Hello everyone and welcome to the Transformational Teacher Podcast.
Host:I am your host, detoya.
Host:Thank you so much for taking out the time to listen to this episode.
Host:I am thankful for all that you do inside the classroom for your students.
Host:Thank you for what you do behind the scenes.
Host:What you do matters and I am thankful for you.
Host:You are needed.
Host:You are valuable.
Host:Keep going and doing God's will.
Host:Well, let's go ahead and jump into our episode for today.
Host:Today our topic is a surrendered will.
Host:Now me and God, we were having some study time.
Host:This was actually during the summer whenever God gave this to me.
Host:But I felt led to share it with you all today.
Host:So let's go ahead and I'm going to tell you the first five sentences that God said to me.
Host:He said, surrender your day to God.
Host:Surrender your class to God.
Host:Surrender your heart to God.
Host:Surrender your entire being to God.
Host:Surrender your will to God.
Host:Surrender to God.
Host:Decision to do what he says in spite of my feelings.
Host:Even when we don't feel like doing something he tells us to do, guess what?
Host:We have to do it anyway if he's telling us to do it.
Host:He wants us to live a surrendered life.
Host:And that means we want to give up our fleshly desire for what he wants us to do.
Host:We may feel like, huh, I.
Host:I want to do something else.
Host:But no, I encourage you.
Host:If God says to do it, go ahead and do it.
Host:Doing God's will is what will bring us even more joy.
Host:It will bring us peace.
Host:Doing God's will.
Host:Sometimes fear may try to creep in.
Host:Doubt may try to creep in.
Host:Cuz I'll be honest, sometimes when I'm doing something God tells me to do, if it's something that's I don't typically do, sometimes I may be like, huh, I don't know about that.
Host:But I encourage you.
Host:As you surrender that fear to Him.
Host:Give it over to him and take his will, his plan.
Host:It'll work out for you.
Host:So again, surrender.
Host:Surrender to God.
Host:He wants to use our words, our thoughts, our desires daily.
Host:Give up your will, your control, your way of doing things, your way of thinking, your way of handling things.
Host:For his way.
Host:His way is so much better than our way.
Host:Now the thing is, in order to do things his way, we have to know what his way is.
Host:And the way we know that is by spending time in His Word.
Host:So we have to take out time.
Host:It is vital that we take out time each and every day to spend with God.
Host:I always encourage you to at least take out sometime in the morning to spend with him, because that is the start of your day.
Host:You want to ask him, God, what is it that you have me to do on this day?
Host:I.
Host:I surrender my plan over to you.
Host:I surrender my mind over to you.
Host:And I ask that you will guide and direct my steps.
Host:So, again, surrender to God daily.
Host:And as I'm telling you this, this is something that I work on daily.
Host:I work on surrendering things over to him daily.
Host:Even with this episode, this is not what I originally had an idea to talk to you all about.
Host:But as I was going through my notebook when I came across this, he.
God:Was like, that's what I want you to talk about.
Host:But I was like, well, God, I.
God:Don'T want to talk about that right now.
Host:But I'm so thankful that I did.
God:Because even in me going through this.
Host:It was like, no, this is what.
God:He wants me to do.
God:Even with this podcast, he wants me to surrender it to him and do.
Host:What he says to do.
God:So I'm encouraging you.
God:Surrender your will.
God:Surrender your class over to God.
God:Operate in your classroom like he tells you to.
God:Operate in it.
God:Okay, let's go ahead.
God:Allow God to again, work through you.
Host:To reach your students and others.
God:When we allow him to do it through us, the results are so much better.
God:The way that we treat others, the way that we speak to others, it speaks volumes.
Host:We represent God everywhere we go.
God:We represent him in our classroom, in our home.
Host:We represent him in the store.
God:Because when we're in the store and there's a situation, if someone, let's just.
Host:Say they're going off on you, the.
God:Way you respond to them, it matters.
God:We have to respond the way God.
Host:Wants us to respond.
God:We have to surrender our way for his way.
God:The way you handle classroom challenges is a reflection of God.
God:When you respond yelling, or if you respond with firmness but calmness, it matters.
God:Again, people are looking at you.
God:Your students are looking up to you.
God:Your students, they need to see you model self control so then they know how to use self control in challenging situations.
God:Surrender.
God:Surrender to God.
God:Surrender your mouth to God.
God:As people, sometimes we want the last say so.
God:Yeah, sometimes I want the last say so.
God:But the thing is, we have to surrender that to God also.
God:We won't control.
God:We have to surrender that to God also.
God:And as we surrender to Him, I promise you, things will be so much better.
God:So again, I encourage you, surrender your will to to God.
God:Surrender to him daily.
God:So as you go throughout this week, I encourage you to reflect daily on how it feels to surrender to God, reflect on his faithfulness.
God:Now you may hit some bumps in the road, some challenges may come up, but one thing for sure is that God's faithfulness remains.
God:God can help you through any situation.
God:The thing is we have to be willing and allow him to to help us.
God:So again, allow him to help you on this week.
God:Surrender to him daily.
God:Do what he tells you to do.
God:Well, as always, thank you so much for listening to this episode.
God:Continue to pray, listen, transform so you can teach and make that godly impact that God has called you to make inside your classrooms.
God:I want to leave you with a scripture, Proverbs 16:3.
Host:It says, Commit your works to the Lord, submit and trust them to him and your plans will succeed if you respond to his will and guidance.
Host:So as we commit to God and if we do his will, then our plans will succeed.
Host:So let's pray.
Host:Well, Heavenly Father, we thank you right now.
Host:We thank you Lord, just for who you are.
Host:We thank you for your goodness.
Host:We thank you for your love.
Host:We thank you for your mercy.
Host:We thank you for your faithfulness Lord.
Host:We thank you Lord God, that you have called us for such a time as this to go inside of our class classrooms and make the impact that you've called for for us to make.
Host:You know each student that's inside of our classroom.
Host:You know us best.
Host:So we thank you Lord God, for guiding, directing our footsteps on this week for we surrender Lord God, our week over to you.
Host:And we ask Lord God, that your will be done inside of our classroom.
Host:We ask, oh God, that you will guide and direct our every footstep.
Host:We thank you that you will instruct us and you will teach us in the way that we should go on this week.
Host:And as you instructing teachers, we will say yes, we will surrender daily to you in Jesus name.
Host:Amen.
Host:Thank you all so much.
Host:Have a great day.
