Shownotes

The salient point of today's discourse is that "faith that does not move has not yet decided to believe." We shall delve into the profound narrative of a woman beset by an affliction for twelve long years, whose resolute declaration and subsequent actions exemplify the principle that what one does is a reflection of what one truly believes. Her journey through the throngs, despite societal and legal prohibitions, serves as a poignant reminder that genuine faith necessitates movement and action. We shall explore how her persistent declarations culminated in her miraculous healing, thereby emphasizing the inextricable link between faith and action. As we engage with this narrative, let us reflect on our own lives and identify areas where we may be called to act in accordance with our beliefs, even amidst uncertainty. The narrative unfolds a poignant exploration of faith as demonstrated by the woman with the issue of blood, who, after enduring twelve years of suffering, exemplifies the profound principle that one’s actions are a true reflection of their beliefs. The episode elucidates how this woman, despite her societal and physical limitations, declared her intent to be healed by saying, 'If I touch His garment, I shall be made well.' This declaration was not merely a verbalization of desire; it was a catalyst for her subsequent actions. The hosts articulate that faith, when accompanied by movement, becomes tangible; it transitions from mere belief to a living reality. They convey the importance of being proactive in one's faith journey, asserting that 'faith that does not move has not yet decided to believe.' This episode serves as a clarion call to listeners, urging them to identify areas of their lives where they have been passively awaiting divine confirmation, and instead, to take bold steps of faith, thereby demonstrating their trust in the promises of God. The lesson is clear: it is through obedient action that one’s faith is validated and brought into fruition, echoing the sentiment that one's true beliefs are best reflected not in spoken words but in their lived experiences and choices.

Takeaways:

  • The actions we take are a profound declaration of our beliefs, revealing our true faith.
  • Obedient action serves as the body language of faith, which heaven acknowledges and responds to.
  • Confession must precede action; our declarations lay the groundwork for our movements in faith.
  • Faith is not merely a passive belief; it necessitates proactive steps, often before confirmation is received.

Transcripts

Speaker A:

For she said, if only I may touch his garment, I shall be made well.

Speaker A:

Matthew 9:21 welcome back to the series.

Speaker A:

What you do, what you say or do, is what you're making true.

Speaker A:

And in the last episode, Abraham showed us.

Speaker A:

Your mouth is a building site.

Speaker A:

Every confession is a brick.

Speaker A:

And today we move from the mouth to the feet.

Speaker A:

Because there is a woman in the Gospels, nameless, broke and out of options, who demonstrates the second half of this principle.

Speaker A:

What you do is what you believe, and what you believe is what you are making true.

Speaker A:

In the financial world, there is a term skin in the game.

Speaker A:

It is the moment a person moves from opinion to investment.

Speaker A:

Words alone cannot make that declaration.

Speaker A:

Only action can.

Speaker A:

The woman with the issue of blood had the ultimate skin in the game.

Speaker A:

Twelve years, bleeding, ceremonially unclean, legally prohibited from being in a public crowd.

Speaker A:

Going to Jesus was not courageous.

Speaker A:

It was illegal by the standards of her day.

Speaker A:

She said, if I touch his garment, I shall be made well.

Speaker A:

Then she moved.

Speaker A:

And what she said and did, she made.

Speaker A:

True Faith that does not move has not yet decided to believe.

Speaker A:

Mark 5:28 for she kept saying, if I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.

Speaker A:

The Greek is imperfect tense.

Speaker A:

She was saying it repeatedly before she got close enough to touch.

Speaker A:

Confession preceded the action.

Speaker A:

The saying came before the doing.

Speaker A:

And when the word was settled in her heart, her feet followed.

Speaker A:

Hebrews 11:1 tells us now, faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Speaker A:

Substance, evidence, physical terms.

Speaker A:

The woman's movement through the crowd was faith taking physical form.

Speaker A:

Heaven responded to the movement, not after the healing before it.

Speaker A:

Obedient action is not the proof that your faith worked.

Speaker A:

It is the proof that your faith exists.

Speaker A:

She did not move because she had received healing.

Speaker A:

She moved because she had decided to believe.

Speaker A:

I am waiting for God to confirm before I act.

Speaker A:

I don't want to move in presumption, some people may be saying.

Speaker A:

However, presumption moves without a word from God.

Speaker A:

Covenant confidence moves because of one she had heard the report of Jesus.

Speaker A:

That was her word.

Speaker A:

She acted on what she had.

Speaker A:

Now, that is faith.

Speaker A:

Faith always involves movement before confirmation.

Speaker A:

Let us identify one area where we have been waiting for perfect conditions.

Speaker A:

But the promise is already written.

Speaker A:

Take the step this week, this month, this year.

Speaker A:

Move from conviction, not comfort.

Speaker A:

You want to know your real beliefs?

Speaker A:

Don't look at your prayer list.

Speaker A:

Look at your schedule.

Speaker A:

Where you put your time and money is more an honest declaration than anything you say on a Sunday.

Speaker A:

Here are some main points for this message.

Speaker A:

To drive at home.1.

Speaker A:

Your actions are a declaration to heaven.

Speaker A:

When the woman moved through the crowd, passed the law, passed the shame, past 12 years of disappointment, she was announcing her expectation to the spiritual realm.

Speaker A:

Power does not release to passive observers.

Speaker A:

It releases to people who have put something in motion.

Speaker A:

James 2:17.

Speaker A:

In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

Speaker A:

Whether you are a business owner in Mumbai or a student in Nairobi, obedient action in the face of impossibility is the declaration.

Speaker A:

It is what heaven reads now.

Speaker A:

Obedient action is the body language of faith, and heaven reads it.

Speaker A:

Can I get AN Amen?.2 of the message.

Speaker A:

She said it before she did it.

Speaker A:

Confession before action, mouth before movement.

Speaker A:

The saying and the doing are not competing forces.

Speaker A:

They are covenant partners.

Speaker A:

The mouth builds the blueprint, the feet breaks the ground.

Speaker A:

Matthew 9:21 22 says.

Speaker A:

For she said to herself, if only I touch his cloak, I will be healed.

Speaker A:

Jesus turned and said, take heart, daughter, your faith has healed you.

Speaker A:

And the woman was healed at that moment.

Speaker A:

She stated to herself in private before the public miracle.

Speaker A:

Your private declarations are load bearing walls.

Speaker A:

Say it before you see it, then move before it arrives.

Speaker A:

That is the sequence of the miracle.

Speaker A:

Point three of the message.

Speaker A:

The return on obedient action is disproportionate.

Speaker A:

She came with one need.

Speaker A:

She left with more than what she came for.

Speaker A:

Jesus called her daughter covenant, belonging in a society that had excluded her for 12 years.

Speaker A:

She gave everything she had.

Speaker A:

She received healing, restoration, identity and a public testimony.

Speaker A:

God does not match your risk.

Speaker A:

He multiplies it.

Speaker A:

Luke 8:48.

Speaker A:

Then he said to her, daughter, your faith has healed you.

Speaker A:

Go in peace now.

Speaker A:

Some of you have been believing for 12 years and still haven't moved.

Speaker A:

Some of you have a prayer on your lips, but paralysis in your feet.

Speaker A:

Some of you say, I believe God for it.

Speaker A:

Then go home and do exactly what you would do if you didn't believe God for it at all.

Speaker A:

The woman did not let 12 years of disappointment become a reason not to move.

Speaker A:

She let it become the reason.

Speaker A:

She could not afford to.

Speaker A:

She had tried everything else.

Speaker A:

Now she was going to try faith with feet.

Speaker A:

Do what the woman did.

Speaker A:

Say it first.

Speaker A:

Write your specific declaration.

Speaker A:

If I take this step, I will receive what God has promised.

Speaker A:

Speak it every day this week.

Speaker A:

Then do it.

Speaker A:

Take the one concrete step your declaration is pointing to.

Speaker A:

One touch, one move.

Speaker A:

Come back in the next episode when David does both at once.

Speaker A:

Let us pray.

Speaker A:

Father, we confess we have separated our Belief from our behavior today.

Speaker A:

We choose to be like the woman to let our movement be our declaration.

Speaker A:

Let us courage to push.

Speaker A:

Give us the courage, please to push through the crowd.

Speaker A:

Give us conviction to move before the conditions confirm it.

Speaker A:

We will not wait for the healing to move.

Speaker A:

We will move and the healing will meet us on the way.

Speaker A:

In Jesus mighty name, Amen.

Speaker A:

Here are some applicable lessons for us.

Speaker A:

Identify the one step of faith action.

Speaker A:

You've been postponed.

Speaker A:

Postponing.

Speaker A:

Take it this week, not do it.

Speaker A:

Take it this week.

Speaker A:

Take the action this week, not when conditions are perfect.

Speaker A:

Next, write your declaration.

Speaker A:

If I take this step, I will receive what God has promised.

Speaker A:

Speak it before you move.

Speaker A:

Now audit your calendar and spending.

Speaker A:

Does where you put your time and money declare faith?

Speaker A:

Or does it declare fear?

Speaker A:

tudy the full account of Mark:

Speaker A:

Journal the sequence she heard said, moved, received, was restored.

Speaker A:

Now which stage are you at?

Speaker A:

Now let's look at some reflection and cross examination questions, shall we?

Speaker A:

Where does your faith live?

Speaker A:

In your mouth only?

Speaker A:

Or also in your feet?

Speaker A:

What action have you been withholding?

Speaker A:

Waiting for certainty of promise does not require.

Speaker A:

If somebody, someone observed your schedule and spending this week, what faith would they conclude you have?

Speaker A:

What crowd, what risk are you using as a reason not to move forward in your miracle?

Speaker A:

How long has your issue of blood been bleeding?

Speaker A:

What would it mean to move toward Jesus with everything you have now?

Speaker A:

12 Years is a long time to bleed, brothers and sisters.

Speaker A:

But she didn't title herself the woman with the issue of blood.

Speaker A:

Jesus titled her daughter.

Speaker A:

Your condition is not your name.

Speaker A:

Your covenant name is what God calls you when the miracle arrives.

Speaker A:

This woman heard about Jesus, not seen him.

Speaker A:

A testimony, a word of mouth that was enough for her to move.

Speaker A:

You have more than a report.

Speaker A:

You have the written word.

Speaker A:

You have the covenant.

Speaker A:

What is stopping you?

Speaker A:

The world system gave her a return of worse.

Speaker A:

The kingdom system gave everything back, plus more than she asked for.

Speaker A:

That is not an anomaly, that is a pattern.

Speaker A:

The kingdom always outperforms for those who are willing to move.

Speaker A:

And we will see you in the next and final message in this series when your words match your walk.

Speaker A:

How David declared and moved in the same breath.

Speaker A:

And why.

Speaker A:

Alignment is everything.

Speaker A:

We'll see you in the next episode.
