His career has spanned municipal policing, more than two decades with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office—where he rose to Undersheriff—private-sector business ownership, and executive leadership at the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.

He is also the recipient of the Medal of Valor, Sheriff’s Purple Heart Medal, and Florida Governor’s Medal of Heroism after being shot three times while saving the life of another deputy.
