, but like upgrading your business there. It is scary

Unknown:

and terrifying. And then you go ahead and add on speaking all

Unknown:

the things, I have to say watching you do that. What I

Unknown:

noticed about you is that even if you were afraid you like

Unknown:

always suited up and showed up, right? Like every time you were

Unknown:

confident. But also, the other thing I noticed is that you

Unknown:

would be very vulnerable and authentic about it too. Right?

Unknown:

I'm talking about on social media, I'm going to share with

Unknown:

you all her social media so you can follow her because that is

Unknown:

something that I appreciated was your vulnerability, right?

Unknown:

Because I think that that in itself helps people create

Unknown:

transformations as you're transforming and sharing about

Unknown:

it helps people. Sure. I mean, it's not it's not always easy.

Unknown:

And it's not always how you think it's going to be Yeah, it

Unknown:

might be completely different, but it can still be fabulous and

Unknown:

wonderful. Yeah, yeah. And you made that you made that happen.

Unknown:

fabulous and wonderful. Even on the days it wasn't easy.

Unknown:

Absolutely. Yeah, absolutely. So can you tell our friends that

Unknown:

are listening? How do you help your clients create

Unknown:

transformation? You know, I think one of the first steps is

Unknown:

letting my clients know that style is not a size. It's not a

Unknown:

number on a scale. It's not the number in the clothes. It's

Unknown:

about you finding things that work for you. Some

Unknown:

Many people think that or have this idea in their head that a

Unknown:

stylist is a celebrity stylist, or we're going to put you in

Unknown:

things that are at way outside your comfort zone are very avant

Unknown:

garde. And really, for me, it's about meeting my clients where

Unknown:

they're at, and finding out what works for them. And just like

Unknown:

you said, when we work together, I really believe that when you

Unknown:

put something on, you can instantly see if you feel

Unknown:

amazing and confident and beautiful in it. And you stand a

Unknown:

little taller, as opposed to when you put something on,

Unknown:

you're not comfortable in, you literally shrink. And so it's

Unknown:

really about, you know, I can tell my clients all day, you

Unknown:

look great and blue, you look great red, but at the end of the

Unknown:

day, if you feel confident wearing a black shirt, then wear

Unknown:

the black shirt, you know, it's about finding what you shine in.

Unknown:

Because really, when you're more confident and authentic,

Unknown:

especially if you're an entrepreneur or in business, you

Unknown:

are going to attract more clients, you are going to be

Unknown:

more memorable, you are going to be more in demand because you're

Unknown:

showing up as your best self. And really, that's how I try and

Unknown:

work with clients is to meet them where they're at and, and

Unknown:

show them what's possible and help them find pieces. They're

Unknown:

confident and fit within their budget. Mm hmm. Yeah,

Unknown:

absolutely. And that that was my experience of you. I will I

Unknown:

remember when we were trying on clothes, and you taught me how

Unknown:

to load so called Is it a French tap? What what did you teach

Unknown:

French Tech brands just about giving your body proportion?

Unknown:

Yes, yes. And remember, I'm like, no, no, no, Elisa, I

Unknown:

cannot like I there. There's a little pooch right there.

Unknown:

There's I cannot and you. And this is the thing I love about

Unknown:

Elisa is Elisa is loving and direct. She does not sugarcoat,

Unknown:

she tells you the truth straight away. And she said, listen, it

Unknown:

may it draws attention to that when you're not doing it. And

Unknown:

she showed me how to do it. And I've never gone back. I'm like,

Unknown:

let's keep talking and Buddha do right. And it's so funny. I do

Unknown:

stand up straighter. I really do. I don't feel like I'm Hi,

Unknown:

this is me. This is me. Hello. And Mike, you really helped me

Unknown:

see that. And so I love that you remind people that it is you

Unknown:

know, style fashion is not about a number on a scale or this or

Unknown:

that. I think we can look our best at any size. Right? And it

Unknown:

absolutely, yeah, it's it changes so much for us. And I

Unknown:

also loved what you said that, you know, we show up as our best

Unknown:

selves, we will be memorable. Oh, that's so great. 100% Yeah,

Unknown:

I really believe that style is style is a way to be

Unknown:

unforgettable without saying a word. And so when I'm working

Unknown:

with clients, and entrepreneurs and people in business, how are

Unknown:

you standing out? Are you unforgettable? What kind of

Unknown:

statement is your style making? And it's, you know, it seems so

Unknown:

simple, but it is really it's just about asking yourself that

Unknown:

question and making making small shifts that, you know, get that

Unknown:

transformation on its way. And it's not a one and done either.

Unknown:

I mean, my style has changed from when I was 42. When I was

Unknown:

45 to when I turned 52 When I moved from California to Texas,

Unknown:

it's it's ever evolving. And I think sometimes we get stuck,

Unknown:

because we think well, no, I this is what I wear, well, you

Unknown:

don't have to wear that. Or you can try something new. And I but

Unknown:

it's scary, right? Especially now. So sizing is such a

Unknown:

challenging thing, when you go shopping to find things, you

Unknown:

might think that you're an eight or 12 or 20, whatever it is, but

Unknown:

really, you have to realize that the sizing standards have kind

Unknown:

of gone out the window, and you could be an eight, but you might

Unknown:

fit into anything from a six to a 10 or 12. And if you're like,

Unknown:

you know, like me, I've been everything from a 10 to a 18

Unknown:

plus. And if I'm a 16, I could be a 14 or 12 or an 18 or 20. It

Unknown:

just depends on where I'm trying to close on and I have to detach

Unknown:

myself from that number that we're so attached to. Oh, that

Unknown:

is so brilliant. Detach yourself from the number that you're

Unknown:

attached to. I love that. And it's also not allowing somebody

Unknown:

else's number to define you, you know, which is why it's so

Unknown:

lovely. Yes. Oh, it's so great. I'm curious, in your in your

Unknown:

business and in your work with helping people transform. Are

Unknown:

there challenges and if so, what are they that you experience?

Unknown:

Sure, absolutely. I think people have preconceived ideas, just

Unknown:

like I said earlier of what a stylist is, but really just kind

Unknown:

of how you shared your idea of the front tuck. Right? And yes,

Unknown:

you were terrified of your belt, your stomach area. We we all

Unknown:

have these areas like I had clients that don't wear short

Unknown:

sleeves because they don't like their arms. I have clients that

Unknown:

cover their legs because they don't like their legs. i You

Unknown:

know everyone has this idea in their head of what they

Unknown:

shouldn't wear or can't do or won't fit. And so those are

Unknown:

really the challenges that I have to work my way through and

Unknown:

jump over, because a lot of times, they're only in our

Unknown:

heads, right? I've worked with clients who are plus size. And

Unknown:

they are looking for pants. And so I had them try on, let's say,

Unknown:

a pair of skinny jeans. Well, they think, Well, I can't wear

Unknown:

that, because I'm not skinny, and I'm not petite. But they

Unknown:

were, you know, they were like, five, two, and the skinny jeans

Unknown:

were the perfect pair that fit them. But I don't have all that

Unknown:

negativity or preconceived notions in my mind. You know, I

Unknown:

have my own, like not wearing plaid blazers, I just tried on a

Unknown:

plaid blazer because I wanted to see what it would look like

Unknown:

because in my mind, I'm a plus size I'm not supposed to wear,

Unknown:

you know, crazy patterns and all those things. And honestly, I

Unknown:

love crazy patterns. And so just about moving past those

Unknown:

preconceived ideas of what we think we can or cannot wear.

Unknown:

That's really one of the biggest challenges I have. Yes. And I

Unknown:

think that in I think it's so true, because I know just me

Unknown:

personally working with you, I absolutely had preconceived, you

Unknown:

know, things about what I thought or and I didn't think

Unknown:

now, this was another really, really pivotal and eye opening

Unknown:

moment. And I don't know if I've ever shared this with you. But I

Unknown:

remember meeting you for that initial time we went shopping.

Unknown:

And I said to you, I went because we hadn't seen each

Unknown:

other in person for a while. And I'm like, oh, Lisa, you look so

Unknown:

great. Have you lost some weight? You look so great. And

Unknown:

you said I have no idea. And I was like, Whoa, it was a I know.

Unknown:

It's silly. And I remember I don't like I don't know if I've

Unknown:

shared this with you before. But it was a game changing moment,

Unknown:

right? Because in that moment, you were really standing in

Unknown:

absolutely that you believe like, I have no idea, right? And

Unknown:

it set the tone for that session. Because even though I

Unknown:

know you really well, and I'm really comfortable with you, I

Unknown:

was super nervous. I was super nervous and like, feeling like

Unknown:

I'm gonna have to explain some things or this or that. And in

Unknown:

that moment, I was like, game on Game on, like, here we go. So

Unknown:

it's interesting, too, that I think sometimes that just like

Unknown:

the messages that we send out when we're so grounded and

Unknown:

rooted in what we believe, can create transformation in a

Unknown:

nanosecond for someone because I know it did for me in that

Unknown:

moment. From then on. I was like, yes, absolutely. I have no

Unknown:

idea either, right? I was so, so happy that you were

Unknown:

uncomfortable. I love hearing that. And, and really, I think

Unknown:

it's just comes from a place of, you know, I'm happy with where

Unknown:

I'm at. And and, and I you know, I've learned to be comfortable

Unknown:

with my own body and my shape no matter what size it is, you

Unknown:

know, anywhere from who knows, but, but also because it makes

Unknown:

it easier for me to then guide people no matter what their

Unknown:

size. I mean, I work with people from zero to 22 plus, and, look,

Unknown:

I've been in a lot of those sizes. And I know what it's like

Unknown:

to go try things on and nothing fits in your closet. And I know

Unknown:

what it's like to have three to five sizes in your closet and be

Unknown:

to be waiting till you lose the five pounds, the 10 pounds or

Unknown:

until you're a size, whatever. I mean, we as women, I think more

Unknown:

so than men definitely put our lives on hold. And we wait. And

Unknown:

what I've learned is we're unconsciously or consciously,

Unknown:

you know, subconsciously telling ourselves that we're going to be

Unknown:

worth more in the future, when we lose the weight when we're

Unknown:

the size and that's really kind of scary and powerful. Because

Unknown:

why are we waiting? What who says we'll be worth more if

Unknown:

we're a size eight versus a 10 or a 12 versus or you know,

Unknown:

whatever size it is or whatever weight it is. I'm I'm gonna live

Unknown:

now, you know, I'm over 60 and I'm ready to do it all. Yes,

Unknown:

yes. Yes. Do y'all see why have her on the podcast today?

Unknown:

Because this is a podcast about not waiting. It's leaders don't

Unknown:

wait we create and exactly what you just said Elisa is why are

Unknown:

we waiting we can create right now? What like right now there's

Unknown:

no, this is what we have actually is right now. So what

Unknown:

do we want to create right now and to really bust up that myth?

Unknown:

I think that a lot of women will make up you know about

Unknown:

themselves like I just need to lose five pounds or 10 pounds or

Unknown:

whatever it is before I can. I think the other thing that was

Unknown:

so instrumental when we were working on my closet, and you

Unknown:

were really clear like what fits now, what fits now. And the when

Unknown:

I let go of some things that I was hanging on, y'all I felt

Unknown:

well

Unknown:

later, okay, and at least you can't see it right now. But I

Unknown:

can't she is nodding her head because I bet you experienced

Unknown:

that with your clients all the time. Absolutely, people, people

Unknown:

tell that to me all the time, they feel literally lighter. And

Unknown:

it's this. It's this weight that's just lifted. And it's not

Unknown:

just the weight that's lifted, but it's like, oh, now I can go.

Unknown:

Now here's what's next. It's leaving that weight behind, and

Unknown:

then moving forward with the new with the transformation with

Unknown:

what's next. And it's really can be life changing. Oh, 100% 100%.

Unknown:

It's really true. I mean, I've experienced it myself, over and

Unknown:

over in the different times we work together. And we've talked

Unknown:

a little bit about where there are challenges, how do you

Unknown:

specifically help somebody overcome them? I know, I shared

Unknown:

a couple of things that you might not have even realized,

Unknown:

you said, that helped me like, you know, overcome, but you I

Unknown:

know must have some specific ways you help people overcome

Unknown:

those objections that they have about themselves, so they so

Unknown:

that they can stretch into their confidence. Sure, absolutely, we

Unknown:

definitely part of the process is trying on a number of

Unknown:

different things, right. To test the waters, I usually have

Unknown:

clients try things that are a little bit outside their comfort

Unknown:

zone. Let's see how it looks right. Because we've never tried

Unknown:

it before and trying things in different sizes. You know,

Unknown:

someone might not be used to wearing prints or bright colors,

Unknown:

but let's just try a little bit of color. Let's try a different

Unknown:

size, a different brand that works in their price point. And

Unknown:

then having them see themselves as their best self, right,

Unknown:

because we entrepreneurs, people in business, corporate, we all

Unknown:

want to help our clients, our connections, but we have to be

Unknown:

willing to show up for ourselves, right. And so it's

Unknown:

taking that leap of faith that you're worth it, that you can

Unknown:

try new things, do new things be this new person you see yourself

Unknown:

as. And so it's about doing that in small, small shifts, making

Unknown:

that transformation a little bit at a time, a lot of clients

Unknown:

aren't ready to buy, you know, a whole new wardrobe. And you

Unknown:

don't have to sometimes it's just about buying the one

Unknown:

blouse, or the pair of pants that fits or the skirt or an

Unknown:

outfit right and seeing how much more confidently you show up. I

Unknown:

do this challenge. I call it the no legging challenge. Oh, for

Unknown:

clients, right? So so especially pant during the pandemic and

Unknown:

post pandemic, people are still working from home only

Unknown:

virtually. And so I say you, you have to get up and get dressed

Unknown:

in real close quote unquote, even though you have nowhere to

Unknown:

go, and you're you know, not leaving the house you to put on

Unknown:

real clothes, and you can't wear leggings. And what my clients or

Unknown:

potential clients realize is, oh my gosh, I get so much more

Unknown:

done. I'm more productive, I feel better about myself. I'm

Unknown:

excited about what's coming up in the day, I'm ready to go out.

Unknown:

Just that simple shift of putting on real clothes, and

Unknown:

taking care of yourself and your own details is a huge shift that

Unknown:

they we don't realize it's a transformation. And then they're

Unknown:

excited because they feel so much better. And they have more

Unknown:

confidence. And it's like I said a snowball effect in that little

Unknown:

shift just changes so many things in your day and your

Unknown:

life. And so those are some of the things I do to kind of

Unknown:

challenge my clients and get them, get them where they need

Unknown:

to go. And I love that you give challenges, right? Because it

Unknown:

gives it does have the what effect? What right, like no

Unknown:

leggings, right? Like, wait, why? Right? Yeah, it's really

Unknown:

hard for some of them. Yeah, but the challenge is give that

Unknown:

opportunity to experience something different. Like you're

Unknown:

really helping people try on and see what fits for them. Right so

Unknown:

that they can experience something new. And it's

Unknown:

interesting because I can see where you have you know, you

Unknown:

have a vision for people and that you but but your agenda is

Unknown:

them that you can see what's possible for them and so being

Unknown:

able to give challenges and that's why I love working with

Unknown:

you so much because it's it's literally beyond just finding an

Unknown:

outfit. You know what I mean? It's it's so it's so beyond it

Unknown:

makes me think of the pink dress. You know the one I'm

Unknown:

talking about? So when we met and all of a sudden I got the

Unknown:

the what do we call it the the board? Look board. Thank you the

Unknown:

look board, the UCM not

Unknown:

that's why I have one, the look board on some possibilities for

Unknown:

the brand shoot and there was this dress and I was like hey,

Unknown:

oh my gosh, yes, please. Let's get this one. But then I have

Unknown:

this moment of like, this is going to be like here comes

Unknown:

Kelly because you can't miss this dress. It's fuchsia. It's

Unknown:

fantastic. It's fabulous and you can

Unknown:

Don't miss it. And I was like, Huh. And I don't know, remember,

Unknown:

at least I was like, I love it. But is it too much? You're like,

Unknown:

it's you. It's you. Yeah. And so now when that shows up in any

Unknown:

social media that I do, or any marketing that I do, I will

Unknown:

always get. I love that. Like, there's always a compliment when

Unknown:

I wear it out, because I didn't just wear it for the brand shoe.

Unknown:

But when I wear it out, it's like, and I put it on and just,

Unknown:

lets go like I feel like me and had you not challenged me to to

Unknown:

go there. I would have missed that moment. And so many other

Unknown:

moments and opportunities to shine. It was incredible.

Unknown:

Absolutely. Well, and that's that's in it right there. Right?

Unknown:

You put it on? And you knew, you just said let's go like that.

Unknown:

That dress makes you feel amazing. confident and people

Unknown:

don't realize that the clothes can do that. Absolutely. You

Unknown:

know, so often I hear from clients. Well, I have that. I

Unknown:

don't really love it. Well, I have that. I don't wear that.

Unknown:

Well, I have. Why, you know life is short. Why not have a closet

Unknown:

full of clothes that you love that make you feel amazing? And

Unknown:

help you get out the door? And five? Yes, why not? Yes, yes.

Unknown:

And don't wait. Leaders don't wait, create that 100% Why not?

Unknown:

Like Elisa says, Lisa, what's the best part about your job?

Unknown:

You know, lately, the best part about the job is hearing from

Unknown:

clients like you, I got this lovely email from a client I

Unknown:

worked with in the UK. And she was a plus side client. And she

Unknown:

was really struggling. We did a closet edit to go through what

Unknown:

was working, what wasn't working. And at the end of it,

Unknown:

she sent me this lovely email and she said, You know, I

Unknown:

realized that I could be beautiful. I could I could look

Unknown:

good. And she didn't go out and spend a lot of money. You know,

Unknown:

she went to a vintage stores. She got some jewelry, maybe a

Unknown:

couple of tops. And she said that her postman told her she

Unknown:

looked stunning. And her hairdresser called her

Unknown:

glamorous. And it just made me smile and teary eyed because it

Unknown:

was her realizing that she could still be beautiful and look

Unknown:

good. And so she was changing how she was dressing. She was

Unknown:

getting up for herself in the morning. And those little chips

Unknown:

created this huge transformation in this woman's life. And it was

Unknown:

something so simple. But she needed help with that. Right.

Unknown:

And so I get to do that. And I was just touched and I love I

Unknown:

love that about my job. Yes, it's it's similar. I always say

Unknown:

I have the best job on the planet. And it's it's that kind

Unknown:

of thing that you that you just said when somebody has a

Unknown:

realization that you're literally, you helped her see

Unknown:

her. And, and like the real her. And there's nothing better than

Unknown:

that. Honestly, when people can have that kind of a result. And

Unknown:

just like you said, it was simple. She needed help. She

Unknown:

asked for help you were there. And you helped her see her, like

Unknown:

really see her. And that created a transformation. And then she

Unknown:

got that confirmation from so many other people. That must be

Unknown:

right. Okay, now we're competing for best jobs on the planet at

Unknown:

least.

Unknown:

That sounds like the best job right there. Right? We're not

Unknown:

competing. But you know what I mean? Like that, that is so to

Unknown:

hear someone have that kind of an experience is so fulfilling

Unknown:

and meaningful? Yeah, absolutely. And it just, it was

Unknown:

great, because she didn't spend a lot of money, she didn't lose

Unknown:

any weight. And there was suddenly this shift in how she

Unknown:

saw herself. And it made all the difference in her day to day

Unknown:

interactions, her work life, her home life. And and that's truly

Unknown:

it's not just about the clothes, like you said, it's about all

Unknown:

the things that are attached to that and how we feel in them and

Unknown:

the actions that we take after that after. And when we put on

Unknown:

something that we feel confident in and when we show up

Unknown:

differently, and when we show up for ourselves and just look at

Unknown:

all the transformations right there. What you just what you

Unknown:

just said there's it's not just one it then it just multiplies

Unknown:

like crazy. From Yes, I'm definitely a cascading effect.

Unknown:

Yeah, absolutely. I really would love for you to share ways that

Unknown:

people can work with you. Because I remember when we were

Unknown:

working the brand shoot, I was like, Can I still work with you?

Unknown:

Because you were already you had already moved and you're like,

Unknown:

Yep, and made it really easy and super fun. So will you share

Unknown:

with people some of the ways that they can work with you?

Unknown:

Sure. So I do closet edits with clients because I really believe

Unknown:

you have to oftentimes let go of what's not working for you in

Unknown:

order to be open for new things. And that's basically me helping

Unknown:

you clean out your closet and go through the items and create new

Unknown:

outfits. You know, it's it's hard we get used to wearing the

Unknown:

same things every day and sometimes we just need a piece

Unknown:

of jewelry or a pop of color or a new pair of pants, whatever

Unknown:

that looks like and

Unknown:

And I do that virtually and in person. And then I also do the

Unknown:

update your look, which is what you and I kind of worked on

Unknown:

where we, you, you already know, you needed new things, right?

Unknown:

You were looking to uplevel your style, you had something coming

Unknown:

up, whether it was branding, photography or an event. And so

Unknown:

we create new outfits together. And it could be three to five

Unknown:

outfits. And I try and make it so that all those pieces work

Unknown:

together so that you really have a capsule wardrobe that works

Unknown:

for your life and your lifestyle, whether you work at

Unknown:

home three days a week, you go into the office. And again, I do

Unknown:

that virtually and in person, and then I do the personal

Unknown:

shopping, you know, I have a lot of clients right now reaching

Unknown:

out or going to events, you know, galahs and balls, and

Unknown:

these types of fundraisers are back. And so they have nothing

Unknown:

that fits, or they don't want to be the same person they were

Unknown:

before. And so they're looking for new outfits just for a one

Unknown:

off event. And the last one is the personal branding, when

Unknown:

people are really looking to rebrand themselves, or they

Unknown:

change positions, right? They have a new job, a new career,

Unknown:

whatever that looks like. And so I help them figure out, do you

Unknown:

like your branding colors? Do you like your branding colors,

Unknown:

but you don't want to wear your branding colors? Or how do I

Unknown:

want to present myself to my clients, you know, all of those

Unknown:

little pieces and, and I really try and work with all of those

Unknown:

packages and in ways so that I can do it virtually or in

Unknown:

person. And I do have clients all over the US and abroad.

Unknown:

It's amazing. It's amazing. I love everything that you that

Unknown:

you do. Oh, and that was the other thing that I just want to

Unknown:

add in is I remember because we we worked over a couple of

Unknown:

different there were a couple of different brand shoots. And I'll

Unknown:

never forget when you said, Okay, Kelly, we bought the new

Unknown:

things, you know, all the different ways to use them. And

Unknown:

what was so great is not only how to use them in what we

Unknown:

bought, but like the other things that I already had as

Unknown:

well. And so then I remember the second time I'm like, What are

Unknown:

we getting you and you said we're gonna go shop your closet,

Unknown:

we can do this and put it together. And I had no idea. I

Unknown:

had no idea. And then even after that second brand shoot, people

Unknown:

were like I love when you wear that, like, Jewel blue color

Unknown:

that again, you helped me find it in my closet, I didn't even

Unknown:

know it was there. It you know, it happens, you know, you go

Unknown:

through your closet, especially when I'm working with a client

Unknown:

cleaning out their closet, they find things they forgot they had

Unknown:

because we have so many, we get into wearing the same things

Unknown:

over and over. And we forget about the other things and we

Unknown:

don't bother trying it on because we think oh, that's not

Unknown:

gonna fit me anymore, or whatever it is, or it went with

Unknown:

the blue jeans, not my black jeans. Yeah. And so it just

Unknown:

languishes away. And, and so really, you don't always have to

Unknown:

spend a lot of money on new clothes. Sometimes it's just

Unknown:

finding something that's pop of color or maybe has some interest

Unknown:

a focal point or adding a blazer, you know, whatever that

Unknown:

looks like for you. You can kind of repurpose what you have in

Unknown:

new ways. Absolutely. Absolutely. And it was funny,

Unknown:

because I think shortly after that you had the wizard I think

Unknown:

it was a seven day purge closet challenge. So do you remember

Unknown:

and I'm like, Yeah, I better find anything that has a tag on

Unknown:

it so that I don't have to do that again, right and got it all

Unknown:

situated. So it was like, again, transformation after

Unknown:

transformation after transformation. Yeah, it was

Unknown:

incredible. Incredible. You have any special offers. Currently, I

Unknown:

do, I'm actually going to run that five day challenge. Again,

Unknown:

I do it, I try and do it two to three times a year. It's a

Unknown:

simple five day challenge to kind of get you going because

Unknown:

it's something that's always at the bottom of our to do list and

Unknown:

we're like, I want to do this. So I do it with my clients just

Unknown:

to give them a little bit of motivation and get them going.

Unknown:
