What's up, radiant icons and welcome back to Dare To Be
2
:Iconic, the podcast made for icons
who are daring to be themselves.
3
:I'm your host, Amanda Paolicelli,
and for today's Tea Time sesh, we are
4
:doing a very, very special episode
because we are sharing your Dare To Be
5
:Iconic stories right here, right now to
celebrate two years of this very podcast,
6
:I cannot believe it, two years, three
seasons, and so many amazing, iconic,
7
:radiant icons in our lovely community.
8
:But before we spill the tea
on your fabulous stories, I
9
:dare you to connect with me on
socials on Instagram and TikTok.
10
:It's @amandapaolicelli_
and @daretobeiconic_.
11
:And if you're on LinkedIn radiant icons,
you already know what I'm gonna say.
12
:Make sure to connect with me on there.
13
:It's Amanda Paolicelli.
14
:All of my socials are linked
in the show notes below.
15
:Now let's get to that piping hot tea.
16
:Are you ready?
17
:radiant icons, because your
tee time sesh is starting now.
18
:Hi, my name is Alondra.
19
:I am from Puerto Rico and Dare To Be
Iconic has helped me in so, so many ways.
20
:First of all, the community, uh, shout
out to the Radiant Icon community because
21
:when I met Amanda back in May, 2025, we
met at her amazing event of Lando Bash.
22
:And honestly, I loved it.
23
:Felt so healed in that moment because
before going to Miami and even after I
24
:was just in such a dark spot mentally I
was just having trouble just living my
25
:life and it was a very difficult time.
26
:And just being able to
have that community.
27
:And that like sense of comfort
within the radiant icon and the
28
:dare to be iconic community.
29
:I just felt so grateful to have
met Amanda and the beautiful people
30
:that she brought into her community.
31
:I think that being a radiant icon means
pretty much everything because it means
32
:that you are empowered, that you have so
much love and comfort within yourself.
33
:And as a person, as a human,
as a woman, just everything.
34
:And just, I couldn't be prouder
of being a radiant icon.
35
:And honestly, I love Amanda
and everything that she does.
36
:I think every single one of her
episodes has a different teaching,
37
:um, a different lesson to life.
38
:Um, and just different, you know, advice
and tips on how to be a radiant icon.
39
:And I think that it's what we need
at the moment and I think that it's
40
:perfect that she's doing this and
dedicating so much of herself to
41
:this podcast and this community.
42
:And it's absolutely beautiful to
witness how many women are connected
43
:because of dare to be iconic.
44
:Hi, fellow Radiant icons.
45
:I'm Bella and I'm from New York City,
and I have been friends with Amanda
46
:for almost three years At this point.
47
:I'm very excited that we get
to share our own stories to be
48
:on her podcast and her videos.
49
:The whole brand of Dare to Be
Iconic has really helped me
50
:recently in my journey because.
51
:We, I feel like me and Amanda,
we both have somewhat similar
52
:stories with relationships.
53
:I don't have the story of the letter
in the box on the porch, but I do
54
:have pretty ter terrible experiences
being in relationships, being treated
55
:badly and not being treated right.
56
:And I think that the whole brand of
Dare to be iconic has really helped
57
:me to feel more confident in myself
and to really feel like I am able to
58
:express myself the way that I want
to and not be a, and not be scared
59
:to be judged or anything like that.
60
:'Cause when I was in my last relationship,
it felt as though I had to be.
61
:Or put on a, an act to get the
kind of attention I wanted.
62
:But now being single, I feel like I can
do whatever I want and be who I wanna be.
63
:And that's all thanks to this
amazing person and this amazing
64
:podcast, Dare To Be Iconic.
65
:Hi everyone, my name is Anja.
66
:I'm from Opia, from Macedonia, and I'm
filming this for like the million time.
67
:Um, so I'm currently finishing up my
high school degree in law, but I'm
68
:not gonna continue in that field.
69
:I'm going in into pr.
70
:Um, and hopefully we'll specialize
in master in sports media to fulfill
71
:my dream of becoming a sports
media manager or a peer manager
72
:for a team in more sports hockey.
73
:Any sports.
74
:And I'm so excited to, to share how
Dare to Be Iconic has been a part of
75
:that transition and of that decision
76
:in my personal journey, dare to be
iconic has been a huge thing for my
77
:confidence and has given me a lot of it.
78
:I struggle with a stutter, as
you will probably hear into
79
:the, like that, into this video.
80
:And I, I know that we all
have some insecurities.
81
:So, um, Dare To Be Iconic and Amanda
has helped me, um, you know, uh,
82
:realize that I don't have to wait for
permission to start leading to be myself.
83
:And also a major breakthrough for me
was when I created, um, my own project,
84
:like the podcast, feeling the Dream.
85
:And when I started contacting more people,
uh, I think Amanda and everyone in the
86
:community, they are watchers of Amanda.
87
:Lair, um, shadow to her.
88
:She's one of my favorite creators.
89
:Uh, and, and I think
most first friends, yeah.
90
:Um, realize that I can do this if
I have, uh, if I have my mind on
91
:something, that I can, uh, do that and
I will, you know, go until the end.
92
:Uh, there were moments like when I
felt like really small into the motor
93
:sports community, but I think the
community like Amanda has helped me
94
:a lot and watching her episode in
there to be clinic has been a huge
95
:thing and I'm really grateful for her.
96
:So the next thing I wanna answer is,
what does radiant icon mean to you?
97
:So, to me, uh, being a radiant icon is
about leading with excellence, but also
98
:with empathy about being nice to others.
99
:Uh, I I think it's also about having the
self-love to know your word differently,
100
:but also the confidence to lead the way
for others, like your community, your
101
:friends, um, your family and more things.
102
:So the there to be a
connect message, uh, help.
103
:Uh, shape my, my growth by teaching me
that confidence isn't about being perfect.
104
:Definitely I have learned
that, um, into the hard way.
105
:Uh, it's about being visible to
others, inspiring other people.
106
:Definitely me being in the sports
media, I have inspired many more people
107
:that want to start a community, and
it means a lot because as a child, I
108
:would love to have someone do that for
me, whether I'm interviewing drivers.
109
:Or I don't know.
110
:I'm planning my next
content, my media move.
111
:I think being radiant means showing
up and not teaming my light to
112
:fit into a traditional, into the
traditional spaces, like changing
113
:myself for, you know, others.
114
:Um, it's, it helped me.
115
:Uh, I don't know.
116
:It, I don't know.
117
:It helped me get my own ambition
without saying story to others.
118
:I have to be quick for my favorite
episode because, uh, I'm already
119
:it for minutes, but my favorite
is with Lair, born to Fan Girl.
120
:I think this episode stood out
me, stood out to me because Lair
121
:talked about being a fan girl.
122
:It's about having a superpower as someone
who is incredibly passionate about
123
:motorsports, about bands, about singer.
124
:I think, uh, I sometimes felt like that
I had to down, uh, I had to tone down
125
:my excitement to fit with others, but
hearing Amanda and Lair discuss her
126
:turning into project like podcast like
Lair has, I think, um, it resonated with
127
:my journey because it validated that
you don't have to choose between being
128
:a professional and being a pen girl, but
you can lead with any dream you have.
129
:So, I love you, Amanda.
130
:I'm so proud of you.
131
:I'm so happy for your podcast.
132
:So have the best day ever
and love to the community.
133
:Katie Hornsby: so being
iconic in my everyday life.
134
:I think is truly just being exactly
who you are and not giving a care
135
:about what anyone else thinks about
you, and just walking with that
136
:confidence in life because yeah, if
you have the confidence, you're iconic.
137
:Alison Renee: Being iconic, like,
I love your saying there, because
138
:it's not like there are certain,
like, rules, and it's kind of like a
139
:personal, authentic journey, and you
can interpret being iconic however
140
:you want, and personally, for me,
it's just the focus of being iconic.
141
:Not caring about people's opinions and
being authentic because like for so long
142
:I've tried to mold into the people I
was around to make sure that like I'm
143
:accepted and like But being iconic is
like breaking past that it's like no more.
144
:Fashionably Single: So I think
daring to be iconic to me means
145
:being confident in your own skin,
being fearless, um, and being bold.
146
:And I think I live that in my
everyday life just by being myself.
147
:I.
148
:I like to romanticize my life.
149
:I lived, I like to live a soft girl life.
150
:I love to just sit at a cafe
by myself and read or write.
151
:And then I also like to go out with my
friends and get dressed up and get cute,
152
:but I just love doing what I love to do
in the moment and just take it day by day.
153
:I think for me, when I think of like,
what does dare to be iconic mean to
154
:me, I really focus on the word iconic.
155
:Mm-hmm.
156
:And so.
157
:It, I, I, I wanna translate it
into dare to make an impact.
158
:'cause when I think of iconic,
it means like it's impactful.
159
:So I think of like, when you wake up
every morning, you should be thinking,
160
:how am I gonna make an impact today?
161
:Or what is the impact
that I'm gonna make today?
162
:It could be something personal
like your family, your career,
163
:yourself, your health, or it
could be on a much larger scale.
164
:So I mean, you could think of like, how am
I gonna make an impact in my community or
165
:in the world if you wanna go like grand.
166
:But I really do think it is how
dare to make a positive impact.
167
:That's how I interpret it.
168
:And then for me, in my own personal
life, um, I would say I represent
169
:the iconic vibe by just taking risks.
170
:I feel like I've always had this
mentality of, if I want to try
171
:something, what is stopping me?
172
:And 99% of the time it's
nothing except for myself.
173
:And I refuse to let like imposter syndrome
or feelings of inadequacy stop me from
174
:having this experience or opportunities.
175
:Leire Garcia: so I
think dare to be iconic.
176
:For me it means more like having
the courage to show up as myself.
177
:And like trusting myself.
178
:Even when it feels like scary or yes or
really different, and especially ignoring
179
:what others might think or, or might say.
180
:Mm-hmm.
181
:Um, so that's also my way of like
daring myself to be iconic in every day.
182
:I dare myself to be iconic
even when I'm doubting myself.
183
:I mean, to be honest, I
doubt myself all the time.
184
:Even when I'm overthinking, I keep going.
185
:I keep showing up, I keep doing
content, you know, so it's like even
186
:if I can't, I trust myself and I trust
what I can do and what I'm able to do.
187
:Jessica Mesnick: To me, iconic means
embracing your true, authentic, messy,
188
:chaotic self, whatever that means to
you, embracing your wins as well as your
189
:failures, acknowledging just who you
are as a person and living that through.
190
:And in my daily life, In order to
be an icon and pursue that iconic
191
:mentality that you push so hard.
192
:I love I try so hard to just
always be working towards my
193
:highest self always been working
towards growing And embracing that.
194
:So I think around March, I found your
podcast and I started like listening to
195
:every single episode that you had and.
196
:I think that like the one I love
the most was the breakup of your
197
:past fall in love with the future.
198
:Like on this little journal
that you gave me, that's a gift
199
:from you Showcase the journal.
200
:Thank you.
201
:Thank you.
202
:I'm so grateful for that.
203
:I'm so grateful for that.
204
:Like it's going to help me even
more than your podcast already did.
205
:I think that there's like, man, many
more people who are thankful for
206
:your existence and for your podcast.
207
:Love you, amanda.
208
:Welcome to the Fashionably Single
Podcast, where single life meets
209
:real talk, hosted by Hannah.
210
:This guy is sitting next to me and
this was like a no shoe kind of house,
211
:so he had to take his shoes off.
212
:They were playing cards, drinking, and
then all of a sudden he starts rubbing his
213
:foot on my leg and her co-host Jessica.
214
:So he leaves me at the table, he gets
his food, he goes back to his car.
215
:I'm thinking he's
dipping out on this date.
216
:I just told him I don't want to marry
him and I won't let him kill me.
217
:So two millennials in
Austin, Texas, navigating.
218
:Independence and becoming your best
self with confidence and style.
219
:All right, radiant icons.
220
:That is your tea time sesh for today.
