A lot of real estate agents seek advice from big players in the industry. However, not all of it should be taken as gospel. What are some of the crazy things being propagated by big players today? There are a lot of crazy things being propagated. Before taking any advice, understand where the person is coming from. -Lars Hedenborg

3 Things We Learned From This Episode

  • Don’t believe the suggestion that you need more lead sources. Focus instead on having a smaller number with deeper connections.
  • Ignore the idea that team leaders need to give 70% of commission earnings to their agents. There are far too many expenses for this to be a feasible option.
  • Focusing on attracting, converting and delivering is simply not enough. Make sure you’re paying attention to how you spend money or you’ll create hell for yourself.

There are a lot of crazy things said by big players in the industry, and you just don’t have to worry about trying to keep up with it all. The key to sifting through the good and bad tips lies in understanding where they’re coming from. When you’re looking for help from someone in the industry, make sure their suggestions work in harmony with your own business.
